Medium Tent - Medium Woodland Tent Pitches (Family Friendly) Jun 2025 Nice little place we stayed at, had a blast playing board games with the fire plus Harry is very kind and helpful.

Great stay
Large Tent - Large Tent Pitch (Family Friendly) Jun 2025 Great little site. Felt very peaceful, lots of space between pitches and good room in our pitch (taffs)
Facilities clean and excellent condition. Great to be able to have a fire.
Wardens available but not intrusive.
Recommended.

Amazing
Large Tent - Large Tent Pitch (Family Friendly) Apr 2025 Me and my partner stayed on Taffy's pitch, apart from having a few people walk past the pitch now and again, it was pretty good.
The pitch was big enough for us to do what we needed to do and handy as we were close to the car park.
Friendly wardens on site. Me and my partner loved it we didn't want to leave!
We had perfect weather, perfect location, going to miss hearing all the wildlife on a night and miss seeing the robin and two blue tits that would visit our pitch.
All in all, it was a great place to spend our time and we are definitely coming back in June!

What a great experience!
Small Tent - Small Woodland Tent Pitches (Family Friendly) Mar 2025 Great campsite. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Facilities were great, pot washing station, play area for kids, toilets, showers etc. Had a walk around the trenches and bunker with Jonathan, which was wicked.
Had a great time here and will definitely be booking again with the family!

Really good 'nearly wild' camping
Backpacker Tent - Backpacker Tent Pitches Mar 2025 My first time at DH and I've already decided I'll definitely be going back.
Lovely pitches, in a wild setting, albeit with a few toilet / wash / washing up facilities to make your stay more comfortable. Lots of wildlife in the vicinity, deer, birds and even peacocks perching in the trees. The firepits on each pitch are great, cannot beat a campfire. I loved it.
Well worth trying for a bit of nearly wild camping and also a good base location for walks and bird watching in the area.

Quirky and charming

Dreamy Hollow
VW-Type Campervan - Woodland Campervan Pitch (Family Friendly) Oct 2024 We only planned on staying for 3 nights, but decided to extend our stay another 2 nights as we loved every minute of the peace and quiet.
Harry made us very welcome, a very polite and helpful man. The showers were nice and hot, a well kept site which we hope to return to again.

Perfect hideaway
Small Tent - Small Woodland Tent Pitches (Family Friendly) Oct 2024 Beautiful little woodland hideaway! Almost in the middle of nowhere, whilst being only 15 minutes away from the supermarkets and shops.
A lovely setting and extremely peaceful. Harry was a great host, couldn't have asked for better. There are toilets and shower cubicles on site, these could do with a little updating but served their purpose. This is not the place for people who are looking for home comforts. This is a proper outdoor, no electricity, woodland experience which is exactly what we needed. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Wild camping with comfort
Small Tent - Small Woodland Tent Pitches (Family Friendly) Aug 2024 Couldn't recommend Dreamy Hollow highly enough for anyone who enjoys self-sustained wild camping but with the luxury of amenities!
A peaceful dog-friendly environment with a historic atmosphere, clean toilets, showers, fire pits, firewood on demand and washing up amenities which were all respected and well taken care of by your friendly warden Harry.
What more could you ask for!? Don't hesitate to book.

Lovely little spot
Small Tent - Small Woodland Tent Pitches (Family Friendly) Jul 2024 I wanted a little getaway in a quiet spot in a beautiful location and this ticked all the boxes.
The pitches all feel separate and enclosed, so you feel a million miles from other people.
The team running the place are friendly and on hand should you need anything. The toilets and showers are easily accessible and more than enough for a back to basics trip away.
The surrounding country side and villages are beautiful, making a nice drive to and from the site.
All in all I highly recommend, and I will almost certainly be back for another off-grid weekend soon.

Beautiful site VW-Type Campervan - Woodland Campervan Pitch (Family Friendly) Jul 2024 We like staying on interesting little campsites, ideally where you can camp among the trees. This one was just lovely. High point: we found chairs perfectly positioned to catch a beautiful sunset.

Perfect campsite nestled in nature
Medium Tent - Group Tent Pitches (Family Friendly) Jun 2024 Very nice campsite with a lot of privacy, the layout is ideal for large groups and really makes you feel like you are camping on your own in nature. The facilities are exactly what they need to be. For the price, you really couldn't ask for anything more.

Wild camping vibes
Small Tent - Medium Secluded Tent Pitches (Family Friendly) Apr 2024 Love this campsite! Secluded pitches in the woods means you can feel alone and enjoy peace. If you like wild camping, peace and privacy, but want the convenience of a basic toilet, shower, fresh water and car park, then this is for you!
Prices are very reasonable considering that they are not cramming pitches together like some other campsites. The site is in lovely rural area and could be a great option for bike packers or multi-day hikers.

Dreamy Hollow Woodland Campsite
Small Tent - Medium Tent Pitch (Adult Only) Mar 2024 We camped on Tom's pitch over the Easter Bank Holiday which was absolutely perfect 👌
Upon arrival, we were met by the sites warden Harry who was very welcoming and approachable if needed.
The facilities are more than adequate for your camping needs. Although we didn't use the shower facilities, they were well used by other campers and looked steaming hot too.
We totally relaxed into our surroundings which is exactly what we need coming from the city. Being woken up by the dawn chorus was a total joy, the perfect way to start the day! We even saw a few white peacocks roosting in the trees on site! I literally didn't even know peacocks could fly - lol.
Could not recommend this campsite enough. We'll definitely be returning!

Rural & peaceful site VW-Type Campervan - Woodland Campervan Pitch (Family Friendly) Feb 2024 Arranged a late arrival so was nearly dark when arriving. We found someone else on our booked pitch, we spoke with the couple who apologised and moved to the correct pitch.
Once set up, the site felt very relaxing, the setting of the site is fantastic, loads of space around you and not too close to other people camping. If you like nature then this site is perfect. The toilet and shower facilities are basic, but we knew this when booking. The site has a very interesting history, we had the pleasure of meeting the site owner who took 10 mins out of his day to talk about the site and it's history.
We will definitely be going back through the summer.

Lovely place to camp and switch off
Small Tent - Medium Secluded Tent Pitches (Family Friendly) Oct 2023 We have had a very relaxing stay at Dreamy Hollow Woodland Campsite. It felt very private as all people camping had their own little area that was surrounded by trees to camp in. John was very helpful to explain where everything was.
Toilets and showers had hot water. Would highly recommend and come back myself as it's a great location too.

Dreamy Hollow perfect wild camping
Medium Tent - Medium Tent Pitch (Adult Only) Sep 2023 Me and my friend wanted peace, quiet and woodlands and we got it all. Wild camping was what we wanted and we got it.
It's not far from the beach, the cutest community village shops, white horse pub and observatory. The staff are so so helpful without being underfoot.
The WW1 bunker tour was worth every penny, eye opening and the knowledge of the tour guide was amazing.
I would highly recommend a stopover or a long weekend getaway. Perfectly placed (once you find the gate). It was everything we wanted.
The cherry on the top was the wildlife, owls singing.

Great site
Small Tent - Medium Secluded Tent Pitches (Family Friendly) Jul 2023 We had a great stay at Dreamy Hollow.
The warden was very helpful and showed us to our pitch and pointed us in the direction of everything we needed, despite us arriving late. The pitches were great size and we felt tucked away from others for privacy.
We had some lovely day trips to local towns and made sure we had all the provisions we needed as there was no shop or pub nearby. The facilities were basic but did the job.
The only thing I would've liked would have been hot running water in the washing up area as it rained the whole time we were there and we did not want to sit outside to boil water.
