Motorhome - Hardstanding Motorhome Pitches (Optional Electric) Jun 2025 Beautiful site, clean and great facilities, owners really nice and friendly, would recommend a stay if you like a nice peaceful break with a lovely river walk or enjoy fishing.
Excellent value for money.

Peaceful stay
Single Axle Caravan - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) Jun 2025 Lovely peaceful and clean campsite. Hosts were very approachable.
Moving forward, maybe another shower room but it certainly wouldn't put me off returning.

We appreciate the note about adding another shower room and will take it into consideration as we look to future improvements however with us only being a small campsite it may not be financially viable. We are glad to hear that it wouldn't put you off returning.

Super week
Motorhome - Hardstanding Motorhome Pitches (Optional Electric) Jun 2025 Perfect site for dog walking, aircraft spotting, fishing and sunbathing.
Grass kept short, great wi-fi included, clean showers and toilets large disabled shower room with toilet.
Helpful, approachable hosts.

Sisters on tour
Motorhome - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) Jun 2025 Greeted at the entrance with a smile, location of facilities and walks explained, very friendly, pitch was super.
We had a great 2 night stay, with great food at the pub next door.

Lovely quiet site
Motorhome - Hardstanding Motorhome Pitches (Optional Electric) May 2025 What a beautiful site. We parked our motorhome in the corner and it was a perfect pitch, plenty of room.
Toilet/shower facilities were very clean and spacious, and had everything in there you needed - from smellies to a foot board coming out of the shower. Plenty of hot water and powerful water flow. Although there were only 2 showers, we never had to wait long, even on a busy bank holiday. The surroundings villages were beautiful, especially Woodhall Spa and the owners were so friendly and accommodating in telling us of places to visit. They were always on hand and busy.
We went over the bank holiday and it was full, but can imagine it would be a lovely, quiet site at another time. Will definitely return to sample the fishing next time. Thank you for our lovely stay.

Excellent stay
Single Axle Caravan - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) Apr 2025 Accommodating hosts, went above and beyond to assist and support me in my stay.
Amazing location, very dog friendly.
Only suggestion lots of local walks that tourists may not be aware of.

VW-Type Campervan - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) Apr 2025 Lovely owners who are very welcoming. Very peaceful and next to a lovely pub. Would recommend for a quiet and relaxing break and showers were very clean 😊😊

VW-Type Campervan - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) Mar 2025 A nice and quiet site with very friendly and approachable owners. The facilities block is clean, warm and functional but is in need of an upgrade. This was the only reason for not being a 5 star review.

The shower block was due to be updated in January, however we were let down and only managed to get one done before the season started again, as you said they are all clean and will be completed for the next season.
This is just our second season so all work in progress.

Great stay at a lovely site
Medium Tent - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) Aug 2024 We had 3 nights at Bainside Lodge whilst attending racing at Cadwell. A lovely, clean, peaceful site, with good facilities. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Well worth a visit
Large Tent - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) Aug 2024 Booked 2 days and was my 1st time camping for the other half. She was spoilt with good weather and all the luxuries from home, warm welcome on arrival and allocated a big plot. Small shop on site with fresh eggs from chickens which walk round freely.
Toilets and showers kept very clean. Very quiet and peaceful site as it is adults only. Fishing lakes and river behind, and an excellent pub next door and the jeep was a bonus.
Will definitely be back and recommend to others.

Chaotic Sprinter-Type Campervan - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) Aug 2024 Chaotic and packed in like sardines.

Hi Greame, sorry that you feel that your stay was chaotic, if you had mentioned this during your stay we would have tried to make amends, we were not aware that you were not happy.
It was a very busy weekend with all pitches taken however there were two groups of 3 campers who wanted to be pitched together so it may have appeared they were very close and not in allocated pitches (this was their choice).
This is our first season so it is a learning curve as well as work in progress, we appreciate all feedback.

On the whole a friendly, value for money site
Single Axle Caravan - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) Aug 2024 We enjoyed our few days away at Bainside.
We had a couple of issues, one, that we were near the toilets and the smell from the drains was quite bad. The other was that I know it is high season, but campervans and tents were squeezed in on any available bit of ground, so it seemed very cramped.

We are glad that you enjoyed your stay overall. We are always about on site or just a phone call away if there are any issues, if we had been made aware of the unpleasant smell while you were staying with us we would have been able to sort it out. You did make us aware on your departure and we immediately dealt with the issue. It was a very busy weekend and this is our first season and a learning curve, we had a number of units and tents which requested to be put together therefore however this is what the guests requested.

Excellent place to relax and switch off
Large Tent - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) Jul 2024 Perfect for a quiet weekend away from the hustle and bustle.
The hosts are welcoming and keen to ensure you have everything to enjoy your stay.
All facilities are close by and kept clean. Although the site is smaller than others there was plenty of space between pitches, with electric and water access available very close to pitches (right next to most).
The pub next to the site is closed on Sundays and the chef was also away on holiday during our stay, meaning they were not serving food but we understand this is the main holiday season and everyone deserves a break. There are plenty more pubs just a short drive away to enjoy.

Lovely site

We had grass pitch with plenty of room. Nice fishing lake to walk dog around. Small shop with basics, didn't use it. The toilet shower block small but always clean. Pub right next door served good food. #

Beautiful setting with friendly owners
Motorhome - Hardstanding Motorhome Pitches (Optional Electric) Jul 2024 Such a lovely location, with amazing hosts. Nothing was too much bother. Made you feel so welcome. The size of the campsite made it very homely, where everyone was so friendly.

Perfect
Medium Tent - Grass Pitches (Optional Electric) May 2024 A very pretty campsite with a lovely pub next door.
The owners of the campsite went out of their way to help us when the battery died in our car!🙄 Not only did they help fix it but drove us into town too.
Can't fault the site, it's a beautiful area and the facilities are clean and tidy.
Would definitely recommend it and will definitely go back again. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!!😘
