VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jul 2025 First time visiting this lovely site and definitely won’t be our last. Paul was so helpful from the moment of booking by sending us a confirmation email and directions on how to get there and lots of great information about the site.
The toilets and shower’s were absolutely beautiful and spotless. Location quiet with a great pub 5 mins away and great size pitches.
We had really enjoyed our mini break away here. We will definitely be booking again.
Everything you need and more in a beautiful location and the host Paul was super helpful and couldn’t do enough for you to ensure an enjoyable stay. Thanks again Paul we will be back soon to your amazing Little Acres site very soon .

Luxury facilities
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jul 2025 Really nice facilities, luxury toilets and showers (however you need 20ps for the showers), next to the canal and across the road from a lovely pub.
The woman who showed us our pitch was really lovely and welcoming!

Amazing campsite
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jun 2025 Lovely campsite.
Owners were extremely helpful and accommodating. Campsite was quite and well maintained, with a new shower block, even though you pay 20p for shower it was worth it and 3 mins is enough.
Lovely pub within 2 mins walking, please make sure you book as it's very popular. Campsite give you the phone number when you book.
All in all will defo go back, thank you for a lovely stay.

Nice modern toilet shower block. A mirror in all the toilet cubicles would be a good idea.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jun 2025 We returned here travelling back South from having been in Keswick.
A super little site and would highly recommend it as a base to explore the southern end of the lakes.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jun 2025 Lovely site, small and quiet. Right next to M6. Fab walk across the road, along the toll path. Would of liked to have explored more. Best toilets and shower ever!

Fantastic! Simply fantastic.
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jun 2025 Without a doubt the cleanest site with beautiful clean facilities. Paul was super friendly and welcoming.
The Crooklands pub 2 mins walk is also a lovely establishment. Close drive to Kirkby Longsdale and 30 from the south lakes.
We will definitely stay again soon.

Little Gem
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jun 2025 We were diving with friends at Capenwray and stayed overnight. Excellent site with hotel standard facilities.
The Camping field isn't flat but it's obvious to see why this site consistently scores high and picks up awards.
I would happily recommend to friends and stay again in the future.

Medium Tent - Electric Grass Tent Pitches May 2025 Brilliant and friendly site. The communal areas are clean, tidy and fresh at all times and had some great added extras in the toilet blocks such as plasters, wipes and cotton balls.
The staff were helpful and polite and it's located close to local shops, food places and lots of fab walks.
Will definitely be returning again :)

Perfect little campsite
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Tent Pitches May 2025 Pretty little campsite. Only stayed one night, but wished we had stayed longer. The shower rooms were the best we have seen with added luxuries.
Lovely walks just outside the gate. Tidy pitches and a friendly, helpful host.
Will stay longer next time.

Great campsite
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches May 2025 We stayed with a VW-type campervan and a large tent, was put together and friends joined with a motorhome. Small site and well laid out. Facilities were clean and tidy. Everything was easy to use and the chap on site was lovely!

Perfect Getaway
May 2025 Amazing site with really high quality facilities. Paul came to introduce himself and made us feel very welcome. The shower and facilities are hotel quality and the site is quiet and in a great location for South Lakes. We loved the walks by the canal nearby with our dogs and this will be our only stopover for South Lakes from now on. Thanks Paul!

Great campsite
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches May 2025 Have stayed at this campsite before and love location ie. canal walk for dogs just across road and hotel for eating out also just across road.
Paul is very friendly and works hard keeping site well maintained. There are 2 shower blocks, one with lovely modern individual toilets and showers (if you like this) with shampoo, conditioner and body wash which is a nice touch, and one with same products but older.
Not a negative, but maybe worth a note, as I'm claustrophobic I am unable to use the totally enclosed toilets - thankfully, can use the older toilet block facilities which is your more traditional campsite layout. Also, don't like how the windows are all locked and you can't open them.
Other than these personal issues, I would not hesitate to recommend this lovely, little site.

Thank you for staying with us again recently. I can appreciate how difficult things are if you suffer from claustrophobia, but thankfully the other shower and loo block worked for you.
The reason that the windows are locked on trickle vent is that the shower block has thermostatically controlled underfloor heating and humidity controlled extractor fans. If the windows / doors are kept open, neither will work properly.
