Clear filters Peaceful and relaxing
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jul 2023 We had a lovely time in the peace and quiet. Stunning views and fantastically clean site. John was easy to reach and very helpful and friendly. Will definitely be coming again.

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Jul 2023 Easy to find. Really enjoyed the place and the surrounding mountains. Very quiet and green. We even saw an owl, sitting on the road seemingly guarding the access to the site.
John was most welcoming and helpful. Super experience!
It's a retreat!
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Campervan and Motorhome Pitches Jun 2023 A fantastic location with amazing views - feels really secluded whilst having the benefit of a pub and shop within a 1 mile walk. Plenty of wild life to see along with dark skies.
John is a great host - hits that great balance of being friendly and welcoming without being intrusive.
Toilets are portaloo but they are very well kept. John told us that more permanent toilets and showers are on the way.
This is a great site in a lovely valley - we will return!
A hidden gem
Motorhome - Non Electric Grass Campervan and Motorhome Pitches Jun 2023 What a beautiful, peaceful place to stay- we love it there.
The owner is super friendly and makes your stay, without fault.
We will be back.
Great location, fantastic customer service
VW-Type Campervan - Large Non Electric Grass Pitches (Riverside with Mountain View) Jun 2023 John is so welcoming and accommodating.
We were lucky that the campsite was quiet, so we had plenty of space but even if it was full, the pitches are large and seem reasonably well spaced.
There are no showers and only have 5 chemical toilets- so if it was busy, the facilities may be lacking!
We walked up to Offa's Path from the campsite to breathtaking views, wild ponies and total peace and quiet.
We would definitely go back.

Tranquil

The only draw back is kids kicking footballs around open fires and the BBQ, got hit a few times which could have caused a problem. But the site itself was fantastic, quite and beautiful!
John was brilliant. Coming back soon, going to be bringing the whole family.
Amazing campsite

The views were incredible with the mountain in the background.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Campervan and Motorhome Pitches May 2023 Wow just everything and more we could have hoped for. Ok so the sun shone the whole time however even if it hadn't it wouldn't have mattered. The welcome was so warm and hospitable, John is a fantastic host. The site is so well maintained and pretty much all you could wish for! We will return again and again, the location is a little peace of heaven 💜

Idyllic Spot
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Campervan and Motorhome Pitches Sep 2022 We were lucky and found ourselves in a beautiful place at the foot of the hills and were the only people there. We walked the hills from the campsite and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. However, there are only 6 portaloos, so when the site is busy this could be a problem.

Late August camping
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2022 John, our host, was warm, friendly and welcoming. He went out of his way to make sure everyone was comfortable and happy.
The campsite has an idyllic setting and kept to the absolute highest level of maintenance and cleanliness. A truly relaxing and enjoyable experience.

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2022 We loved our stay. Stunning location, beautifully kept and clean site that lights up with fairy lights at night. My daughter loved the rope swing over the stream. Lots of picturesque walks in the area. John is a brilliant, friendly host and always on hand when needed.
We cannot wait to return!
Discovering a secluded valley
Bell Tent - Unfurnished Bell Tents Jul 2022 Wonderful location and peaceful spacious surroundings. Longtown has an outstanding village shop as well as pub and castle. Great walks from the site. But this is not for you if you like all mod cons as no showers or washing facilities, though lovely water from a spring.
