Clear filters Shepherd’s Hut - Birch
Shepherd's Hut - Shepherd's Huts Jun 2025 Very comfortable shepherds hut and really well equipped with furniture outside.
Hired a fire pit, which was so relaxing sitting outside in the evening. Really clean toilets and showers which are close by.
Thoroughly enjoyed staying at Shepherd's Rest, hope to be back!

Fantastic spot
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Campervan Pitches Jun 2025 Shepherds Rest is a quality campsite with clean toilets and showers. The lady we met was most welcoming, showing us around all the facilities. Shepherd's Rest keeps in mind environmental issues, encouraging us to adhere.
We had a lovely walk around the surrounding area, this is a site I'm sure we'll return to.

Great camping spot
Aug 2024 A wonderful camping spot in a beautiful area of Scottish borders.
Great site with absolutely lovely owners who have created a lovely atmosphere.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and adventure around the borders, lots to see and do with the friendliest of welcomes from everyone we came across.
Beautiful beaches, great swimming, lovely towns and walking. Three days wasn't long enough so will be back soon!

Great wee campsite
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Campervan Pitches May 2024 Great wee campsite, clean facilities. Stayed 2 nights (no hook-up) on grass campervan pitch - good that our son stayed in adjacent tent area. Host was very friendly and helpful. Nice touch with the little barn lounge and quirky camping huts. Great, quiet location - not too far from Berwick and A1 - would recommend.

Peaceful stay
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Campervan Pitches Apr 2024 Really nice facilities and extremely clean. Very friendly helpful owners. Took the bus into Berwick from bottom of road which worked well . Great stay for a couple of nights.

Fabulous getaway
Shepherd's Hut - Shepherd's Huts Apr 2024 The shepherd's hut is in a great location and handy for exploring Berwick and the Scottish borders.
The location was peaceful and beautiful. Our hut was immaculate, as were the facilities.
Alison was welcoming and helpful, and took the time to introduce us to Katie the pony!

Great short break in a peaceful location
Shepherd's Hut - Shepherd's Huts Oct 2023 My first stay in a shepherd's hut and at the farm, and I was not disappointed.
Greeted by Alison for my two night stay, who was warm and friendly. The hut itself is small, but well equipped, and the separate toilets and showers were just a short wall away and immaculately clean.
Berwick-upon-Tweed is a 15 minute drive away, and the area around the farm is stunning.

Perfect, peaceful camping
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Campervan Pitches Oct 2023 Our kind of campsite. Lovely host made us feel very welcome. Facilities very clean and comfortable. Lovely setting and had a very sound sleep!
Very convenient for a base to explore a broad area covering Borders, South East Scotland and North East England. We will definitely come back.

Delightful campsite in quiet, rural location
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Campervan Pitches Aug 2023 Really nice set-up for campervans, tents and shepherds' huts. Friendly owner responds to phone call on arrival. Facilities are all modern and clean. Very quiet farmland spot with incredibly dark skies at night.
The rented fire-pits produce a great atmosphere in the early evening! Recommended.

Fabulous small site
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Campervan Pitches Aug 2023 This is a fabulously peaceful and beautiful small campsite in a really interesting (& dark sky) part of the Borders.
The facilities are clean and well-maintained and (at the time of writing) new. It's one of the loveliest places we've ever stayed.
We booked it because it was a convenient stop-over on our way North but for sure, we'll be back for a longer stay.

Charming campsite, clean and friendly VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Campervan Pitches Aug 2023 A quiet campground and a very friendly host. There are two toilet blocks (loo and shower) and one loo 'in the field'. It certainly is the most charming loo I have seen in Scotland!

Peaceful, friendly and clean
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Campervan Pitches Jul 2023 A beautiful peaceful site. We arrived in our motorhome and were welcomed straight away by Alison, who was very friendly.
We had an allocated site which was great in case we needed to drive off for a few hours. The toilets and showers are immaculate. There was an area where we could wash up and there was bug spray etc supplied by the owners for campers to use if necessary. The EHU is catered toward those with tents as it is low voltage, campervans need their own power, but that was no problem for a few nights on a leisure battery.
The countryside was beautiful and nicely off the beaten track, nice peaceful, and quiet.
I would definitely return.
