VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jul 2024 Great weekend break. Warm welcome, very helpful staff. Facilities were clean and within easy reach, well serviced. The location is great, always love seeing the ponies.
Perfect for dogs
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 Large sprawling site surrounded by woodland, heathland, paths and trails - all teaming with wildlife. You’d be hard pushed to find a better site for dogs.
It was relatively quiet during my stay.
Helpful staff
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jul 2024 Our first outing in our new motorhome and could not have picked a nicer spot. We found the staff helpful and knowledgeable regarding the local area. Staff worked meticulously to keep toilet and shower blocks clean; especially as it was a wet weekend.
We will definitely return before the end of the season.

VW-Type Campervan - Select Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 Confusing information prior to our arrival. We booked and they gave a postcode of BH23 7EQ for the site. This gave a location some distance away from the actual site. Luckily, I have done a lot of cycling in the area and remembered Helmsley. It is also well signposted.
The staff could not have been more helpful though and the site is spacious and beautifully located. Despite 1 inch of rain falling on our first night, the land drains very well and the site did not become muddy. The shop was well stocked and the shower / toilet blocks were clean and the water was hot.
Prices are higher than expected and, though we would love to do a 'dry week' here, it might not be affordable.

Staff are super accommodating and friendly.
The site is beautiful, rural and of outstanding natural beauty.
Great amenities, showers are free too and the toilets have toilet paper. Nice area to wash up, drinking water available and chemical waste facilities. We will be back for sure.

The site was so clean and spacious.
Lovely walks for dogs just outside the site.
Would highly recommend this place.

Nice big pitches, not too squashed in and the facilities were ok too! Shop & take away service was great! Would definitely come back!
Great location and site
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Pitches May 2024 Great location, horses right outside the campsite and lovely walks. Good park, people are very helpful and friendly, good onsite shop. Toilets/showers could be cleaned more often, especially as site was busy. But there are plenty.
Excellent staff and campsite
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Pitches May 2024 The staff were very friendly when we arrived and throughout our stay. It is an excellent site for dogs and there are several walks directly from the site. The toilet blocks are very clean and the only failing is that water runs from the end shower through the rest in the men's lower block, and the temperature is difficult to regulate in the lower ladies block.
Lots of space and right in the heart of the New Forest!
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2024 We enjoyed our stay at Holmsley. What is not to love? Right in the heart of the New Forest, plenty of space and everything we needed. Staff were extremely helpful and welcoming.
Excellent site
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2024 We have stayed here four times now and absolutely love this site.
The staff are all really nice, the facilities are always very clean and it's in a stunning location with so many beautiful places to visit in the area. Our two dogs love the walks surrounding the site and beautiful Southbourne and steamer point sandy beaches.
Cannot wait for our next visit.

Large A-class or Tag Axle Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2024 This is our second stay here and I’m sure there will be plenty more. The site is peaceful and a fab place for walking with or without dogs. Lovely to see the smaller children on the site having the freedom to roam and run around safely. The staff are fantastic and very friendly. Full marks!
Fantastic stay
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2024 We were welcomed and shown to our space, which was a hardstanding electric pitch. Very quiet and spacious within close proximity of the facilities.
The campsite is well maintained and staff very friendly, the only downfall I found was I felt the on site shop (The Hangar) was very expensive, £2.75 for a loaf of bread.
All in all, a fantastic stay and we will definitely be going back. Thankyou for an awesome stay.

Weekend away
Motorhome - Non Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2024 Booked a electric hardstanding pitch. On arrival, the pitch we were shown was not suitable for us as there were lots of young children and we wanted a slightly quieter pitch. Staff were very helpful and put us away from the play area.
The site is very open, pitches are not "defined" and you have an area. The shop is well stocked, the on site café did breakfast and pizza at night, we didn't try, but smelt wonderful. We felt a little uncomfortable at the motorhome service point just letting the waste drain away on to the ground with no drainage, but this was what you did.
Cannot fault the staff or cleanliness, the location was good too. This is an old airfield, so it's not pristine, but a great site for families with young children - lots of space to play and ride bikes etc and everyone was very friendly.
Clean, friendly and fantastic location
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2024 We have just returned from a fantastic stay at Holmsley. The staff were all friendly and happy to help, the facilities were all well kept and very, very clean.
The children both played freely around the site and the park and enjoyed the playground.
Brilliant local walks and cycle trails for all abilities and close to the villages and good pubs.
We thoroughly enjoyed are staying and are ready to book to go back this summer.
Thanks for making our trip so enjoyable.
Stay with motorhome
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2024 Great location. Easy access to loads of walks and on National Cycle Route 2, with access to lots of other cycle routes.
Being a former airfield, lots of genuine hardstanding.
