Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 Shower, toilet and wash room is amazing. Has amazing views. Can buy fire stuff there and everyone's friendly! Pub is local and so is morrisons if needed
Relaxing weekend
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 Came for a weekend away with my partner, enjoyed staying here and will come back again. My partner was very happy with the portaloos.
The only issues were due to being very busy on Sunday morning, you had to queue to use the showers. Feel there could be more as the queue was long, so I gave up.

The campsite also had 2 free showers which were well received and functional.
The negatives - 2 unisex toilets for entire campsite! Queues each time we went. Our first night we had a group of 15 teenagers drinking and listening to music until 1am.
Really nice location
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 It was nice, located about half a mile away from the Devonshire pub which served divine stone baked pizzas, there is a building with 2 toilets and 2 showers and a freezer to put your ice packs in for cooler bags, plenty of plug sockets within there too if you need to give your phone a boost.
Portable BBQs and fire pits are permitted too which is nice, my only nit-pick if any was the lack of electric hook-ups, but that just allows you to be back to basics.
Great campsite
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 Great campsite, beautiful location with clean facilities. It's also a great location for exploring nearby Castleton and Mam Tor.
However, it's close proximity to a working farm, and associated livestock, prevent a five star rating as you will be woken up early!

Great little site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2025 Stayed during half term and it was nice and quiet (until more arrived on the Friday for the weekend), beautiful views.
Pleasantly surprised to find there were a couple of showers despite it being mentioned a few times that there aren't any!

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2025 It was our first ever camping trip and sweet knoll delivered!
The spot is so scenic with views for days, the wonderful farm animals around are lovely (especially the donkeys) and the site itself is pristine!
The location is right in the middle of lots of great spots like Bakewell, Buxton, Mam Tor and Castleton so easy to get to wherever you want to go. In addition the hosts were great for communication, I had a couple of questions with it being our first time and they got back to me in a really timely manner as well as nipping around the site!
Thank you very much, we'll be back again.

Excellent value for money
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 We had a fantastic stay at Sweet Knoll. We arrived on a Saturday, around 12pm, for a one-night stay. The outer edge of both the smaller field and the larger field were almost full of other campers who had already set up, but we managed to squeeze a spot.
On arrival, I rang the number on the gate to tell them we had arrived, they told me to find a space, and met me with the fire pit (which I had hired), which was great!
The campsite is surrounded with the most beautiful views. The site is peaceful and close to many walking routes.
Clean toilets and kitchen facilities. However, there can be a bit of a queue first thing in the morning or last thing at night (only two toilets).
Would I recommend it? 100%. We will definitely return.

Perfect location for walks, for example, loved the mam tor walk as it was only short drive with amazing views.
The campsite was peaceful with friendly helpful staff.

Friendly staff, very helpful with fire pit and logs. Nice clean toilets with kitchen facilities. We will definitely return.
Lovely spacious campsite with amazing views
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 We stayed for one night after climbing Kinder Scout and the location was perfect for us.
The host was as very friendly and helpful. It would have been nice to have a shower but the toilets were very clean.
The campsite itself is very spacious and the surrounding views were beautiful.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 Great views, very reasonably priced, can have fires and a pub and shop down the road, great location clean facilities. Only thing I would like is a shower but for a night or two, all good! Loved it, will be back.
