Lovely vacation

Remote location but close enough to local amenities by car. Surrounded by beautiful scenery and plenty to see. Would highly recommend trying this site. The communal cooking area is a lovely touch!
James, the site owner, is a lovely bloke, very helpful, and I will definitely return if we venture back to Dumfries & Galloway area.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2023 Great wee campsite, owners were welcoming on arrival. The site was fairly quiet during our stay so almost felt like wild camping but with the luxury of facilities! Loved having the dug out fire pit. They have bags of logs for £6 but I'd recommend bringing your own as they were very small (atleast half a bag of mostly kindling) but apart from that, all good. 😊

A much needed relaxing camping trip
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2022 Myself and my friend had an amazing time at this campsite.
Plenty of great spots to set up your tent with loads of places to have a fire going. With two large covered areas to cook or relax under if it gets a bit to windy or rainy at the tent. The toilet and shower facilities were great as well with 5 toilets and 2 showers, so there's plenty so you're not waiting. 4 places to wash pots and pans with fresh drinking water taps. I can't think of anything else the campsite would need.
Lovely laid back site
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2022 No fuss, campsite is ideal for tent campers. Love the birds and animals. Has everything you need, even baskets for clothes in the shower.
Gem of a find
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2022 Total random find online, and was well worth it. Stunning location, facilities were plentiful and so clean. Everyone was friendly and helpful. As a very inexperienced camper the most important thing was the toilets etc, and I wasn't disappointed. Definitely going back. Highly recommended.
Fab family break Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2022 What a campsite, 1st time camping in Scotland and so glad we chose this campsite.
Just a beautiful, well-maintained site with fab scenery all around. So warm and friendly and the facilities were great with lots of lovely little details. Kids are just 1 and 6 and they loved it. So much to do and see just a short car journey away too.
We will be back.

This is a quiet site but you can sit outside all night if you wanted, as long as you respect the other campers and you keep your voices down!
The perfect detox site
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2022 Although I only stayed for 2 nights it was the perfect wind down for me. A lovely welcome when I arrived, beautiful pitch with picnic table and fire pit and loads of facilities if the weather was not kind (thankfully didn't have to use these). Great vibe and very chilled out stay. I will definitely be back.

Yurt - The Yurt Jul 2022 Fantastic little campsite where we stayed in the yurt. Despite the bad weather it was comfortable and nice. The owner James was just wonderfully friendly. There is so much attention given to make the place look beautiful and welcoming!
