Great site
Large Tent - Grass Camping Pitches (Optional Electric) Aug 2025 This was a great site and perfect for exploring North Norfolk. The staff are brilliant and the site is very well run.

Overrated and disappointing VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Touring Pitches Aug 2025 Firstly, we thought we'd arrived at the wrong place.
The location is terrible right next to the very very busy A47. The traffic noise is continuous 24 hours a day. No mention of this on the listing.
Whilst we knew it was going to be busy at the site, nothing prepared us for the way the owners have packed campervans big and small, tents and tourers into every nook and crevice on the site. We were literally on top of each other, absolutely no privacy whatsoever.
I only wanted to stay 2 nights the Saturday and Sunday but they insisted I booked a minimum of 3 nights on the listing, so was forced into paying for a 3rd night on the Monday I did not want or need. Yet whilst we were at the site, we saw at least two site users come and go for one single night (not 3), so I feel cheated out of that 3rd night I paid for.
Generally speaking the site offers little that other sites of less 'stars' offer. I'm flabbergasted that this site claims to be 5 star compared to many other sites we have visited all over the UK. It's a very tired and tatty site that need serious remedial work.
The shower blocks were not great, the water timer on the showers are hilarious! The water dribbles out for around 3 seconds each time you press the tap. It's hilarious trying to get wet enough to shower.
We can confidently say with a level of assurance that we would never revisit this site again.
Interesting Medium Tent - Grass Camping Pitches (Optional Electric) Aug 2025 On arrival, we were shown to a pitch and set up our tent, the pitch was a good size and flat with electricity. As time went on, many more campers were arriving and it was getting crowded. I questioned the employee who was in charge of pitch allocation about the close proximity of units and the obvious safety problems ie: availability for emergency vacation of the site, the close pitching of units and access for emergency services. The guy said to just drive over the tents and began laughing hysterically. I'm not sure if he was joking or didn't care for safety regulations. The toilet blocks were adequate but only one block for a huge amount of units onsite.
The site was busy due to the Sandringham music festival taking place that weekend. I did find a smaller shower and toilet block but it was locked anytime I tried to use it.
We booked this site in order to go to the Stereophonics gig on Saturday night because it was the only site that had vacancies in the area. Most people I chatted to had similar views on the site and said they would not book again, nor would you I to be honest.
All in all, the site did what I needed. There was a lady working there who was from West Limerick who was extremely helpful when we had a problem with the electric on our pitch, very nice lady and fun to chat to. I have to say the reason I wouldn't book again is the somewhat cavalier approach to safety by the guy in charge of pitch allocation.
Does what is says on the tin
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Touring Pitches Aug 2025 Simple and basic but all that you need. Friendly staff, good size level pitches, on a major road in the area, which is a pro until you can hear bikes and boy racer cars at 3am.
Clean and ample facilities however, the shower push button only gives you about 8 seconds of shower time, which after a while gets a bit annoying.
We would stay again if we needed to visit or attend something in the area, but we probably wouldn't spend our holiday here because the area is not really what we would look for, for a holiday. Very convenient though for Sandringham and some wedding venues.
Overall a lovely stay.

Beautiful site, hidden away
Motorhome - Electric Grass Touring Pitches Aug 2025 We use the A47 a lot but never knew this site existed, a great find that we will use again in the future. They is some noise from the A47 but not enough to bother us or other campers that we spoke to.
The reception on arrival was an easy process and the lady was very informative about the site, the shop, local buses and the pitches.
Unlike a lot of hand-standing pitches, this was gravel and therefore fairly easy to get the awning pegs into. The pitches were kept clean and tidy and overall the site was well maintained.
The toilet blocks were kept as clean as practically possible and we saw the staff check these regularly (including approx 11pm on a particular night), showers had hot water and had plenty of room to hang your clothes, towels etc.
The shop was well stocked baring in mind it's size and the prices were reasonable (not supermarket obviously) but not extortionate either.
Well worth a visit and we will be going back.

Very slight criticism, as we were camping in a tent we were unfortunately the furthest away from the facilities and more lighting leading to them would have been beneficial. But this does not detract from a lovely visit and we would definitely use again, thanks.

Norfolk has fabulous beaches for dog I would recommend Old Hunstanton.
This was classed as a 5* campsite, which in my opinion it was not Motorhome - Hardstanding Pitches Dec 2024 This was classed as a 5* campsite, which in my opinion it was not. There were two areas, one behind a secure barrier for seasonal/permanent caravans and a rally field for tourers/tents/motorhomes.
The facilities block was always clean and there were plenty of showers and WC's. The showers were push button, they stayed on for approximately 15 seconds and were only Luke warm. There was also a laundry room and an indoor and outdoor pot wash area.
The reception area also housed a shop with a good range of essentials.
There is a bus service a 3 minute walk from the site to Kings Lynn, but there were only 2 buses each way in the morning. There is also an hourly bus service to Kings Lynn a 20min walk away down a country road.

Twin Axle Caravan - Hardstanding Pitches Oct 2024 The staff were friendly and helpful. The washroom facilities always clean and tidy. The only problem was the space between the caravans. It was a good base for traveling around site seeing.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Touring Pitches Sep 2024 Although we only stayed one night so we could try out our new campervan, we found the site to be very tidy and the shower/toilet block to be pristine. Value for money on a very level pitch. The site shop, which is open at all hours, is well stocked with everything you need and stuff you may have forgotten. Please visit and enjoy.

Nearby retail park on way to King's Lynn has supermarkets and shops like B&M or Range for other items. Site is clean and tidy with spacious pitches. Great toilet block and showers.
