Perfect site for our needs

Lovely site. Owner was very welcoming and informative. Clean facilities and pitches are well maintained.

Coronation weekend

Nice site, peace and quiet and there was enough room for the kids to play. Good facilities and would stay again.

Quiet and peaceful site

Tucked away in the Peak District, this site is very quiet. Wake up to the birds tweeting in the morning! Gravel hardstanding pitches with grass area for the awnings. The serviced pitches have water on the pitch, albeit quite a distance from the actual pitch (they are along the hedge row behind the pitches). The pitches are not level so you will need some kind of ramp to level your van. Facilities are basic but ok, could do with a bit of an overall spruce up but they serve a purpose.

Nice place but crucial facilities missing

Nice place, clean and with friendly staff but we booked to make use of the advertised safe dog exercise area and there wasn't one. We recently adopted a rescue dog, so this was the reason we booked this site. Mentioned to the staff member when we left a day early and hoped we would be offered a refund for the second day (left at 10am), but none offered. Disappointing.

Very good and recommended for everyone

We stayed here two days and found the location is good, just 15 mins to Morrisons so can replace anything in case you needed. The facilities are good, the toilet and shower are clean, and the staff are super nice. I like the environment very much especially since our kids can fish here. Will visit again definitely.

Perfect first time camping!

Fantastic location. Washing up area, toilets and showers were clean and warm. Staff on site very friendly and helpful.

Fantastic

We had a lovely stay here, we went to Alton Towers and Alton Towers waterpark for our daughter's Birthday. The campsite had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable and had a little shop, which had everything we needed. There was also a pond with friendly geese walking around. Overall, really enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Beautiful site

Nice quiet spot also a great place to get in touch with nature. Plenty of places to go walking, nice to also sit around the lake. Owners are very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely return.

Fantastic park

Absolutely fantastic site, all staff members were helpful and friendly- nothing was too much trouble Kids loved the site. It was quiet and private- will definitely be returning.

Good value for money

Stayed for 4 nights. It was a shame about the poor weather however the campsite was decent value for money and was suitable for 3 friends looking to do something for a week.

Lovely, quiet campsite

I was looking for a site that we could go for only one night to get back into camping and see what the kids thought. This site did not disappoint. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The facilities were nice and clean. The site was in a lovely location and close to many pubs and many beautiful places to visit in Derbyshire

Blackbrook Lodge

Good site, welcoming managers, perfect for what we wanted. Let down slightly by tired facilities and not quite as much care given to checking the facilities over as often as is needed. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and shouldn't put anyone off, just need to up the game and site would be a fantastic site.

Lovely stay

Lovely campsite, well situated for walking in the Peak District. Only downside is that there is a farm with multiple dogs who barked most of the first night. That's no fault of the campsite and out of their control though and we would stay again on this site.

Great campsite

Great campsite. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Owners and staff extremely friendly and happy to help. Only thing I'd love to see improved is the dog field. I was delighted when they explained they have a field for dogs as not many places facilitate this and our pup is very anxious around people and so this was a great opportunity to let him run free... it just wasn't as secure as it could be with the fencing and gate. Apart from that little detail, great place, clean and tidy, fire pits for hire which was great. Would recommend. Thank you.
