Set amongst an array of trees and open spaces, Roundhill Campsite is the perfect New Forest getaway with an onsite lake and curious wild donkeys and ponies. Just five minutes to Brockenhurst and 15 to Lyndhurst, this site is well located and a great base for exploring all the New Forest has to offer. The site has 265 non electric grass pitches and two bell tents, with walks in every direction, there is plenty to explore.

Staff are very friendly, loads of space, although it might be busier during summer holidays. Showers and cleanliness really good. Easy walk to Brockenhurst. My only negative point is that more dish washing stations are needed.
Perfect and different!

Perfect site with plenty of facilities. Showers - some of the best campsite showers I've used and never a queue. Toilets great too, both lovely and clean. Plenty of room for everyone to choose a nice spot to camp. Nicely flat. Peaceful, other than the guy with the loud generator which shouldn't be allowed. You're camping, is there's a need? Really lovely, friendly staff. Welcome hut selling essentials, including lovely ice cream. Best bit - the donkeys and ponies wondering the site! So bizarre but lovely to see the babies wondering around amongst the tents and campervans! We're in their space, we're their guests, so need to have respect for them. But so beautiful to keep a distance and watch. Perfect walks in the forest with more ponies wondering wild. What a spot.

Lovely, open campsite with plenty of space and non marked pitches in the heart of the New Forest. Could do with more facilities, in particular same washing up stations as there were often queues during busy times. Also, separate washrooms - just two sinks crammed next to the toilets in a container as far as I found. Not exactly pleasant hearing a fellow camper having a clear out within a metre of you brushing your teeth. Excellent showers. Kids loved it. Spent their time riding on their bikes for three days, and of course, the various ponies, donkeys, cows and wildlife make the setting idyllic. Paths from the back of the campsite on to a disused airfield and lead to Boldre without hitting a road. Nice and flat so our two kids of 8 and 5 could easily keep up. We went on to Bucklers hard without too much fuss, although the roads were a bit busier. We also walked to Brockenhurst on one rainy day, but got a taxi back as the kids were done after the excellent pub lunch!

Was really a good, great location and pitch site. Only comments I have is the showers, the way designed, water runs onto floor even with curtain closed. On my last day, went to grab a coffee and I know the man on duty was stressed as card machine wasn't working but when I asked about if I could pay cash, snapped at me 'no' but not in polite way! Perhaps could have been more polite as I was leaving, as small things like that left me with a not so happy memory. Not even a thank you for staying.

We had the best one night stay. It's amazing how much you can pack into one afternoon and one morning. We ticked off horses, donkeys, cows, and 3 foals. Park by the pond for animal spotting. Kev gave us a very warm welcome. Thank you for our stay!

Great place. Huge open spaces. No numbered pitches on top of each other, just pitch where you like. Plenty of room for outside activities. Showers and toilet facilities top class. Tiny bit of road noise and the odd hoot from the trains but nothing too intrusive. Would recommend and I will be going back.

This site was fantastic. Great location and we love the fact you can choose where to pitch/park rather than having set pitches. Never feel like your on top of one and another. Spotless hot rainfall showers, clean toilets and great recycling options too. Many walks and cycle paths and very dog friendly. We will be back!!

Wonderful open space to choose your pitch. Even on a bank holiday weekend it didn't feel crowded. Showers and loos clean - no queuing. Shout out to Kevin who saved our supper when the Cadac wouldn't spark and they had sold out of sparklers. He lent us his and made a special trip to his van to get it. Zero phone signal but Wi-Fi at reception and it was great to have enforced device detox.

If you want to be immersed in nature and the New Forest, this campsite is perfect. Lovely location, you can walk through the forest to Brockenhurst in around 45 mins and if you cycle, there are plenty of cycling routes around the New Forest. Staff are super friendly and accommodating and the facilities are very clean.

This is a wonderful place to stay with beautiful surroundings. The facilities included a small reception with a little shop, shower and toilet blocks, water and waste sites .Washing up areas and fire points dotted throughout. We had a wonderful welcome and really liked the simple, quiet and natural feel to the place. The site is huge and you can choose where you fancy pitching with loads of options! Will definitely stay again!

Warm friendly welcome, lovely location, toilets and showers clean and water hot. Really impressed they are just for 6 months, then taken away. Only downside, lots of cow and horse 💩 If it bothers you, don't stay here!
