Pleasant stay

Medium Tent - Grass Pitches Jun 2025 Great, little campsite. The camping field is sloped but didn't detract from our stay. Quiet, clean and well managed.
Worth noting that there isn't a shower "block" just a couple of individual showers / loos for each gender - imagine when the site is busy, you could end up queuing.
Lovely views, disturbed by other guests
Large Tent - Grass Pitches Sep 2024 The camping field is picturesque but on quite a slope.
There seems to be no restriction on entrance time of guests, so at almost 11pm at night, we had a very loud air cooled camper park directly behind our tent, waking us up with noise, brake lights and petrol fumes.
The electrical hook-ups are all at the top of the field, so if you are in a tent and want power, you are in amongst the constant noise of camper sliding doors owing and closing.
Facilities are fine, toilets okay, showers okay and very clean.
1st time, sublime
Small Tent - Grass Pitches Aug 2024 It was our first time camping and we really enjoyed our little stay. The perfect place to ease into camping or visit with a group. Plenty of space to pitch a tent and wasn't too busy. Beautiful views.

Large Tent - Grass Pitches Aug 2024 A great site. It was very quiet, even though there was a few there, it was quiet and didn't feel busy.
It was great seeing red kites. It probably needs more toilets, as there was a bit of a queue in the morning. Especially when you have a desperate 5 yr old.
Great fridge facilities and location for LegoLand.
Can't wait to go back again

First camping trip

Peaceful & beautiful site
Trailer Tent - Grass Pitches Jun 2024 We lengthened our stay as it was so quiet! Best location with an incredible view, good facilities and great dog walks on our doorstep. I can imagine that at weekends it would be very different, but perfect for a quiet getaway mid week.
We will definitely be coming again!

Disappointing Large Tent - Grass Pitches Apr 2024 We felt the facilities were sparse, tired and water to the basins were tepid. Tiles were coming off the wall and there were a lack of clothes hooks.
Also, with several glamping tents, I would question if 3 showers is enough! Felt it was impersonal booking and pitching and I thought the grass pitches were poorly maintained or marked. The route around the site was also blocked by a boat with a name in questionable taste for a family site!
Area unfortunately lacking in pubs that are open within walking distance (not owners fault!) Beautiful views but noise of M40&A40 were constant at night.
Excellent campsite with first rate facilities
Medium Tent - Grass Pitches Dec 2023 We had a short stay here during the school holidays. We were easily able to find and access the site. The pitches were well signposted and due to the muddy weather, we found the hard ground good for parking our car.
We paid a reasonable fee to hook up to the electricity, which was very useful. The toilet and shower facilities were clean and well lit, especially for the dark winter evenings. The local area is beautiful and not too far from facilities, so the best of both worlds.
All in all, a lovely stay, hope to be back in warmer weather!

Legoland trip
Large Tent - Grass Pitches Aug 2023 First camping trip with the children and we all had the best time. Legoland is within easy reach at about 30 mins.
The facilities are well maintained and clean, staff were very helpful. We found a very nice kebab van for take out, which all the locals were raving about, and apparently has been running for 30 years. Although expect a little wait as it is that popular.
We would definitely visit this campsite again!
Excellent stay
Medium Tent - Grass Pitches Aug 2023 Fantastic little spot - very clean and helpful. Great to be able to have your own fire. A little drive to the local shops as the pub next door isn't currently open, but didn't detract from an excellent stay!

Absolutely brilliant campsite
Medium Tent - Grass Pitches Jul 2023 This campsite has gorgeous views over the valley, which gives you the perfect setting for beautiful sunrises and sunsets!
It's unmanned so just rock up and choose where you want to camp. The showers and toilets were fine. The washer and dryer were super expensive and it only takes £2 coins, which was difficult to sort out when it was needed in an emergency and I had to take the car out at 6 am to get some change!
