Beautifully brushing the shoreline, Ardnamurchan Campsite has pitches which look out over the ocean and mountains, with access for swimming, walking, fishing, rock-pooling and paddling around in a kayak. Enjoy the peace, fantastic wildlife and tempting mountain scenery of this rural part of Scotland.

About the site

There are a total of 25 pitches for tents and motorhomes / campervans - but sorry, caravans cannot stay! A selection of pitches are just above the high water, giving you that fabulous feeling of camping on the seafront. The site is on a slope, but benefits from clever terracing. That means, basically, great views which aren't interrupted by your neighbour's unit or tent poles, plus flat pitching for everyone. The views are really cracking too, taking in Ben Hiant, the Sound of Mull and the ocean.

Open from 5 April to 31 October.

A cosy pod which sleeps three in one double and a single, offering storage and a bed inside, plus light from solar power. The porch offers excellent shelter with a cooking area.

Whalebone Bothy

Max 6 people

A simple and cosy cottage for 2-6, with self contained bedrooms, bathroom and open plan kitchen. Inside is a double bed and bunk beds.

Things to do on site and in the Acharacle area

No walker could look at Ben Hiant for long and not want to see for himself what's at the top.,

In many ways, the local wildlife are the stars here, so hop on board a marine tour and get your camera ready for some incredible up close encounters. The ride over to Staff and Lunga is home to dolphins, seals, whales and much more.

It wouldn't be Scotland without a wee dram, so stop off at the Ardnamurchan Distillery for the perfect tipple.
