Great site
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jun 2025 Great site, our first every time away in our first caravan and was made to feel very welcome.
Facilities were clean and maintained to the highest standard. Pitches also well maintained and clean and had zero issues!
Fantastic campsite
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches May 2025 When we arrived we were met by a very friendly and helpful lady. She explained everything about the site and directed us to our pitch.
It's a secure site as it has a barrier only accessible by a fob which you are given on arrival.
It's a very quiet site and has a small shop for the essentials.
There is a lovely local pub literally 5 minutes walk from the site.
100% recommend.
A new site in a different area we have not visited before
Single Axle Caravan - Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2025 First time we have visited this site, and we will be returning. An excellent and clean amenities block with friendly staff who always spoke to you as they were passing.
Across the road from the site there are several trails that can be explored by foot or bike, and they are very good for dog walking.
All in all, a very pleasant break.

Pitches too narrow Twin Axle Caravan - Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Feb 2025 Pitches too small.
We sadly went in February. Site far too wet even on the "hard standing". Roads too narrow to swing caravan and car to get onto pitch without getting pushed onto mud. Car didn't fit on pitch.
This needs to be fixed to make it an all year round site.
Walks and local pub are fantastic. This site could be so much better.

Excellent Christmas stay
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Dec 2024 The staff here are very friendly and accommodating, they were even working Christmas morning cleaning the facilities etc. An amazing feature of the facilities here are the large shower rooms, they were bigger than our bathroom at home in fact and kept spotlessly clean.
Just a suggestion if I may, the overhead showerheads (rather than a directional one on the wall) made it a little difficult for those of us who don't want to wash our hair every shower. It also it would have helped if the light timer was a bit longer when using the shower,. Fortunately, I was just about to exit the cubicle when the light went out, but a little longer would be better.
We loved all the walks from the site over the road and through the woods, especially being able to walk through to the Hardwick estate. We will definitely be returning.

VW-Type Campervan - Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Nov 2024 Easy check in, hardstanding pitch easy to park. There was a small shop for provisions, toilet, the shower block was very clean. There were facilities for any waste. There was a dog walking space just across the road to walk for miles. For me it was close to my son, I left early but this had nothing to do with the site. Very quiet, the dogs needed to be on a lead, which isn't a problem.
The Carnarvon pub was a little walk away, you can take your dog into a special area and still have a meal. The weather was not good, but hopefully I will be back when it warms up. It looks and feels like a very safe place for families, and Sutton in Ashfield is not far away for shopping. This was my first little trip but ideal for me. Thank you Silverhill.

Friendly helpful staff, great clean large wash facilities. Enjoy our stay, will be making effort to come back in future.
Nice campsite
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 First time camping so only went for 2 nights. I received a nice welcome. The campsite was nice and quiet, lovely and clean. Would highly recommend and hope to go back very soon.

Motorhome - Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Jun 2024 Everything was absolutely spot on. A small shop selling pretty much anything you may need. The shower block was immaculate. I met 3 different members of staff and each and everyone of them was so nice, friendly and helpful.

Lovely quiet very clean site
Small Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2024 Lovely, clean, quiet site, ideal for a bit of peace and relaxation. Fabulous dog walks just over the road, all locals seemed very friendly and chatty. 100% recommend to anyone wanting a 'me time' getaway.
Nice site with close access to walks
Single Axle Caravan - Serviced Hardstanding Pitches May 2024 Stayed here for 4 nights and had a great break. The staff were very friendly and helpfull. The shower rooms were a great feature but the toilet roll holder couldn't be reached whilst sat on the toilet.
Love serviced pitches and hard standing but hard standing needs to be wider for the awning.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2024 Lovely campsite. The chap that greeted us on arrival was so helpful and friendly. Cleanest bathrooms ever and nice little shop at reception for essentials. Very nice local pub down the road that does great food also some really nice walks nearby. Can’t fault it really. Would recommend.

Excellent location
Twin Axle Caravan - Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Mar 2024 Lovely friendly welcome at reception on arrival. We were told our pitch number, however it was not suitable for our Lusso and car so we were given an alternative which was much better suited and fully serviced.
The site itself is lovely - a mix of static caravans, seasonal pitches and touring pitches and very well maintained. The toilet/shower block was immaculately clean and lovely and warm, there was also a laundry room which we did not use. TV signal was good and the site's free WIFI was excellent.
Across the road was the Teversal Trails, a great walk for us dog lovers. The views are amazing and our dog loved the lakes. Due to the rain, our pooch got very muddy. Thankfully there is also a dog wash on site, which was good.
The Carnavon pub is 5 minutes walk, which is lovely and serves great food. Dogs are not allowed inside but there is a lovely beer garden and heated indoor seating area where they are.
We enjoyed our stay at Silverhill and will be back.
