Noisy road

Lovely campsite except for the A39 that runs far too close to the site. Lots of road noise until late. Owners dogs incessantly barks again all day and until late at night. The campsite is well maintained and had good facilities. Would I return? No. Could I recommend? In all honesty, no, due to the constant bellow of traffic.

Lovely site

Visible improvements being made to the site. I would like to see the upgrade of the toilet facilities to include additional private wash areas for men. Approach to the reception was impressive and there is a well stocked shop. Owners very friendly. Pitches are predominantly grass and some levelling off was required for our campervan. Plenty of hot water in the washing up area and in the toilets. The shower block has been upgraded and is a push button operation. Plenty of space and area to locate clothes during showering. There is some road noise from traffic.

Lovely site, great location, fab hosts. We had a lovely time here rain or shine it was ace.

Brilliant stay- super pet friendly

Really lovely site, very pet friendly and respectful. The facilities are very clean and well looked after and there's a place to wash the dog after a long day. Everything you need is on site and very friendly owners. Close to beaches and walks around Cornwall.

Great campsite

Great site, good location, good clean facilities. Helpful & friendly staff.

It will be a nice site when it is finished

The current owners only took over the site last year, so this is their first season. They are in the process of updating the whole site, so there was an amount of work going on during the day, but this didn't cause us any problems. The facilities that we used, toilets and showers, were good. The showers, I would say, were very good as they look as though they have been reworked. The ladies' were still a work in progress, so the gents' were Unisex for our stay, but this wasn't a hardship at all. The owners were on hand the whole time we were onsite. They were friendly and very approachable, and I would add that they were lovely people. Would we stay again? Yes.

Quirky and lovely

We stayed in the Bluebird glamping bus, what a lovely quirky place to stay - the kids loved it as there is hi-viz vest and some bus driver badges hanging up, so they can sit in the driver's seat and pretend to drive. We a really, really enjoyed our 2 nights here. Site is undergoing some updating and work, but the site is still a really nice place to be and the plans sound even better. Both owners were really lovely and friendly, and made us all feel very welcome which was a really nice way to end our kids' half term. Local food and taxis are really well priced and really good food.

Good area

It was a pleasure to stay there, the staff were kind and everything worked well. Good walking area on a hill alongside.

Lovely small peaceful site.

Lovely site very quiet and relaxing. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Great knowledge of the area. Lovely walks around the site.

Weekend camp

Lovely friendly site, but generally looking a bit tired and in need of some maintenance around the site.

Four out of five

We had to move because they did not want a motorhome, which we thought we had booked, not the small tent which appeared on our booking form, near the stream. So we were on a hardstanding pitch, not an issue but not what we thought we had booked. Staff were friendly enough and the place was very clean. Showers of the push button kind, but hot water was readily available, such a treat. Shop did not appear to be open the whole time of our stay, bit of a shame. The dog walking which was pictured was very wet and muddy, which can't be helped, but really very slippery. It was also on quite a steep incline, which was not shown or mentioned. This would have been nice to know, as I suffer from arthritis and hill walking is difficult. Quite a lot of road noise, particularly early morning, 05:00am to 06:00pm, but the convenience of access to get to other places is a plus point.

Hi Debra, Thankyou for your feedback, as we mentioned prior to your arrival, we moved your booking to the hard standing pitch because you were in a motorhome and not the small tent that is stated on the booking. We felt that this was the much better option for yourselves due to the recent heavy rain we had experienced prior and during your arrival Best wishes, Willow Valley

Lovely secluded site

Amazing gem of a campsite quiet and pretty with great facilities and friendly staff. Really enjoyed our stay.

Tranquil Break

Great to meet the new owners on their first day. They are enthusiastic and keen to keep up the great work from the previous owners. Well-kept site with a number of facilities. Fantastic location for Bude and the north Devon/Cornwall coast or passing through on the A39. Good luck with your new venture. See you again soon

Lovely site

Great location. Excellent amenities. Staff do a great job at making your stay a relaxing one. We had a lovely week at Willow Valley. Had a lovely warm welcome, and we were impressed with our accommodation. The site has everything you need for a comfortable stay and is clean and tidy throughout. It is a great location for exploring North Cornwall and is only a couple of miles from Bude town centre and beaches.

Excellent stay

Stopped for a week. No issues whatsoever. Staff were attentive, polite and chatty - always happy to help. We stopped in the Yellow Bus and it was comfy and quirky. Showers and toilets were spotless. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay.

Lovely site

Lovely site, flat and large pitch. However, we were near the small stream with lots of midges in the evenings. We were pitched behind the shepherds hut and quite often were hit with the dreadful smell of the toilet septic tank. The showers were lovely and hot and free, which is a bonus, but could do with a good grouting clean and new racks for shampoo and bits. The loo roll holders are terrible and must make so much work for the cleaner because you have to fight to get the paper out which then turns to confetti. Could also do with hairdryers in the loos. Pizza horsebox twice a week, very nice chap and good pizzas. He actually told us it's now new owners, so hopefully they will address these little things and the place will be fabulous. In general, a lovely, quiet site, even though there's kids play area in the middle. Easy access and good for beaches and shops. Thank you.

Glamping stay in Bell tent

Lovely quiet, clean site and good value for money. We stayed in a Bell tent in a pretty country setting which felt private with its own large decking area. Only a short drive to Bude and larger supermarkets. Would definitely stay again.

Really lovely site

A quick call to stay overnight sorted us out. We had a lovely time. Showers were brilliant and hot, the site was beautiful.

Very nice and clean

Lovely park, nice and quiet. Lovely pitch would have liked to stay longer. All amenities were very clean and close by. Everything we needed. Lovely and peaceful. Will definitely be back!!

Wonderful place and wonderful people

Accommodating, helpful and kind. The bus glamping was great. Great facilities, well thought of. Wood for warming. Chris and Jen were kind enough to also allow us access to one of the lodges which greatly helped with the kids.

Booked online the night before and arrived a little later than thought. Chris greeted us and showed us our pitch and helped me get the van connected. Very friendly and helpful. Showers and toilets were immaculate. Highly recommend staying here.

Great place

Yes, I would recommend it. Stopped before. Clean and tidy. Only a few minutes drive to beaches. It has other forms of accommodation, but we stayed in our van with an electric hook-up. It has a playground and is great for families.

Beautiful, secluded area

Beautiful, secluded area. There is road noise from traffic, but nothing serious. Site itself is well laid out. Signage to get to the site itself needs to be looked into, due to narrow roads and trying to concentrate on traffic. The site was very clean and tidy. Staff very courteous and helpful. Peaceful and quiet. Pitches are excellent. Only issue is signage to get to site. Otherwise, a great place.

Lovely site. Very nice staff and facilities. Great location. Good value for money. Only negative was a bit crammed in and a noisy road that runs very close.
