Very lovely stay. Big plots and nice to have own water tap. The toilets and showers were spotless and the reception and shop was a bonus, would recommend.

A nice site

A nice site, but a bit far from the lakes. Very very busy area with little parking, but still enjoyed it.

Park Cliffe is in the Lake District National Park set in the fells above lake Windermere, with great views, and just a few miles by road from the village of Bowness-on-Windermere. We allocate parking spaces to each pitch or accommodation unit on our site, and we have a visitors car park too, so you shouldn't have struggled for parking with us. You might mean the Lake District area overall, which can be busy at this time of year, but our team are always happy to suggest quieter, less well known spots too.

We loved our stay!

We had a fantastic stay at Park Cliffe Camping and Caravan Site! The arrival instructions in the confirmation email were really helpful, especially as the entrance can be a little tricky for larger vehicles. We were greeted warmly on arrival and shown straight to our pitch, which was a lovely touch. The facilities were excellent - the toilets and showers were spotless and cleaned periodically, and the bar staff were very friendly. There was a good breakfast selection and some lovely family-friendly entertainment in the evenings, which added to the relaxed, community feel of the place. The location is perfect for hikers, with plenty of scenic routes nearby. Just a tip - if you head down to the lake side (fell foot park or down to Bowness), it's best to get the bus or a taxi back as the road is quite narrow with little space for pedestrians. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Park Cliffe to anyone visiting the area. We'll definitely be returning!

Breathtaking

An ideal location, a 5 minute drive to Bowness but also a peaceful and stunning site, with wonderful views. A nice little bar with a shop for bits and pieces, clean toilet and shower block, will definitely be back.

We didn't want to leave

It was my first independent camping trip, and this was the perfect location. Classic camping facilities that were constantly cleaned and well maintained. Beautiful views all day and into the evening. Onsite pub, shop and food stalls. There was WIFI that stretched to the tent and worked well. The perfect spot, and we wished we'd stayed longer.

Perfect few nights spent here

We were just passing through, so only had the chance to spend a couple of nights here. The site, showers and toilets were lovely and clean with nice warm showers. When we arrived, in torrential rain, the electric wasn't working on our pitch, but the lady on reception came straight out to sort it for us and there no further issues. The staff were all very kind, polite and friendly. We found time to climb the hill behind the site, which was fun and gave us a magnificent view over Lake Windermere and the hills around. Such a shame it was a 9hr journey from home or I can see we would definitely use this site again. 10/10.

Great site to stay

Super site

Beautiful, picturesque site, great walks and facilities were top quality. Food catered for on site and a welcoming, friendly pub. Staff were exceptional to. I think this site would benefit from a doggy wash station, it was all that was missing for me.

Pod life

I booked a 2 person shepherds pod to myself while I was over running the Lap race around Windermere. Loved my little home. Not sure I would have had the energy to take a tent down if I'd camped. But like the instructions said, bring everything as if you were camping - helpful. Really close to drinking water tap, good parking, friendly and helpful welcome, and the showers were grand even at 11pm. Great facilities that I could see but I didn't have much spare time to enjoy them. Thanks.

Fabulous campsite

This was my first experience camping. I came across Park Cliffe on the internet and it had great reviews. I wasn't disappointed. It felt idyllic, gorgeous location, great facilities and incredibly well run. It felt safe and friendly, kind staff. I would 100% recommend it!

Beautiful surrounding and great facilities

Warm welcoming, great facilities and lots of green grass and even a stream. The facilities are clean and there are plenty of showers and wc cells/cubes as well as positions for washing ones dishes. It's quiet and relaxing.

Lovely setting and great facilities

We really enjoyed our stay, the on-site cafe was a bonus, we got some delicious wraps from the on-site van and ate them next to the delightful stream. The various kids were have a fantastic time playing in it, creating a lovely relaxed family friendly atmosphere! The facilities were super clean and plentiful. We enjoyed a beautiful swim in Lake Windermere, just a short distance from the campsite. The staff were super helpful - even lending me a screwdriver, which I unexpectedly needed.

Very friendly

There are a couple of beautiful hikes that level from the campsite. Very friendly staff, clean facilities, good catering, convenient little shop.

Highly recommend

As a family with a small child, we had a great stay at the Park Cliffe campsite. The staff members were friendly and helpful. All the amenities were kept nice and clean. We would definitely stay again.

Great site

I stayed there by myself and had a great time, the site itself is well spaced and has a lot of privacy for campers. The facilities are clean and the staff are helpful. Would definitely stay again!

Great location

Great location and beautiful campsite. The pitches are an excellent size. Water tap at the pitch. Everything is spotless. Very clean and immaculate. Highly recommend staying here. Will definitely book again. We took our small dog. Nice walks. Short drive to Bowness.

An amazing experience

This site was so stunning that it left me speechless. The views were beautiful, the pods which we stayed in were clean and great! The toilets and showers were very clean. Everything was perfect. We will definitely be coming back and recommend to others!
