Great site - really clean
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jun 2025 The cleanest campsite we stayed in throughout our ten night tour. Great shower and loo facilities, both men's and ladies.
15 minute walk to the bus stop along a narrow road with no pavement and not really a walkable pub only downside. Owners were super helpful and lovely.

Lovelly site
VW-Type Campervan - Large Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 Very clean site good sized pitches, facilities very good and look brand new, reception staff were very helpful however, it was unfortunate I didn't catch his name, but he was able to advise on the best route into Edinburgh.
Stayed here before returning to Cornwall. The site is in a rural area and the campsite give routes to some local walks that are really pleasant. It's near to Edinburgh airport and was able to view planes taking off in the evening but not noisy enough to be an issue.
All round a very pleasant site and would definitely book to stay again.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jun 2025 First time on this site made a pleasant change from local hotels.
Great shower blocks with one or two niggles that could be easily fixed. Some of the showers have less than five seconds of water delivered before you have to press the button again. Position of toilet light sensor is poor as light will go off if you are in a cubicle. These are just niggles as overall, the washing and toilet facilities are excellent.
The position of the site is fantastic with some lovely walks nearby and the scenery fantastic on the dog walk. Kitchen area is very useful but numerous people asked where to put compostable as it was not obvious. Great little shop.#
Pitches are well serviced and positioned.

The site was clean and peaceful.

Motorhome - Large Electric Grass Pitches May 2025 Great location, only 15 mins from the airport or 30 mins into the city. Still felt very rural, although you do get the planes flying quite close (but they didn't disturb us).
Toilets and showers very clean and good, staff very friendly, handy to have a shop with essentials + toys for kids. The playground was a touch - really helped us to keep the kids busy whilst we packed up the van!
If I had to pick a negative, it would be that the grey waste disposal was not a drive-over situation so we had to empty our tank jug by jug (parked next to it). Probably more us being van novices - there was probably some of pipe we could have used if we had known how. Other campsites could drive over the drain which just made life simple.
It's barely a negative though. Would definitely stay again!
Friendly and convenient
Small Tent - Large Electric Grass Pitches May 2025 Me and my 8 year old son stayed only one night, as we had an appointment in Edinburgh and had booked Go Ape the following morning. This site was convenient for both. Check in was easy and hassle free. There were lots of kids around my son's age for him to play with and he enjoyed the play area. The toilets and showers were clean and modern. We were both very happy with our stay.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches May 2025 We stayed for one night - we arrived late as we'd been stuck in traffic but called the park to let them know and they were very accommodating.
When we arrived, we were met by a super friendly lady. The site itself is located in a nice spot and only a 4 mile drive to the park and ride into Edinburgh centre, which is ideal. The shower block was very clean and the shared catering facilities were ideal. We'd booked a hard standing electrical pitch but unfortunately, our lead didn't reach to the electric outlet, we did call the emergency mobile number to see if we'd be able to move pitch but there was no answer - it wasn't a massive deal as we could use the shared kitchen area.
We'd defo stay here again.

Found all facilities so very clean and amazed by the showering and toilet facilities. Check out also very smooth and well-handled.
Definitely would recommend.

VW-Type Campervan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches May 2025 Cannot recommend Linwater highly enough.
It was located perfectly for our needs. A quiet rural location but a 10 minute walk into the village gets you on a bus that runs approximately every half hour directly into centre of Edinburgh.
If you a have a dog they're welcome on the bus, and for dog walking you can walk directly off the campsite onto a footpath that takes you to Lin Mill viaduct for a really beautiful walk.
The campsite itself is very clean and tidy with new and modern facilities. Fully equipped with everything you could need. The staff were all very friendly, welcoming and helpful.
We will definitely be returning here.

Very impressive
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2025 A lovely site. Some very impressive facilities, clearly quite new.
The only disappointment was that my wife returned from the toilet, late in the evening and stated that there was not a single loo roll in the whole building. She checked all of the dispensers but found nothing.

l stayed 3 nights and enjoyed our stay. There are some lovely walks nearby, the whole area is very picturesque.
Downsides to the park, local council have left the roads in a terrible state of disrepair with potholes everywhere. We were sited next to the children's play area. We are in our late 50s and found it a little noisy at times. My wife went to use the toilets on two occasions and found toilet roll had ran out?
