VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Touring Pitches Jul 2025 The campsite was everything we needed for a 1 night break. Flat roomy pitches and quirky amenity blocks.

Lovely site
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 One of the cleanest campsites we have ever visited, and we arrived late in the evening!
Also, lovely to have a room to relax in with sofas and a nice view - so helpful in rainy weather. The view itself is beautiful from anywhere in the site. The owners are responsive and friendly, the leaflets at the gate very helpful. The site is easy to find but in a quiet and peaceful location, surrounded by lush countryside and a short car ride to the surf.
Only warning I would give is, being on top of a hill, it can get very windy. I do recommend to bring some really good camping equipment, our old little tent struggled a bit. Probably best to camp near the roadside if possible as well - which we didn't! None of this is down to the owners, though.
We still had a great time, the area is lovely, and the campsite is fantastic value for money.

Quiet and pleasant rural site
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Touring Pitches Jun 2025 Basic site with friendly hosts. Plenty of space and peaceful.
Our only gripe was that our camping spot was allocated to another camper whilst away for the day. This was despite leaving some of our belongings behind and the allocated pitch number.
Very narrow road down into Combe Martin.

Good value for money Motorhome - Non Electric Grass Touring Pitches May 2025 A basic campsite, but with a wonderful view and well-placed for the Southwest Coastal Path. At £20 per night, we could not complain.
Access was much better than we thought and had little difficulty on the approach roads with our 7.3m motorhome. Most pitches are on a slope.
Bathroom facilities need repairing as hot water was only available in 50% of the showers.

Thank you for your review. We're sorry that one of the boilers failed in the eco shower block. However, I'm not sure if you're aware, but in field 2 there's a second shower and toilet block.
The boiler is being looked at and I sincerely hope it didn't ruin you stay. Hope to see you soon.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Touring Pitches Aug 2024 Only spent 2 nights here but it was very clean and has amazing views.
Shower was hot, owner was really friendly, peaceful and stress free site to explore the North Devon beaches and small towns and villages.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 A simple yet lovely and back to basics camping.
Has a great view of the valley and the sea. Has basic facilities but always kept clean and tidy and actually a campsite with hot showers!
Owners are kind and welcoming and kindly extended the departure time due to bad weather which was appreciated. Would recommend.

Brilliant
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Touring Pitches Aug 2024 Silver View was our kind of campsite with just the basic facilities and no frills. The proprietor was very friendly and helpful and kept the facilities clean. The setting was beautiful.
The only downside for us was that the location was a long walk to the town. We don't like to use the van once we're pitched.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 Just like the photos. Stunning view and a scenic half-hour walk to the village, local pubs and beach. Plenty of space when we were there mid-August so felt quiet and private. Washing up area, toilets and showers kept clean. Charging point and shared freezer helpful. Fire pit with wood was a lovely touch. Special thanks to the team who very kindly secured our tent with extra pegs in a storm while we were out. Would happily recommend.

The staff greeted you and came round occasionally to check everything was okay.

Amazing pop up campsite
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 We have thoroughly enjoyed staying at this basic, friendly site on the edge of Exmoor National Park and on a hillside above Combe Martin. Views to the sea, close to the long distance coastal footpath, fantastic views and run by a lovely friendly family. Lovely clear skies some nights with amazing stars. Can’t wait to return.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 Such a beautiful campsite run by genuinely lovely people who really care about your stay. I only booked for three nights but wished I'd booked for longer!
The site is on a stunning hillside with an incredible view, but make sure your guy ropes are in order, it does get a little windy. The location is ideal for lots of beaches, National trust places and walks.
It's a small site that has all the basics that you need for a comfortable camping trip, but still feels like a very natural site. It's family run and someone is always on hand in the evenings if you're after local tips or need assistance.
I'll definitely be looking to book again later in the summer.

Lovely, quiet site
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 This site is so quiet and peaceful, fantastic views and no road noise. The location is perfect, so close to Combe Martin but so quiet.
Sadly not much in the way of flat ground, but slope was gentle enough to pitch. Frustratingly temperamental showers, four of us stayed for three nights and not one of us had a consistently hot shower, I hate cold showers.
Site manager was very friendly and provided a great info sheet when we arrived.

Perfect Campsite
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2024 A perfect, peaceful and beautiful campsite. If the weather was better we would have stayed longer.
The basic facilities were spotlessly clean, there was plenty of space and the views were lovely.
Will definitely be back.

Nice basic site VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2023 Nice 'back to basics' campsite.
The 2 fields are a little sloping so definitely take levelling ramps in case all the flatter spots are gone! However we loved the 'pick where you pitch' aspect!
Facilities include a converted horse trailer into 2 toilets, 2 showers, 2 outside washing up areas and a urinal area. There was also another converted trailer with some sofas in and access to USB charging points. In the second field, there are compost toilets.
Lots of space for kids to run around and horses in neighbouring field. Fabulous views and quiet country roads nearby to the beach and village of Combe Martin (approx 8-10 mins away) and Ilfracombe (approx 15-20 mins away).
A peaceful, tranquil site where the kids can run around freely.

Beautiful and relaxing
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2023 Lovely and relaxing vibe, beautiful countryside views. Facilities were everything you need, freezer and USB chargers were handy. Being able to hire fire pits and buy wood was a highlight. Would thoroughly recommend if you want a back to basics, informal camping holiday.

Beautiful campsite with friendly owners
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2023 Beautiful campsite with the loveliest owners who looked after us so well!
When we arrived it was very peaceful with only a few tents, and as it got busier towards the end of our stay there was a nice friendly atmosphere.
Showers and toilets were clean and modern and you can rent firepits which was lovely. Washing up station was very convenient. Wonderful view and location, but if you are travelling without a car (by train and taxi like we were!) it is a steep 30 min walk to Combe Martin where the nearest pub, bus stop and shops are.
But it's good exercise, and I would definitely go back!
