Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 Lovely place with great staff. We found it to be the perfect spot for us. Just as described. We enjoyed the live music on Friday with some well priced cider. And the quiet the rest of the time. Could do with an extra toilet available but only had to wait a few times. We would definitely use this site again.
Amazing Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 Amazing stay for the price paid. Felt very safe, warm and welcomed. Lovely scenery and staff. Only downside was the toilets, there was one outside toilet during the night for all campers.
Also, no shower facilities that I was able to locate.
Apart from that, amazing stay and would definitely recommend and will be using again when in the area.
Weekend stay Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Touring Pitches Jul 2025 Perfect campsite in a beautiful location.
Can't fault it.
Fabulous and friendly campsite! Recommends site
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 We had a fantastic stay at this campsite for 2 nights in July.
The staff are super friendly and helpful and we had a lovely meal at the pub on our first night.
The campsite is in a great location to explore all the best spots in the Cotswolds. We visiting Clarksons Farm spots (which were super convenient to get to from the campsite) as well as local villages. We walked into Hook Norton which only took 30 minutes.
Would recommend to everyone and hope to be back soon.
Excellent campsite Recommends site
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Touring Pitches Jul 2025 Campsite on pub grounds, excellent play area for children (even though we didn't have children with us ).
The pub was clean and very popular, we had a peaceful nights sleep.
Would definitely recommend - the only thing is the ground is very uneven so need checks under the tyres to level off.
Good place Recommends site
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 First time on a campsite and it's fine, the pub is great and good food.
Close to Banbury and handy for the Cotswolds, fair price for the facilities.
One shower room at no extra charge, time it right and didn't have too wait to shower.
Great little stop Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 Very relaxed site with all the basic facilities you need, a pub that does tasty food, and a short drive from some great places.
When booking, they do explain there is a site that can be noisy early on next door, not much of an issue for us though. Enjoyed our stay here.
Charming place & lovely pub with a friendly and helpful chef Recommends site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 Charming setting and lovely pub with friendly staff & clientele, especially the chef.
Thank you and will definitely come again.
Nice campsite and location Recommends site
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Touring Pitches Jun 2025 A nice campsite and great food in the pub with lovely service too.
Toilet and shower facilities not the best but quite useable.
Great pub and campsite Recommends site
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Touring Pitches Jun 2025 We stayed to attend a party being held on their site. It is a well maintained campsite, limited facilities but clean and very friendly.
We will definitely use it as a pub stop over site in the future.
Perfect stay for single father and young son! Recommends site
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 We bought a tent two weeks prior to staying here and found this site online.
I was pleasantly surprised about how good it was and my son loved the play park. We ate in the pub on our first night and had breakfast the following morning there too. Food was great camp site was perfect for us!
It was so good for us we've booked to go next weekend too and explore the local area.
The facilities here are fine and more than adequate for campers! Value for money? Yes! Would I recommend it to others? Yes! Happy days indeed!!
Lively campsite Recommends site
Motorhome - Non Electric Grass Touring Pitches Jun 2025 Good stopover on our way home.
The site has minimal facilities but was clean. The pub is very busy so it was long waiting times for drinks and to ask about campsite related queries.
The staff were happy and worked really hard.
There was an event on the second night which we hadn't been informed about. It meant music on the site until the really hours so we cancelled our second night.
Great for short stay Recommends site
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 This is a nice campsite, on a slope so you need to pick carefully can get a bit windy.
Friendly people. Be warned, there is only one shower for the whole campsite the queue can be very long in the mornings. Also, only 2 toilets for the whole site when the pub is shut.
Does what it says on the tin Recommends site
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 A great location for our needs, a lovely pub inside and the garden was spacious.
There wasn't any information provided when we arrived, it was a 'just park up wherever you like'. We'd booked an electric pitch but were told we couldn't park up there until 6.30pm as there was a car show happening - which wasn't too much of an issue for us but a bit rude when we'd paid for the pitch and could've been parked there since 12pm.
We had no clue where the shower was, no information provided - it's the black door on the far right of the front of the pub. Not in a great condition but usable - although the hot water took an age to come through. And if you're non-electric and parked down the bottom of the site then it's literally the furthest point the shower/toilet could be from you.
My only other negative is the electric pitches back on to the local skip yard which started making noise well before 8am.
All in all, would stay again but would advise maybe a welcome pack for campers - just with a little information on about the pub, food times and local takeaways and where everything is.
Great place to stay Recommends site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 Great price & dog friendly. Lovely pub, great food & staff.
This site was half way between us, so a great place to meet up & socialise.
Excellent camping spot Recommends site
Extra Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 Excellent camping spot with great facilities and pub location. Booked this venue for a first experience camping and it did not disappoint.
Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend camping with my wife and dog. The location is perfect for travelling to nearby villages and feeling like you were in the middle of nowhere. Peaceful rural location with the pub on site made for a brilliant stay. Excellent food and brilliant service at the pub.
Would 100% stay again and recommend to anyone looking to visit nearby towns and villages as a perfect location. 30 minute drive to Clarkson's farm shop and the Farmer's Dog pub.
Lovely site Recommends site
Twin Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 Lovely site, great value and location.
Would highly recommend.
A wonderful place Recommends site
Single Axle Caravan - Non Electric Grass Touring Pitches Jun 2025 This a lovely place to stay. All the facilities you'll need, a lovely pub with great food and real ale.
All the staff were amazing, and bent over backwards when we needed to extend our stay due to unexpected family issues. Highly recommended.
Great stay Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches May 2025 One night stay, meeting up with friends, was great. Didn't use the toilet, shower facilities, we had our own.
Used the restaurant, friendly clean lovely food great atmosphere.
Thank you we will be back.
Gate Hangs High Recommends site
Motorhome - Electric Grass Pitches May 2025 Simple little site in the rear of a nice pub - food was good!
Clean toilets/showers and all the usual stuff you'd expect. Nice kids park in the beer garden!
Midweek stay VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2025 Having booked this site because of the location being right next to the pub, which clearly stated food was being served on a Wednesday, we were very disappointed to turn up and find that that was not the case.
We were told that food was only served Thursday through to Sunday and that Wednesday food availability is a mistake. The site itself does what it says on the tin, it is a small field with electric hook-ups available. The wet room style shower and toilet was clean and easy for an overnight stay. Good value for money but misleading.
Perfect Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2025 £12. Get what you pay for.
Perfect for me.
Great value camping Recommends site
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Touring Pitches May 2025 it was very relaxed, can pitch wherever you like. Was a great location and value for money, looked fantastic.
We were a bit disappointed on the state of the toilets and the shower. They weren't cleaned all weekend and didn't have any toilet paper for 2 out of 3 days, even after raising it in the pub. Apart from that, we had a great weekend.
Very popular and great set up for families. play area and beer garden to be enjoyed.
Ok, but a heads up would have been nice VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches May 2025 Arrived to a 30th birthday party with a live band 20 yards from pitch. Not a problem, loved the music. But a heads up would have been nice. "Grass electric hookup pitches" are half gravel and there was only one, as the others seem to be permanent caravans? Just told by staff to sort ourselves out. Only one shower for whole site.
Pitch next to us was up and loud until 4am. Nobody monitoring and nobody answered phone number, not great with two kids. Lovely pub and could have been an amazing stay.
Great stay Recommends site
Motorhome - Non Electric Grass Touring Pitches May 2025 We booked a grass pitch without EHU. The campsite is well looked after and facilities clean. The pub and staff are great.
Some areas are sloping so worth taking ramps. We thought the price was fine but £5 is quite a lot per night for a dog, so it might put us off staying for more than one night.
The TT car & bike night was brilliant and was the reason we chose to stay (3rd Tues of the month) but best avoided if you want, what would otherwise be, a nice quiet, rural spot.
The nearby Hook Norton brewery is well worth a visit.
