Clear filters Lovely woodland site with excellent facilities.
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Jul 2025 We had one night in this peaceful, woodland site. A good mix of sunny and shaded hard standing EHU pitches and charming tent pitches tucked away in the woods with names like Primrose, Bracken and Fern. Shower blocks spotlessly clean with plentiful hot water and well thought out, with space to keep your kit dry while showering and changing. We enjoyed our stay here and have it pinned for a return visit.

Bell Tent - Snowdrop Stargazer Bell Tent Jul 2025 Absolutely beautiful site, the walk around the river is stunning. Great facilities and the staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again.

A great stay
Small Tent - Large Non-Electric Woodland Pitch with Lake View (Primrose) Apr 2025 We received a warm and friendly greeting and everything we needed was there. Wonderful countryside location. Clean and tidy pitch. Although we were in a tent, the spaces for motorhomes were well provided for, there is never too far to go to get water. There are three gender-neutral toilet cubicles in the communal block - showers are in the toilet cubicles and offer a good amount of space and were clean.
The other section of the communal block provides sinks for washing dishes and a communal fridge, selection of books to read, visitor information on places to go and a fun, tree of names on the wall so you can add yours.
It is a family site and children do get excited, the 'quiet time' had long passed before one family near us finally settled down.
All in all, we had a very pleasant stay and I am sure we will be back sometime soon.

Relaxing
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Oct 2024 Kingsmead Centre was a nice site. Had a lovely welcome and was given lots of local info. They have a well stocked shop.
Each pitch had an electric and water hook up, which was great! Good toilet blocks with all the amenities and lovely showers. We had a nice trek around the site.
No WIFI and limited data so recommend buying the WIFI package.
We only stayed one night as we are looking for localish sites for a quick get away, so looking to return soon.

Medium Tent - Small Electric Woodland Pitch (Daisy) Aug 2024 Such a fantastic site, incredibly clean facilities, well spaced pitches, super helpful owners (elec lead (15m) not quite long enough and given an extension) stayed at the Daisy woodland pitch, which was a complete treat. Lovely individual pitch, surprisingly big, and not too far away from the facilities. Would 100% recommend.

Such a clean site lots of handgel, soap, cubicles have showers and wet rooms with toilets and sinks felt like your own bathroom.
Peaceful pitches, spacious and with lots of trees and fire pits available. Perfect site!

Short stay Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Aug 2024 Booked for 3 nights but only stayed for one. A bit tight for larger motorhomes. Peaceful but just not our thing. Down in a hollow so poor or non-existent connectivity.
Some nice tent pitches amongst the woods.
Beautiful place to camp
Large Tent - Non-Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 We stayed at the campsite for 4 nights and it did not disappoint. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted in the reception. Very friendly and happy. We were guided through the map before we set off to put our tent up. They went above and beyond to help us out.
The shower/toilet blocks were spotless every time we went in them, also the washing up area. Well kept grounds and plenty of space. As soon as we were unpacked, we went off to the lake for fishing. We did everyday, such a beautiful place, the woodlands and walk/ playing field and we will definitely be back. The shop on site was very reasonable and we hired a fire pit for our stay.
We had 4 children and they all said it's the best campsite they have stayed at. It's not too far from any direction if you want to explore Devon more. But, it's also very relaxing just to stay there, we will be back.
Great first time camping
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 This was our first time camping and it didn’t disappoint. We had a great 2 night stay at Kingsmead. The facilities were spotless and the campsite was so well maintained. We will definitely be back.

Large Tent - Non-Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 Lovely overnight stay with my sister and two dogs. Found some local walks and places to eat. Very welcoming and had some lovely neighbours willing to help us put up our tent, would definitely recommend.

Made very welcome by Jodie and facilities immaculately clean. Very wet weather, yet pitches terraced and on gravel, so no getting stuck in the mud. Perfect for an early or late season break.
