Clear filters Fantastic site VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Campervan Pitches Apr 2023 A really lovely site with great views. The staff onsite were really friendly and helpful (even reopening the shop so we could get a bag of logs after we missed closing one night). The facilities were clean and well looked after. A great spot for good walks and pubs. We'll definitely be going back.
Nice campsite
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Apr 2023 Fantastic location. We went everywhere on foot. Perfect for joining the Monsal trail. The Anglers Rest pub was an amazing find, short walk.
Had an issue with the access onto the higher ground campsite after torrential rain and the amount of mud on the track up. Wasn't an issue for us as we walked everywhere from site. A lot of campervans got stuck and struggled to get off their pitch or back up in vehicles. Again, this was due to the sheer amount of rain. The owner helped tow them out in his tractor.
Clean campsite, well organised. Did the job! We camped in a tent with beautiful views. The café on site was useful with lovely breakfasts. Facilities were clean and maintained well.
We walked across the road down through the YHA and followed the track down to the river. Head right for the Anglers Rest pub or straight over the little bridge and up to join to the Monsal trail. Will definitely stay again. Being up high was perfect for our large breed dog as there was a nice breeze, which I'm hoping will make it suitable in the warmer summer months. Very dog friendly.
Great views and facilities
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Apr 2023 Great site with glorious views down the Dale. Perfect for cycling the Monsal Trail and walking distance to the river and pub.
The facilities are top notch with an onsite shop, bar, café and even a chocolate shop! The showers are without doubt the best showers I've ever used on a site! Would definitely recommend to families and friends.

Fantastic site with super clean facilities and cafe
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Apr 2023 We were met with a very warm welcome and the location was spot on, with some excellent trails around for running.
We hired bikes from the local hire place and cycled along the Monsal Trail (old Midlands railway), which was a short drive away. On the rainy day we also visited Bakewell, again a very short and beautiful drive.
The facilities at the site were very clean, with hot water, washing up liquid and soap and excellent showers.
Lovely campsite with a view

There are no set pitches, which I can imagine can be a problem in busier periods, but it made it peaceful and spacious.

Bit too cramped together Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Apr 2023 Would be nice on a quiet weekend but overbooked on Easter in my opinion.
Facilities were so far away from the campsite and I feel like they overbooked. Everyone was packed in and I felt that there wasn't enough space in between each pitch. You pick your own pitch, which is nice, but I felt awful for people arriving late having to sandwich in between other campers. Wouldn't mind if it was a cheap and cheerful site but it's the same price as other sites we've been to with much better facilities and much more space between pitches.
Facilities were clean however.
Was also pretty loud at night with big groups of people which is supposedly not allowed - we personally didn't mind that but I wouldn't have liked it if I had small kids.
Noisy site Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Apr 2023 Super noisy. Loud music until 4am from other campers. However, facilities and staff were satisfactory.
Great place in the middle of Peak District

Lots of walks in the area, but close enough to a local shop. The on site food was fantastic and the staff were so lovely.
Pleasant stay
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Oct 2022 Enjoyable stay although would recommend the chickens are kept away from making a mess in the washing up sinks. Showers good and toilet facilities ok. Facilities could become crowded during peak times. All in all, a pleasant stay.
A hidden gem
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Campervan Pitches Oct 2022 Lovely friendly staff. Relaxed ambiance without the endless rules and constraints. Fabulous cooked food for supper and breakfast. Brilliant location for walking. Plenty of hot water.
Be aware that this is a working farm and all the better for it. Rustic and easy.

Nice weekend stay
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Campervan Pitches Oct 2022 Basic but nice campsite in a good location. Toilets, showers etc all fine and clean, plus plenty of fresh water taps. The real star is the Cow Shed shop/cafe/restaurant. A real surprise and the main reason I'd want to come back again and again. We were there Saturday evening for their steak night with BYO drinks. The perfect camping dinner option. There is even fast Wi-Fi there. Thanks and see you again soon!
Brilliant campsite!
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Sep 2022 There is so much to be said about this campsite. Some of the best showers we've experienced at a campsite, the restaurant and farm shop were brilliant and the site is in a really great location. Beautiful views all round and close to loads of hikes off AllTrails. Really brilliant, we are planning another trip soon! Highly recommend.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Sep 2022 Had a really good stay at Beltonville Farm. Great facilities and an excellent farm shop that does a fairly priced decent breakfast. Will definitely be coming back.

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Sep 2022 Stayed here for two nights. Fantastic location for exploring The Peak, very friendly and helpful staff, loved the chickens walking around. Didn't try anything food from the cafe, but plenty people seemed to be; and I was glad it was there for a backup/second breakfast option. I'll stay again!
Lovely location
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Sep 2022 Lovely location. I was there in September and there were only four other units on site, so was very quiet. Walking distance to the Monsal Trail, easy cycling distance also to Monsal but also High Peak and Tissington Trails, albeit with some stiff climbing. Facilities were very good - nice showers.

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Sep 2022 We really enjoyed our stay at Beltonville Farm. Facilities were better than expected, given that it was advertised as 'back-to-basics', so very happy about that. The location was good, but had to walk down the main road to get to most places, so recommend driving. Thanks for having us!
