Camping Pod - Camping Pod (Dog Friendly) Jul 2025 We had a really lovely stay at this very clean, friendly and well equipt campsite. The cabin was really cute and cozy!

Large Tent - Medium Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 Our second time staying at this beautiful site.
A beautiful location, fantastic scenery, wildlife and lots of peace and quiet. This really is a gem of a site one which we will be visiting every year. Bruce and Sandy, the wardens, are just the loveliest of people and great at their job.
They can't do enough for you and just want to make sure you have the best stay possible. My husband forgot his coat so Bruce kindly lent him one for the week. They go above and beyond always, such lovely people. We have two young children and this site is perfect for them, a nice little walk to see the donkeys, lots of sheep and most importantly lots of grass to run around on.
The facilities are great. Lovely and clean showers and toilets. Washing up facilities with tumble dryer and freezer as well as lots of games to borrow. You can hire BBQ's and fire pits which is a lovely little touch.
We can't recommend this site enough, it's definitely one of our favourites. Book it you won't regret it.
Beautiful location
Camping Pod - Camping Pod (Dog Friendly) May 2025 Me and my 8yr old son stayed here for 1 night on our way back from Edinburgh. The site is very peaceful and it's a stunning location, even in the rain. There are lots of toys and games available for kids to play out on the grass and BBQs and fire pits available, which was handy. The facilities had all we needed and more. The pod was clean and cosy. We had good communication from the site with best roads to take etc. and had a friendly welcome when we arrived. I will recommend this to friends and we will be back.

Nice campsite with stunning views
Roof Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2025 The booking process was nice and easy as we went through the Campsites.co.uk website and the owners communication was excellent.
They emailed and text messaged directions and booking details which we found brilliant. When we arrived, the campsite was easily sign posted and one of the owners came to meet us and direct us to our pitch. We hired the fire pit and bought their wood and kindling bag.
The view itself was spectacular with mountain views. The site was clean and very well kept. We loved the games and bookshelf section that you could borrow and use. They also had an honesty policy for buying smores for a midnight snack, which was ideal.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and was a perfect distance to drive to Scafell Pike for. Would recommend.

The best campsite around
VW-Type Campervan - Small Non Electric Grass Pitch Apr 2025 The best campsite we've stayed on. It is so quiet and peaceful with the most incredible scenery. It isn't too big so feels really personal. We loved it so much, we booked an extra 2 nights.
The owners and couple who look after it are lovely. Facilities are super clean and really top quality.
We will absolutely return (again!)
2 night stay in November
Camping Pod - Camping Pod (Dog Friendly) Nov 2024 This is the second time we have used this pod. We used it this time, as last year, for a visit to Workington on the Saturday. It is also situated quite close to Ravenglass and we paid a visit to the railway on our way home.
The facilities on site are excellent and very clean. It is quite a small pod, so two or three nights is probably enough, but we were very comfortable and warm. I was with my brother, who is almost seventy, (we had been to a football match when our local team were playing Workington) and he found the high step to get in and out of the pod a bit difficult. He did manage though and we enjoyed our stay.
The who stayed section does not really cover us, so I have gone for the nearest, as I cannot post the review without it.
A Hidden Gem
Single Axle Caravan - Medium Electric Grass Pitches Oct 2024 The campsite was very clean, well kept and had the most amazing views. The site wardens, Bruce and Sandy were absolute angels, they were very accommodating and effective communicators.
We're most definitely visiting again before the end of the year. A nice little getaway from the hustle and bustle of the West Midlands.

We were very unfortunate with the weather, arriving just before a storm. The hosts were thoughtful and offered us a less exposed pitch, which we were very grateful for.
