Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jun 2026 A delightful small site that is beautifully presented. The site is situated in the delightful village of Caldbeck which has two excellent cafes, a great local pub that has a great menu and a well stocked local shop.
The site has excellent facilities which are kept immaculately cleaned. The site is kept neat and tidy by the owner who works hard to give everyone a great experience.
Great location for visiting the Northern Lakes without the crowds of the Central Lakes
I would highly recommend a visit.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jun 2026 Although it mostly rained during my stay, I had a nice time. Received a leaflet with essential details upon arrival, loved the sauna-like shower cabins and the extensive information in the wash up area was very handy.
Picnic tables are available at almost every pitch, and there's always the sounds of the creek and birds.
A refrigerator/freezer would have made my stay even more agreeable but it wasn't too warm during my stay so I managed without.
The charging station (USB) depends on solar energy, the owner was so kind to help me out with my almost flat phone battery during the rainy days. Much appreciated!

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches May 2026 Lovely campsite for all ages. Cheap and in a lovely location. Locals are all extremely friendly and owners are welcoming. Would definitely come again!

Bell Tent - Bell Tent Aug 2025 I would highly recommend the bell tent to anyone who is looking for a lovely, chilled night away. The facilities were amazing and everything was very clean. The bed was SO comfy.

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2025 Such an affordable and accessible campsite! Especially great for people walking the Cumbria way as you walk though on your way to Carlisle and there are a few free solar powered plug sockets!
Would definitely recommend to anyone, pub nearby too ;)
Lovely little camp
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2025 Beautiful lake running through camp, space for wild swimming at bottom. Fire pits on each pitch, pitches are of a very good size!
The site was very peaceful with little to no noise in the evenings.
Host was lovely and friendly. Would definitely return.

Immaculate spacious pitches, toilet and showers were amazingly clean! Grass was perfectly mowed. Convenient location, near by shops, restaurants and beautiful walks.
Great value for money, would highly recommend and can't wait to rebook and visit again.

Toilet block clean and accessible. Even wee cleaning area for your dishes ect.

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jul 2025 Pleasantly greeted when we arrived at the site and directed to our pitch.
Well situated and easy to access. Plenty of room on the pitch for both our tents and motorcycles. The facilities were clean and well kept.
Would happily recommend and return ourselves in the future.

Toilet and shower block was clean and spacious.
Washing up hut did the job perfectly and had a load of useful local information as well.
There's also a pub a short distance away (~5 minute walk) which does good food.

Amazing
Bell Tent - Bell Tent Jun 2025 Absolutely over the moon with the bell tent and the clean amenities - we arrived to a supply of milk, water, coffee, decaf, tea bags and sugar, toilet rolls, firefighters and lighter, use of a gas stove and cutlery, clothes rail and comfy chairs inside and the bed with the 'teddy bear' blanket was lovely and warm despite the weather being cold and wet.
Own private sink and toilet was a great and the shower blocks were extremely clean.
We had a fantastic time and will use this site as a regular base when visiting local area. We booked it to do the climb the mine at honister but the 50mm drive going through Keswick was well worth it .
Will use the campsite for camping as well as very well layed-out and with electric use and every pitch having a fire pit was amazing.
Someone was always available at the house when we required but to be fair that was arriving and leaving as we were left alone which we prefer.
Local pub very nice as well. On the river as well which was lovely to walk down to. No park though if that's what you would want if you took young children but with the river they probably wouldn't notice.

Lovely little campsite

Each pitch had a picnic bench and firepit as standard and the cleanliness was second to none as the loos were cleaned twice a day!
The only thing missing was ice block freezing facilities, besides this it had everything we look for in a campsite. Will be returning.

Busy, good, budget campsite Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jul 2024 This park is good for walkers passing through the Lake District. For longer stays, it's ok if you like it busy with people, not suitable if you like it quiet and peaceful.
The host are lovely and the toilets, showers and washing up area were immaculate, plenty of hot water too.
