Excellent site

Can't fault this site in any way. The whole site is very clean and tidy. The toilets and showers were very clean and plenty of hot water. We had a drink in the bar and the prices were on par with pub prices. Didn't try the restaurant so cant comment on food. Only a short walk down the hill to West Bay.

Enjoyed the site as a base

Enjoyed the site as a base but won't book to stay there again Sadly, the site didn't live up to our expectations. There were some lovely views although the walk to the beach was a steep one. We used the pool once which was pleasant. The shop was useful. However the general site wasn't the best at all. The roads are very narrow so make manoeuvring caravans tricky. The pitches feel packed in, and exacerbated as rules weren't enforced regarding pitch sizes, extra tents, where cars fitted etc. the motorhome next to us had a awning and an additional tent awning so took up half the grass as well as the gravel. Kids were scooting and riding bikes with no helmets; again no rules enforced. Kids were unsupervised and due to the narrow roads, we saw a number of near collisions. The bathrooms nearest the little shepherds camping field were old; none of the several showers we tried worked properly. There were a few tiny sinks with soap to wash your hands and then lots of cubicle sinks for privacy but none of them had soap dispensers. The bathrooms at the top were better; showers worked well but again only five for a large touring site. Same issue with lack of sinks for washing hands after using the toilet. Groups were camping together playing music and outside until 10pm and sometimes later every night. It feels like the static homes are the priority and the touring site is left to its own devices. Two washing machines and two dryers for the whole site are not enough and the price for washing is expensive. The dog showers was appreciated but the slope up was broken so we lifted our small dog in. The dog walking field was brilliant but we noted many people simply didn't keep their dogs on a lead on their pitches so dogs just wandered around. We wanted to try a bigger site with more facilities as a family with more facilities but sadly you have to pay extra for an everything. The lack of supervision of children, the narrow roads, the lack of enforcing rules and the focus on making money over customer service was very apparent. We won't be booking here again and will revert to camping and caravan club sites where the level of service and facilities is higher.

Lovely, busy site

We absolutely loved our stay with you! Very easy to access pitches and fantastic access to beach. It is a fairly large, very busy site which we weren't used to, so with two small children, facilities were a little further away than we were previously used to and was a little louder than we've previously experienced, but this didn't affect our stay - just things to consider. The site was well maintained, staff very friendly.

I did not expect to have to pay extra for internet connection or use of the swimming pool!

Outstanding

Beautifully situated on a cliff top between two really nice beaches. Absolutely 100% I cannot fault anything. Showers and toilet spotlessly clean really nice atmosphere. I will be back and soon!

Annual holiday

Very different to our usual sites & much larger but made a pleasant change. We have never not known where our pitch would be & found it difficult to navigate a suitable location without asking the onsite maintenance lady, who was very friendly & helpful on arrival as we required 2 pitches together. Plenty of dog walking areas & a great exercise workout to West Bay or Eype beach. We would go back and would recommend to friends. My only negative is it can feel a little cramped, especially when vehicles do not park as instructed, making manoeuvring of touring caravans difficult.

Clean, friendly and relaxing

Lovely staff, nice level gravel pitches. Everything as it should be. Some excited holidaymakers arrived and made more noise than was welcome by the others, quiet campers but when the staff heard about it a visit was made and it was quieter after that. Lots of wild bunny-watching opportunities which was so nice when they came out to eat. Also only ½ mile coastal path stroll to the delights of West Bay. I'd certainly go back there.

Amazing holiday

Wonderful site. Clean and friendly. Our Gold Pod was beyond amazing. Some nice personal touches. Comfy and clean. Will recommend to friends and we are coming back. In fact, we didn't want to leave. Thank you Highlands End for a lovely week.

Beautiful position

Shame the bar/cafe not open until lunchtime. Lovely pool. Good showers but very slippery on stepping out. Lot of walking done to get to facilities!

Great location and facilities

Great location, really friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic for dog walking with direct access onto the South Coastal Path and plenty of room for our 4 legged friends. Fantastic dog shower as well. Pitches were clean and easy to access with plenty of water points and 16 amp electrics. Definitely be back again.

Superb site - highly recommended

Probably one of the best sites we've stayed at. Beautiful location with nearby walks to beaches and cliffs. Seamless check-in process online and well laid out site. Lovely looking pool (although we didn't use it), and well maintained facilities.

Fantastic site to holiday, will definitely be going back

We went with our motorhome and our 2 small dogs. The camp was kept in perfect condition , all amenities were very clean and tidy. The restaurant was dog welcoming and food and amazing and reasonably priced. Service was also great. There were plenty of places to walk and the views of the cliffs and see were gorgeous. Will definitely be going back.

Exceeded my expectations - awesome site

All the staff are exceptional, the site is immaculate and the facilities are top rate. Beautiful surroundings, ease of access to local attractions, private beach to all intents and purpose. Highly recommend this site.

Great holiday

Scored facilities 3 due to distance to toilet/shower block, campers on grass had less facilities and furthest to walk. Okay in dry weather but not great on wet days. A smaller toilet facility near the grassed area would be ideal. Also, our first night, we arrived at 5pm and set up, looking forward to a meal to find they weren't serving that night 😩 Had to unhook and go down to Bridport to find somewhere open at 7pm on a Sunday night - not easy but found an Indian restaurant that was open 7 days a week. Lovely coastal walks and places to visit.

Fabulous site

Stunning views. Fabulous site. Very clean. Best showers we've had in a campsite, lots of hooks for clothing. Just fantastic site in every way I used the health club and went for a swim which again, clean and friendly staff. We went to the bar for a couple of drinks most evenings, very relaxing. We will definitely be returning!

Great site

We had a lovely 2 night stay in Little Shepherds field. The site was clean and facilities were spotless. The location is amazing with walks straight from the site onto the Jurassic coastline. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Stunning views

Stunning views of Jurassic Coast. Cliff walk access to West Bay and path to local pebbled beach. Excellent facilities on site including spa, shop, bar and restaurant. Toilets and shower block clean. Fantastic base to drive out and explore Dorset.

Fantastic place to camp and I'm definitely coming back here to explore more as I wasn't very lucky with the weather. The facilities are very clean and well taken care of.
