Clear filters Wow fantastic find
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Hardstanding Campervan Pitches Jun 2024 Wow! Fantastic site. Everybody catered for. Was such a nice suprise as we had just spent 10 days touring Scotland and really needed a pick me up. My only funny critisism was the eco toilets were so high and I am only 5ft 4in 🤣. Would recommend to everyone.

One of the best campsites we've stayed in
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Hardstanding Campervan Pitch (Optional Electric) May 2024 We booked last minute and were so pleased we did. We've travelled a lot in our van around Europe and Scandinavia, but this was one of the best sites we've come across. We were especially impressed with the environmental ethos, the quality of the facilities - carefully maintained, high end compost loos, fantastic hot, high pressure showers and that view.
Looking forward to return visit on the way up to the Highlands in a few months.

Fantastic site and facilities
Extra Large Tent - Non Electric Extra Large Grass Tent Pitches May 2024 Magnus' site was truly wonderful. Beautiful location and possibly the nicest facilities I've ever had at a site. Toilets, showers and kitchen were immaculate constantly. Lots of choice for pitching and a very peaceful sleep.
Lovely for families and pets. Highly recommend, we will be back!

Great campsite
Medium Tent - Non Electric Extra Large Grass Tent Pitches May 2024 We loved this campsite. It was great to have a fire pit, facilities were kept clean and the showers were lovely. I loved that cars were kept in the car park and not near tents. Xx

Great first stay - definitely will return
Medium Tent - Non Electric Extra Large Grass Tent Pitches May 2024 From our first moment on the campsite, we were warmly welcomed, advised to grab a wheelbarrow and then shown around the campsite. We were given great tips and trip ideas to get the maximum out of our visit. The facilities were great and well kept. They had everything we could need, and evidenced everything they do for charity too. An all around great campsite that we will be back to visit for an extended trip.

Lovely campsite
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Hardstanding Campervan Pitch (Optional Electric) May 2024 This campsite was lovely and relaxed, the facilities were great, very clean and had everything you could need. Excellent stay, one of the best campsites I have been to, and I have been to a lot! Would highly recommend and will be returning.

Campervan stay
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Hardstanding Campervan Pitches May 2024 Beautiful setting, well organised and clean. Campervan space is limited but adequate. We are normally canvas campers and if camping, could be a trek to unload as car must be in carpark. Fortunately weather was beautiful matching the location.

Lovely facilities
Small Tent - Non Electric Extra Large Grass Tent Pitches Mar 2024 Nicely designed colourful facilities. This made it feel homely and welcoming. Magnus was friendly. The site is nice and quiet at night (apart from the road but that can't be controlled). I slept like a log.
Jaw-droppingly starry sky on the walk back from the pub. Magical!
Local pubs do good food. If you want real character and atmosphere The Fat Lamb is great. The Yorkshire pudding sandwich was delicious!
We hope to return in future!

Our dark skies are fantastic - so glad you had a good view of the stars. The campsite is doing its bit as a 'dark sky friendly' business, so the night sky is very much part of being here. Look forward to seeing you again.

Great views, respectful campers, plenty of space, wonderful showers, hot water, eco friendly and a warm welcome. Ideally placed for walking, peace and handy pubs. Loved the wildlife, including red squirrels.

VW-Type Campervan - Hardstanding Campervan Pitch (Optional Electric) Oct 2023 We stayed here for 2 nights and absolutely loved the campsite. Gorgeous views and lovely walks around the village of Ravenstonedale.
Showers were clean and lovely and hot. Magnus was there to greet us when we arrived and we were able to have a lovely fire in the fire pit provided. We will definitely be back.

Hidden gem!
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Backpacker Pitch Oct 2023 I was going to arrive after 8pm so called ahead and it was no problem. The farm was a little tricky to find in the dark but that's because the outside light was temporarily out of action.
I was met by a lady who showed me to my pitch and pointed out the facilities. I put my tent up quickly and went to bed to get out of the rain. The next morning I went to use the facilities and was amazed at the quality. Compost loos that were clean, hot showers and plenty of washing up spaces, plus a seating area, all in what looks like brand new cabin buildings. There's also a very well maintained and marked out parking area.
I visited during Storm Babet so didn't have the opportunity to explore the local area, but will return in the future for sure. Thank you for a comfortable stay despite the storm

On a technical note, while our rather special loos do save 1000s of gallons of wasted water, they're actually not compost toilets!

Ok site with new facilities Backpacker Tent - Non Electric Grass Backpacker Pitch Sep 2023 Stayed one night on coast to coast. Nice site if a bit functional including the staff. At £18 for one person and a small tent, it was twice the price of other similar facilities. Got a good sleep when the families settled down for the night.

We do give a discount for solo travellers and included in our pitch price is a firepit, hot showers, free ice block freezing, fridge, and phone charging. Perhaps if you don't have a car or need any of those facilities it seems more expensive.

Fantastic campsite
Medium Tent - Large Non Electric Grass Tent Pitch Sep 2023 A lovely campsite with good sized pitches, each with their own fire pit. Plenty of hot showers and toilets all spotlessly clean. We only stayed one night but could have happily stayed for a week.

Great site with lovely views and great facilities
Large Tent - Non Electric Large Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2023 This is our second visit to Low Greenside campsite. Since our last visit, the shower and washing up facilities have been improved, making this a more enjoyable stay. Lovely site with amazing views and a great location for exploring the Lake District. We will definitely stay again and would recommend.

Luxury camping at a bargain price- I will be back!
Medium Tent - Non Electric Extra Large Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2023 Brilliant site with access to main roads if needed. The host is so welcoming. The site is pretty flat with plenty of space to pitch. Good parking. Toilets excellent- very clever design. Showers are hot and plenty of space to change. Great little charging lockers for phones etc- all free. Chest freezer, fridge, books and maps. What more do you need? Oh an individual fire pit- yes that also is included (buy the logs from the host).
Make sure that you try the two local pubs- The hanging kebab is fab in the Kings Head! Make sure you book for the evening- they are very popular- last orders 8pm! The other pub does not serve food on Tue and Wed but open until 10pm. A very nice walk to both.
If you want a base to explore the Lakes- this is great. I will definitely stay again when up this way!

Lovely campsite but noisy
Medium Tent - Non Electric Extra Large Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2023 Would have been a lovely stay, but the group next to us were being very noisy until 2am, so we didn't get much sleep and our dog couldn't settle because of this.

Thank you so much for your 5 stars. We're very pleased you liked the campsite but dismayed to learn you were bothered by noise.
I know it was a Bank Holiday weekend when you stayed but that's not an excuse for noise until that time. We do check for noise after 10:30pm, especially at busy times, but it seems we missed this.
If ever you should be disturbed by noise here, please let us know. You can ring us at any time and we'll ask the person nicely to keep it down. Thank you for not marking us down on this occasion.

Camping at Low Greenside
Medium Tent - Non Electric Extra Large Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2023 We stayed at Low Greenside Farm for 3 nights. The facilities were exceptional and we had no troubles during our stay.
