Clear filters Easter trip
Twin Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2025 Fantastic shower and washroom facilities available, staff were welcoming. Crooklands restaurant and pub was lovely and just a few mins walk away. Lovely stay!

Lovely little site
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2025 Lovely, small site with new facilities which are of the highest standard and the old block is kept impeccably clean too.
Only stayed one night on route to ferry but would not hesitate to go back. Dog friendly and popular pub very close too.

Excellent stay at a well kept park
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2025 Booking the site was simple, the location is excellent being between the Lakes and Dales.
The hotel/restaurant across the road is a very short walk away and does great food. Paul, the site manager, was very helpful and keeps a well equipped park spotlessly clean; well done!

Toilet and shower facilities second to none!
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2025 We will definitely come back here. What a pretty little site. Great size pitch, well laid out, across the road to a pub with fantastic food. Lovely greeting from the man who checked us in.
But the best bit was the showers and toilets, rainfall showers - since when did they form part of a camping weekend? First class!

The only flaw is that it is close to a slightly busy road.

Spotless and friendly
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2025 Excellent service and spotless amenities. Very friendly with free WIFI included and a local pub nearby. Will definitely be returning soon.

Fantastic campsite
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Small Pitch Apr 2025 This gem of a campsite is a must, facilities are very, very clean.
Check in on arrival is so easy and you receive an email with all details needed. I am that impressed with this campsite that I have already booked another stay.

Lovely small canalside campsite
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2025 Lovely campsite with very friendly owner who keeps the site immaculate.
Access to the canal towpath was just outside the sites gates allowing for easy pretty walks. Another bonus is the site is just off the motorway. Will definitely return should we be in the area again

Peaceful, relaxing stay
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2025 Lovely little site, ideal for a 2-3 night stay to visit surrounding area.
Adjacent to a canal path for walking or cycling with lovely scenery. Spotlessly clean toilets/showers.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Mar 2025 It's was our first time in our Motorhome and we were made very welcome, everything was explained professionally. The campsite is beautiful and very very clean.
We are definitely going back in the near future.

Lovely relaxing stay
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Mar 2025 Paul is a super host and runs an immaculate site.
My stay was peaceful, and the shower and toilet blocks were kept absolutely pristine. I commented on how pleasant the essential oil diffusers were and Paul kindly responded to my request and sent me details of the oil.
Paul is sensitive with his guests and strikes a perfect balance between being attentive and friendly, whilst respecting his guests privacy. The local canal is nice for walks and the nearby Crooklands hotel is perfect for food and drinks but do book as it is very popular. Care is needed if you walk to the hotel as the roads are quite busy at times.

Lovely Little Acre
Twin Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Mar 2025 Great little site, stayed for 2 nights with the family.
Lovely canal walks on the doorstep. Site all clean and tidy, well looked after. Owners friendly and welcoming. Excellent new shower block which was immaculately clean, with shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided. Hairdryer and nice touches like cotton buds, and mini emery boards in the ladies.

Fabulous little find
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Mar 2025 Absolutely great site. Just off M6, so great for stopping off. We only stayed one night, but it's definitely a place you could enjoy for longer. Great to see sites of this quality allowing single night stays, it brings them repeat customers they otherwise would not have had.
Lovely pub opposite the site and beautiful canal walks right from the door. Very friendly owners. Quiet site with lovely views and large pitches.

Fantastic
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Mar 2025 This really is a first class campsite.
Took out small caravan for a two night break on recommendation from a friend. We couldn't have asked for more. 2 minutes off the motorway. 10 minutes to Kirkby Lonsdale and a pub across the road serving a great breakfast and fantastic meals.
The site is impeccably clean. The toilet and shower block must be brand new because it's immaculate and is high quality. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and hand wash all provided. 20p for the shower for 3 minutes and it's a great drench shower as well.
Can't fault this site, well be back as soon as we can.

Small but perfectly formed
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Mar 2025 Our first visit to this site, booked last minute to take advantage of the weather.
Quite a small site with just over 30 pitches. The site is immaculate. The hard standings are very clean and the grassed areas are well kept. There was one service block open which was mixed.
The standard of the showers and toilets are the best that we have encountered. Very nice location around 5 minutes from M6 motorway. Adjacent to the Lancaster Canal which had an excellent path for walking. The very popular Crooklands Pub/Hotel/ Restaurant is literally 3 minutes walk from the site.
Excellent Wi-Fi. Very dog friendly.

I'm glad that you enjoyed your stroll along the Lancaster Canal towpath - during the Winter, the Towpath has been improved enormously and we now have a flat, hard packed (I think that scrap slate was used) path for people & pooches to enjoy that runs for approx 5mm in either direction from our main entrance.

Convenient location
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Mar 2025 Owner met upon arrival friendly as explained where things were. It's a small site and very well kept. Perfect location to M6 and we just needed somewhere for one night to break our journey up.
My only bigger is there being no washing up sinks. This could be attached to the amenity wall outside and have a canopy over. Something we see a lot abroad.
The canal is across the road and great for walking the dog in our case.

The good news is that we do have a washing up area (with laundry facilities as well), in the other amenity block, which is very popular this time of year as the underfloor heating keeps it comfortably warm all the time. Hopefully I'll be able to host you again and I'll show you where it is.
