Clear filters Much needed peace
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Sep 2022 Booked this short break as a much-needed rest away from everything, and it fitted the bill perfectly. A beautiful site in a lovely tranquil setting, clean and tidy and quiet, absolutely lovely. We went along the estuary on Saturday and it is a lovely place to walk or cycle, we cycled and took in some lovely views. Would definitely book again.

As a camper in a tent, my only observation was the lack of a fridge available.
I have found this extremely helpful on many other sites, we can't always guarantee our English weather and the ability to keep some things chilled more efficiently would be beneficial.
Lovely holiday park
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Aug 2022 Hunters lodge is a lovely quiet park with plenty of lovely walks. Close to public transport, really good cycle paths and also close to the railway station. If you want a quiet holiday, this place is perfect.

Medium Tent - Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2022 Excellent stay at the Hunters Lodge camping site. Friendly helpful owner lovely grounds. We had a fantastic stay, great location easy to visit lots of places. Makes a brilliant base. A lot of walks on the doorstep.

Lovely setting
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jul 2022 We got what we were looking for - a site for adults only so that we could have the peace and quiet we were after.
There are some beautiful views and the owners have done their best to make the most of these. Our pitch was nearer the road side of the site so we were able to hear the traffic but it didn't spoil our stay. Great to have the chickens on site, and lots of greenery and flowers by the stream plus the pond with it's wildlife.
We were initially concerned that there is only 1 male and 1 female shower but we didn't have to queue at all. All well maintained.
A little more information to hand at the site regarding local walks and information about the surrounding area would be welcome, though Paul was very helpful when asked about the immediate area. Thanks for a lovely break.
