Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 A beautiful off-grid campsite set amongst the Cotswold countryside.
Facilities are exactly as described on their listing - basic but perfect for its very rural setting. Hares/rabbits can be seen bounding over the grassy hill and Red Kites soar above. Would highly recommend this campsite for a real 'get away from it all' place to stay.
A real gem, very peaceful Recommends site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 This was a great site.
Although they market themselves as a back to basics campsite, their amenities were great with preset fire pits, sheltered dining area and very comfortable showers. I particularly liked the attention to recycling.
I definitely recommend the view from the top of the hill for sunset.
Brilliant first time camping Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 My first time camping experience and it was wonderful.
Lovely owners, clean eco-friendly compost toilets and great showers. If you want a simple, sustainable campsite then this is for you. Had gorgeous food at the village pub and walked to Bibury and back across the fields. No phone signal or wifi means you can just 'be'. Just myself and grown up daughter.
Lovely, peaceful site Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2025 Quiet peaceful site, with only a few pitches but loads of room. Other campers here were also very friendly and pleasant. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Note this an off grid site with basic/rustic facilities but this was clear from the booking and we found everything to be perfectly adequate. We never had to queue for facilities as common on larger sites. Toilets were clean and didn't smell, showers good and hot. there is a open sided shelter with benches and tables in case of bad weather which is a nice touch.
Phone/internet signal is non existent which was nice actually for a change, but be aware if this is important to you.
Only thing I would have liked to see added is a mirror, but can easily take one if we visit again.
Quiet, remote, nature Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2025 Nice farm campsite, quiet and well located.
Peaceful, idyllic getaway Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2025 We have enjoyed an idyllic weekend.
Our preference is for simple sites with plenty of space, where we can have a fire, and The T-Barn fitted the bill perfectly.
Hot, spacious showers were delightful and those and the compost loos were kept pristine...the best we have come across.
No Wi-Fi made this a real retreat. Walks from the area are lovely and the view from up the hill is stunning.
The local pub is a short and beautiful walk away from the site offering good quality food and drink. We would definitely return.
First time camping newbies!! Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2025 This was our first stay in our newly purchased camper, so as newbies, this was the perfect introduction to camping!
The pitch was great, the area around was big enough for us to roam free, and throw sticks (Ralph, my Frenchie, adores them). The toilets & shower blocks were excellent, and cleaned daily. The provided fire pits were obvious, and can be filled with timber provided in a small shed, with an honest box to pay for what's used (excellent idea).
The views were amazing, and we saw deer running in the fields most mornings when we walked. The local village pub (10-15 minutes walk, safely), with a good selection of beers/ales/ciders, and an excellent menu, which was affordable and delicious.
My only gripe was there didn't seem to be lots to do in the immediate area, although we did venture out in the camper to various places. I was a visitor though, so may well have missed local opportunities to visit.
Bank holiday stay away Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2025 Stayed 2 nights at this campsite and was very pleased with the site. Very quiet, as stated on the description, if this is what you're after to just relax. Campsite was found easy by the pin point given to get you there.
Bad points were poor phone signal but, if you want to get away from all devices and back to the old school, it's ideal like it was for us.
Just 15 minute walk down the country lane we found a nice pub called the Village Pub. Great food, staff and drinks.
Going back to the site, the toilets and showers were very clean showers were nice and warm. Compost toilets but had no issues. Sinks to wash your pots and pans. Local areas to visit for walks and sight seeing. Would I stay again? 100% yes.
