Lovely campsite

Absolutely love Solley's. Great walks for humans and dogs. Really friendly and helpful staff, especially Rob the groundsman, nothing is to much trouble. Solley's always has something going on, like tractor rides and things for kids. He has his own little planes that take to the air on a good weekend. There is a bar open on weekends. All this and an ice cream parlour - what's not to love. The ice cream parlour also does food.

Recommend!

We had wonderful time in the beautiful camper side. The owner is so, so polite and helpful and makes you feel like at home ;-) Super kind! Very peaceful and relaxing place. The facilities were very clean too. Great location, nice pub, delicious ice cream! We will definitely be back there! Thank you so much!

A perfect first camping adventure

A beautiful place to camp. Really friendly hosts, super clean flat field and decent sized plots. The ice-cream was yummy and there were lots of flavours to choose from. Really accessible to local towns. All in all, a great place to camp and we'll be back.

Peaceful site great location

Beautiful views, on a slope, great that there is ice cream parlour and pub. New shower block. Staff very friendly and helpful. Definitely going back.

Very nice stay

We only stayed here for one night, it was very cold and windy that day, unfortunately. The location is great for the east coast, close to Deal, Dover, Sandwich etc. Site was very quiet with only a few pitches in use, so can't comment how it would be in peak season. Our pitch was perfect for our use. Facilities were very clean, although only 2 were in use, due to the low number of pitches in use, so to be expected. No issues at all. On site pub was lovely and friendly staff, both there and in the ice cream parlour. Very nice ice creams!

Overnight stay before boarding Eurotunnel

We arrived late evening and just stayed overnight before catching the Eurotunnel the following morning. It was a great location for our purposes as very convenient for the Eurotunnel but aside from that its also a great campsite for longer stays. The facilities were good and the dogs had a nice long walk before we headed out. Hosts were very accommodating.

Extremely hospitable hosts, incredible facilities and will definitely come back!

We loved our stay! I've never been to a campsite with facilities at this level of cleanliness. The toilets/shower are super spacious and well kept, there was hot water at both the sink and the showers (runs on for a really long time too, so no need to worry about stepping out after the 5 mins limit which is what other camp sites annoyingly do!) We went for NYE and despite the weather being horrible, we still had such a good time because the host was super caring. We were warmly received upon arrival, and were provided with all the instructions we needed!

Warm welcome into the campsite

A lovely campsite with great facilities, friendly people and an overall brilliant place to camp. We were the only ones camping overnight as the weather conditions were very poor. We were given a nice area blocking the wind to set up, which was a nice gesture.

Lovely, quiet and peaceful

Lovely, quiet and peaceful place to stay just before our long journey to Paris. Lovely place to stay! Only our second time towing and staying in the caravan, so just getting used to it. The owner and colleague helped us disconnect the caravan from car due to us being stuck in mud. The owner of the campsite got his tractor and parked our caravan up! Lovely, peaceful place before our very long trip to Paris. Looking forward to come back on the 6th for your live entertainment. Thank you :) x

Would recommend

Lovely campsite, very quiet as out of season and midweek. Good facilities with a bar and ice cream parlour on site, there's also a local pub if needed. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. As it was only a 1 night stay, I didn't need any grey water or toilet disposal, so I'm unable to comment on the availability of these facilities. Will definitely visit again.

Solley's campsite

Definitely a fantastic location for visits to the castles in the surrounding area.

2 night stop over

The site was clean and looked after. The café had perfect breakfast, I went on a curry night and quiz night, it was a good night. The showers etc were all new, there were new hardstanding pitches for more motorhomes. I had a great time, will be back soon.

Perfect in every way

Unlike the normal campsites (fields) this place has things to do, a pub, play areas, ice cream shop. We will be back many times.

What a little gem

Checked the weather forecast and looked favourable, so I booked for 2 nights. What a beautiful place, huge pitch, lovely green grass and a brand new toilet/shower block. The ice cream parlour was a lovely café, it's even got a pub on site. Nearly forgot Rob the man on site, what a legend he really couldn't do enough for us.

Brilliant campsite

This is the first time we have been to this campsite and we were very impressed with the facilities. Great to have a pub and a restaurant on site, also the shower facilities were always kept clean. The only thing that is missing is a small shop. Will definitely come back again and also recommend to our friends.

Lovely site

Three adult ladies, one 13 yr old teenager and two dogs in our group. We were greeted with smiles and lovely Amber when we arrived. Rob showed us to our pitch and gave us some tips on the local area. Lovely site with new shower and toilet block, new pub area and the delicious ice cream. What more could we need 😀 We will definitely be booking again next year.

The site was rural and quiet There was a bar which had live entertainment and a bbq The parlour served breakfast and good coffee the ice cream was delicious
