Clear filters Just beautiful
Motorhome - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 Excellent place to stay for the first outing in my new camper!
The place is massive with so many pitches to choose from. It's easy to find a nice quiet spot.
Toilets were clean and showers nice. Long way away if you are in the far away fields but I'm sure people may have their own facilities! Was very quiet when we were there but I expect it may get a bit busy in the summer!
Lovely place though and would thoroughly recommend it 😃

Disappointing experience Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 From the moment we arrived, something felt off. The main reason I booked this site was because of the videos on Campsites.co.uk, which showed fantastic children's facilities. However, the playground has apparently been closed since 2023 and will not be reopened. There are no other children's facilities on-site, which feels misleading. Surely the campsite or listing site could update or remove outdated content?
Unfortunately, the facilities were poor. They appeared to be cleaned only in the early morning, and by late morning they were already quite dirty. This was disappointing and didn't meet basic expectations. The location itself isn't bad - easy access to nearby areas, which was a plus.
For two nights, we experienced loud noise until around 1am due to a large group camped next to us.The site promotes itself as an "award-winning Kent campsite," but beyond an open field, we didn't see anything that would justify such a title.
Overall, this was a disappointing experience that didn't match the expectations set by the online listing.

The family farm, park, museums and Oast houses are a separate entity from the campsite and have been closed since the beginning of 2023 as advertised on their website. The manager has now updated this booking platform to reflect the closure and I apologise for any inconvenience and disappointment this has caused.
The facilities have 3 daily cleans on a weekend and 2 during the week when quiet.
Checks of the campsite are taken at 10pm and any music being played or disturbance is dealt with. After these checks we rely on guests to let us know by calling the 24 hour mobile printed on the front of check-in cards.
The campsite is for families to enjoy outside time together with walks through the fields and along the river. For those who have forgotten to bring board games we do have a few for guests to borrow whilst here. There are also places to visit and many have free entry, information available in reception/touring office.

Motorhome - Hardstanding Pitches May 2025 Just got back from the Hop Farm, the site was excellent.
Facilities were immaculate - hot and cold showers, waste disposal, electrical hook up, water hook up.
We met a lovely lady, couldn't do enough for us, staff very helpful.
Would recommend it and definitely go again.
Saturday and Sunday there was a boot there, got some bargains just around the corner brewer's fair lovely food and cater for celiac.

Ok but a bit tired

The family park and farm is closed which makes it only a campsite with country walks and the river to enjoy with family and friends.

Peaceful and spacious
Motorhome - Hardstanding Pitches May 2025 The site was massive! We weren't given any information on arrival so took a while to find pub, river etc.
Toilets were clean but my husband found toilet and shower cubicles very small!

I am sorry you were not given any information on arrival, I will remind the staff working to ask if guests require any information especially if they have not stayed before.
Apart from the disabled facilities the toilets and showers are of a standard size for campsites.

The play park is part of the family park which is closed as advertised and there are no other play areas on site, there are lots of open spaces to enjoy riding or ball games.

Good location
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Oct 2024 A good place to stay for good value of money. It could be a bit more for kids to play, i.e. the facilities. However, as a place for a group of friends or a weekend away. It's ideal.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2024 The only thing I would comment on negatively is the toilet/shower areas. They need checking on in more regular intervals.

Huge site, great facilities
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 Huge area for non electric. Electric area looks quite full and crowded though.
The place is so huge, you can do many things there. We liked the no music after 10pm policy. Mobile network signal is great. Toilet facilities are great, with good and hot enough showers, and lots of space. Hair dryer in the toilet is a great plus for us.
Services are great. The campsite is not difficult to get to, but staff still gave very detailed instructions. Check in is easy.

It was a nice place, all the people were friendly. It was a quiet place and the people respected each other.

Al little bit disappointed VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 Very quiet place. When you look for rest and no service, this place is perfect. Enough space for everyone.
We haven't seen any cleaning of the sanitary building for 48 hours? The family park next door is closed for maintenance in the high season. We weren't sure if this was good or if this was a pity for us.

During the week there is only 1 toilet/shower block open as only a few guests staying, therefore it only gets cleaned once per day which you may have missed. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, both blocks get 3 daily cleans. If you have any issues whilst staying, please report it immediately by either coming to the office or calling the mobile number printed on the front of your check-in cards as we are not able to rectify issues once you have left and report it on a review.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 I absolutely loved my stay. I had good privacy, facilities were great for me. Saw a lady who lived on site, was friendly, chatty and welcoming. Lovely site with nice walks to a canal, little river was good for the kids.
I would definitely recommend and definitely stay again.

Overnight before Euro Tunnel
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2024 Good pre Euro Tunnel venue. Pity the nearby pub didn't take dogs, onsite pizza was a bonus though.

VW-Type Campervan - Hardstanding Pitches Jun 2024 Perfect for us and the dogs. No events on, so 400 acres almost to ourselves. Highly recommend for dog owners. Can't say about kids, don't know what they need.
Shower block a bit bit dated, but nice and clean.

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2024 Amazing stay, friendly and helpful staff.
Lots of room if like us, you have a nervous dog, managed to tuck ourselves away in a corner. Clean and tidy toilets.
Enjoyed our stay very much and will be staying again very soon.

Lovely site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2024 Lovely site. Only complaint is that the grass hadn't been cut. I'm disabled and couldn't get to the toilets without help as my crutches, which I need to walk with, kept sticking in the grass.
Facilities very clean, lovely camping fields, people friendly. Would definitely go there again.

Not all of our fields had been cut, sadly the one you chose to stay in had not had time to be cut (I presume it was the field closest to the facilities).

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2024 Thoroughly enjoyed! Only suggestion would be more necessities in the shop. Forgot a few things and would have been nice to just grab them in the shop! Will return.

We have limited space in the touring office/shop for selling essential items and stocking perishables means we would have wastage if not sold as not many guests need the items.
We are more than happy to direct guests to the nearest shop if asked (one within walking distance or 2 minute drive the other a 5 minute drive).
