Loads of pitch space, great clean facilities and friendly staff. The animals around the side are amazing too!

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jun 2025 Stayed for 2 nights. Good you can check-in from 12pm to give you more time on day 1. Way to find and access good. Check-in simple and staff very friendly. Chatty and helpful.
Facilities ok although we mainly used our own. Nice games room. Pitches are sloping so bring levellers. Alpacas in field nearby were lovely. Shop had plenty of things - we bought a replacement calor gas at reasonable price.
Walk into village 5 mins. Took a great walk to the Bronze Age circles and Earl Grey Tower. Lots of nature to explore on doorstep.
There were lots of D of E kids there camping in fields but they were well behaved and respected the rules. Nice to see them working towards their award.
We're a couple with two dogs and love it. Great place for families - lots of space for kids to play.
Would come again.

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Field 1) Jun 2025 I really enjoyed my stay here, it seemed like a busy place with lots of people of all ages and backgrounds. All respectful towards each other.
There was plenty of toilets and showers no queues, and all clean. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Good one for newbies
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Field 1) May 2025 We were in the non electric pitches for tents. The facilities there are good, especially we are newbies in camping. Toilet and washing area are not too far. Plenty of light in the path walking to toilet. It is good for us with young children. Lovely hot shower.
Some peacocks around the site. The tent pitch is on a slope with a bit flat area at the bottom. Surrounding by trees so it is relatively warm at night. Overall, it is a nice campsite.

Medium Tent - Family Playground Field Non Electric Pitches (Field 4) May 2025 We love Barn Farm, this is our 4th visit. The walk to The Nine Ladies is lovely, the kids love the park and the on site shop is very convenient.

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches May 2025 This was our third stay and yet again, we had a lovely time.
The location is wonderful, with fabulous views and direct access onto Stanton Moor. We took our grandchildren again as they love it there. There are plenty of places to run and play and it is very safe.
Easy access to Bakewell and Matlock and we hired bikes again to ride on the Monsal trail. Will definitely return.

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches May 2025 As campsites go, this is one of the best we’ve stayed at. It has most things you’ll need. My only slight criticism would be that some of the touring pitches aren’t quite level, so it takes a bit of fiddling to get the van level, but otherwise, a great site. Our third stay and it won’t be our last.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches May 2025 Love this site, ideal for us as a slightly mature couple, but also perfect for friends and families. Peaceful site but also great to see families enjoying their times.
Excellent facilities and spotlessly clean. Well stocked shop, and good games room, play area and plenty of room for kids.
Just a lovely friendly atmosphere and site. Village pubs within an easy walk from site for drinks and food.

Fantastic site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Field 1) May 2025 My daughter and I absolutely loved our stay at Barn Farm. The facilities were amazing and spotlessly clean and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The camping fields are on a slope but we managed.
The location is great, with lovely walks from the site and two pubs in the beautiful village doing good food. We'll definitely be going back :)

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Field 1) May 2025 This is a great campsite. The facilities are excellent and very clean. Little extras included, such as fridge and freezer, socket to blow airbeds up, that make camping much easier. Staff friendly and helpful. Thank you.

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Field 1) May 2025 They are always accommodating and happy to help. Site was quiet due to the weather. Could do with other things in the shop, but maybe that's in full season. Can't fault it, been going on and off for 15 years always the same level of service.

Medium Tent - Large Overflow Field Pitches (Field 2) May 2025 We have stayed at Barn Farm several times now. The facilities are always clean and well looked after. There are lots of high quality food and drink vans. Excellent bands at night. Lovely walks, great pubs close by. We always have a great time. The teens feel safe and enjoy the arcade and pizza vans. Great for all ages.
A lovely site, but little busy on the bank holiday weekend
Large Tent - Large Overflow Field Pitches (Field 2) May 2025 We stayed for the May bank holiday weekend and it's a lovely campsite. There was food vans on site which was a lovely surprise - we had a pizza one night and I grabbed a cup of tea early on our last morning too, which was nicer than waiting for the kettle to boil. The facilities were good and kept clean. There was some entertainment whilst we were there - a play bus, inflatable slides, face painting and more - our children enjoyed all of these.
It was a little too busy for our liking but we did book for a bank holiday weekend so it's to be expected. It was a bit of a trek from our tent to the toilets, especially for our young children, but I imagine that on a regular week/weekend if is less busy and you could pitch a bit closer to the toilets. The toilets and showers were really busy with Duke of Edinburgh students at times, again they were not any trouble but it was hard for my children to get to the sinks to wash their hands after using the overall.

Large Tent - Family Playground Field Non Electric Pitches (Field 4) May 2025 The site was brilliant. The facilities were great and had lots for the kids. We enjoyed seeing (and hearing) the peacocks and visited the alpacas too. It was a perfect spot to explore Matlock and the surrounding area.
I'd say if you don't like live music at night at the weekends (not sure if it's every weekend or at particular times of the year) then, perhaps not for you, but everything was done and dusted by 10:30pm. We loved it.
