Peaceful stay with clean facilities

Enjoyed our stay here as it was quiet, friendly and the facilities were clean. Lovely hot shower. Great woodland loop for the dog. Flat, hard standing pitch, perfect for the cold and wet conditions!

Secluded and well situated

Good communication from the team after booking, and take their advice to use their written directions and not your sat nav, which will help avoid the full Cornwall narrow road driving experience (essential if you are towing!) We stayed in December so probably didn't see the site at its best. Facilities are clean, functional and family oriented but perhaps not as high end as other sites. The site itself is very secluded with remote farmland in the immediate surrounding, but is in good striking distance of both north and south coasts, St Ives, The Lizard and Penzance etc. On site there is a games room and an activity area to occupy the family should you not want to travel far. If you are after a good value base to explore the far south west of Cornwall, Polladras should be on your short list.

Peaceful, well presented site

A well kept site, good communication regarding location, travel instruction and pitch information.

Very quiet

A lovely quiet sit, a lovely pub (5 minutes drive) called 'The Queens'. Really nice food, were made to feel very welcome and dog friendly.

Lovely clean site

Lovely site. Facilities were very clean was a little noisy until very late for a family friendly site.

A great little site with great facilities away from the hustle and bustle of Cornwall.

Great stay!

We really loved our stay, had a great pitch, facilities were super clean (staff work really hard) and our kids loved the trampoline and playground. Such a good location for exploring the area. We will definitely be back next year.

Great camp site

Fabulous, small, quiet and spotless. I'm not one for camping at all! I don't know how I was persuaded to do it but I have to say, camping here was a super experience. John and his wife (cannot recall her name) work so hard to keep the camp site spotless and peaceful. I would have preferred to have been within walking distance of a shop but that's me (I'm a townie!). The camp site itself could be better signposted but we found it, it really is in the countryside and in an area where you will lose your phone signal. Saw a number of children playing on the play ground and in the arcade (very tastefully done) but this is a small camp. If you're looking for something more than peace and quiet, try a well known holiday camp site type. We'd forgotten our electric lead and we were loaned one (thank you!) and we were not charged for our fire bucket. Fabulous camp site owners; very friendly and approachable.

Very happy with the camp ground. Clean, easy to access amenities. Very helpful staff. We would stay again.

Cornish Long Weekend

Slap bang in the middle of nowhere. Dark, quiet and no neighbours. We loved it. Ok, the pitches are compact but we didn't use our awning so it was fine. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Beautiful peaceful site

Just a lovely and peaceful site. It is well set out and the facilities were so clean and lovely. My dogs loved it too for the dog walk. My son & his family lives in Helston so this site is ideally situated. I'll be staying again.

Great site with fab facilities

We enjoyed our pitch, great for kids and the facilities were all clean and well kept! Will definitely use again.

Great site

Great site, really quiet and well maintained. The only thing to improve it would be another grey and chemical disposal point so the walk is not too far from the other end of the site.

Well presented park

We had a lovely stay at Polladras. We stayed 4 nights and it is a well-kept park. All facilities were clean and tidy. Very safe for kids. Lovely herb garden (what a good idea!) and lovely pitches. The only comment I would make is that it would be good to have another chemical loo and grey water place on the other side of camp near pitches 7, 8, 9. It is gravel so quite hard to pull waste water to empty but it is only a suggestion. Other than that, it was great. We had really good directions and it was very nice.

Excellent

Fantastic area, the site is clean and all facilities are clean and easily accessible. Staff went the extra mile to ensure we were catered to and looked after. Would recommend and definitely will be back.

Campsite was okay

Campsite is cheap and clean, but the spaces between each tent were too close together, which didn't give much privacy.

Fantastic

Very clean shower & toilet blocks. Site is beautiful. Laid out really well with plenty of space. Games room, mini football pitch & big trampoline. Really nice campsite, would recommend highly. So easy & peaceful.

Short break

Lovely site, very quiet. We had to take a tent as we had issues with our caravan so we had a grass pitch instead of a hard standing. The showers I felt were too small and I didn't like the shower curtains as they stuck to you when showering. Excellent facilities, great paddock for the dog to run. Very quiet, we slept well. Little bit too far from the coast for us but I knew that before I booked. I would recommend as it was so clean and peaceful.

Very friendly people. Good size pitch. Should have stayed one more night. Will go back with family.

Nice site with tricky access

A nice little campsite, tucked well away. Access was not too good though for our motorhome. The hedgerows were very overgrown, but unfortunately it is a sign of the times these days, speaking to the owner, he has found it difficult to get this issue addressed but is trying to get something done. The site was very good and well cared for, good facilities with ongoing work for the future. We picked this location to be near friends at Praa Sands, but good for Penzance and Falmouth.

Lovely and clean

Lovely and clean. Cold drinks machine ran out but they hire it so not their fault. Children's play room was very good - my grandson enjoyed it and it was just the two of us. Football nets brill and little nature walks good. Little food van only there Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, not Sundays. There is a pizza van on Sundays but I didn't realise so missed it! Pitches a good size. For people who don't go off the pitch and to save bringing so much food, they could do with a little shop for odds and ends (bread, milk, coffee, sugar etc). I will be going again. Thank you. .

The cleanest campsite I've ever been to

We booked a last minute trip for the weekend. By accident I chose a field with no electricity, but after our arrival it was resolved very quickly. It is the cleanest campsite we have been to and the owners are very friendly. Highly recommended.
