Tipi or Wigwam - TipeeCo Tipis (Dog Friendly) Jul 2025 Beautiful stay at Longthorn farm.
The team there were very friendly and helpful. Loved seeing all the animals. I stayed here whilst doing the Jurassic Mighty Hike. So didn't get too much time to explore but I'll definitely be back with my family.
I stayed in a tipi, Had the best sleep both nights! Beautiful tipi perfect for a family of 4.

Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches May 2025 We had a fantastic stay at Longthorns.
The campsite was spacious, clean and the kids loved it. Even on a really rainy day, everyone was happy playing pool or visiting the animals around the farm. Feeding the lambs, piglets and holding chicks were massive highlights for us, too.
The owners were friendly, accommodating and took time out to chat to us and the kids to make our stay extra special. Absolutely fantastic site. Thank you.
Best campsite ever!
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches May 2025 Honestly, the best camping trip! So much for the kids (and me) to do! Feeding pigs, giving lambs a bottle, holding baby chicks.
Waking up to monkeys and animals was just the best. Campfires, smores, BBQs.
Indoor bar and pool table and ping pong, best burger from the food dude van. Facilities are fine, showers hot, toilets clean. My kids had the best time! Thank you so much! We will definitely be back!

Tipi or Wigwam - TipeeCo Tipis Apr 2025 Wow! What an amazing place to stay.
The location was great with the tank museum and Monkey World down the road. We stayed in a tipi, we forgot our duvet so a lady grabbed us some that we could borrow.
The staff are all so helpful, we spent some time talking to the girls about all the different animals on the farm. They were telling us the animals names and their personality types and how much they both loved their jobs and how lovely the family are that run the farm.
We would def stay here again, our 2 children loved the space and freedom to run around, see the animals and play some table tennis when they wanted too.
I would highly recommend staying here to anyone and everyone

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2025 My partner and I go camping quite often, this is definitely one of our favourite campsites we have ever been to! There are so many animals on site, so friendly and lovely!
The staff were so kind as well, we will be coming back later this summer!

Shepherd's Hut - Shepherd's Huts Mar 2025 We enjoyed our stay at Longthorns in a shepherds hut. The site manager was personable, friendly and helpful. A little TLC is needed on the eco toilets, otherwise, all was fine.
Great site
Motorhome - Electric Grass Pitches Dec 2024 A great place and the location was in a lovely environment. I couldn't get the showering facilities warm and the toilet block was freezing including taps. I ended up using my own shower, but not everyone has that luxury.
I would stay there again as the positives out number the negatives, thanks for a wonderful experience.
Quiet, calm, lots of cute animals
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Nov 2024 We arrived a bit early and after calling the number given, were told to pick whichever pitch we liked (off season so mostly empty, very nice) which was lovely. Big facilities with outdoor and indoor sinks for washing dishes as well as being hygienic. There are quite a lot of animals close to the pitch area which was wonderful for me to be able to watch them, but if anyone has allergies, I'd be cautious.
Pitches were good, even after some rain, and all the pitches had electricity. Good bins area, a bit far from any public transport as a whole, but for most people probably not an issue, very quiet and idyllic.

Lovely location, clean and tidy Shepherd's Hut - Shepherd's Hut (Dog Friendly) Nov 2024 A lovely peaceful location, with the woods set right behind us.
It was lovely to open the door in the morning to a lovely spacious field with a nice view. We had a campfire in the evening times and a log burner which heat the hut within 10 minutes of burning. Remember to take duvets as we forgot!
There were four of us, we had a sheet on the double bed, but no sheets for the two singles, and the double bed mattress and pillows were uncomfortable and the single beds were very uncomfortable. So much so, that we did not sleep well. I recommend this hut to 2 people or maybe 3. Also, there are only 2 USB ports in the hut, which stop charging by around 6 ish in the morning, along with the lights.
The place overall is clean and tidy and staff were friendly.
We had a great time regardless of the beds, but I would not say this hut is a luxury.

Motorhome - Electric Grass Pitches Nov 2024 Lovely campsite and friendly team. Good facilities. Autumn break so it was quiet and therefore easy to access all facilities in a timely manner. Easy access to all major walking/sightseeing spots such as Durdle door, Lulworth Cove and other less well known areas. Lots of eateries and little villages around. Seamless booking arrangements.
Sweet alpacas on site and adjacent to Monkey World if you wish to take a trip. Cons: lots of sound from the firing ranges which in itself is fine, but if you have a nervous dog, I would think again. We enjoyed our trip. Thanks.

This was our first time camping. The site was absolutely amazing. The owners made us feel welcome. They were very friendly and helpful. The campsite was amazing. Will certainly visit Longthorns Farm again. Monkey
World was a stroll away.
Perfect hosts

We cannot fault the site and facilities at Longthorns Farm, but particular credit goes to the owners for their care and assistance when our motorhome broke down - they are the perfect hosts!

Tipi or Wigwam - TipeeCo Tipis Aug 2024 Very good accommodation, exactly what we needed, very comfortable bed and peaceful location. We stayed when 'The Food Dude' was on site, which was great, and having a "pub" on site was great too. 🙂

Shepherd's Hut - Shepherd's Huts Aug 2024 We had a lovely stay for two nights in a shepherds hut on Longthorns farm, the facilities were fair and the shepherds hut had charging stations however there was no electricity whist we were there and we did need to charge phones for use of maps ect. The owners did give us a charger block which was helpful.
This site was a brilliant location, we visited Lulworth cove and monkey world which was a very short drive away. My kids and I loved waking up and seeing all the animals every day.
Great family campsite
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 Stayed here for 4 nights in August 2024 and it was perfect for our needs. 9 year old twins had a great time exploring and hanging out with other kids. 👍
Longthorns
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 A great site, unfortunately our pitch was next to the main track used by cars and pedestrians to access other fields. This meant it was a bit noisy for us, but has enabled us to learn what we want from a site.
Facilities were great, and staff were very friendly, our daughter loved the animals. Can't fault the ladies facilities, but unfortunately my husband experienced issues with the men's and did report these.
Over night stopover
Motorhome - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 We stopped overnight on way to Camp Bestival. Was a lovely clean site, very friendly and helpful staff, nice little shop on site and great little bar on site.

Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 Brilliant. Campsite was lovely. We arrived late and even though the kitchen was closed due to having to pre order, the gentleman went out of his way and cooked for us (family of 4) even blew the bouncy castle back up for our boys so they could let of some steam! The campsite it self was overall lovely, very peaceful and clean! Would highly recommend to others! Even had a freezer out side to store your ice packs in!
Great stay Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2024 Warm welcome on arrival to this well kept, clean site. Great dog field and woods on site, loved all the animals. A great location for Swanage, Lulworth and Studland etc. The lady who checks you in and the owner were both very nice and helpful.
