Great spot!

My daughter and I stayed here after a day at Wookey Hole (worth a visit!). As it's winter it was quiet. The EHU was easy and I didn't use as much as I'd prepaid for, so I was refunded, very easy. The toilets were clean and convenient. My daughter (7) loved the kids play area.

Amazing

Petruth Paddocks is highly recommended, the owners couldn't have done anymore to help us, I dropped them an email and they made special arrangements to accommodate my husband's illness. The owners were very friendly and always had time to stop for a chat. Well kept site, toilets/showers were clean. Looking forward to going back when the weather is a bit better so we can enjoy being outside and having campfires with neighbouring pitches.

Lovely staff & great site

Staff are really friendly & helpful. Facilities are good and there's plenty of space for those with dogs.

This is a great site. They have it totally spot on. Hot power showers, clean. Hard stands with EHU. Shop. Dog friendly. Keep it up guys. Deffo recommend.

Fabulous campsite

We really enjoyed our stay at Petruth. It has great facilities, it is well maintained and kept clean at all times. The fields are large with plenty of space between pitches and the views of the hills and the sunsets make it quite picturesque. On top of all that, the staff we met were friendly and helpful, and we can't wait to return :-)

Family stay

Super friendly host, really felt welcome. Really clean, lovely shower and toilet block. Nice coffee and breakfast on site (also do other food on the evening too). Walking distance to Cheddar (not on busy roads). So pubs, restaurants and activities close by. Will 100% be back. Great little find!

Great first time with my partner and dog

This was the first time camping since I was a child and took my partner and dog, both of which have never been camping (no pressure to set the tone). We arrived roughly when we said we would, we were met by a lady who was super kind and helpful and told me everything I might need to know. I requested a quiet pitch as it's the first time with my dog and wasn't too sure how he would react to it, she spoke to a man who I believe was possibly the owner/manager about finding us a good pitch and he said he knew just the spot for us. He showed us to our pitch, which was nice and tucked away. As we were setting up, some of the guys came around with the fire pits and logs, which we purchased. Again, super friendly and helpful! Everyone at the site was friendly and we had a great time. Will 100% be coming back and recommending to friends and family!

Our week

Had a good week, weather wasn't the best, but all facilities were well looked after and the location gave us access to plenty of places.

Lovely site

A lovely friendly site. They've thought of everything, excellent toilet and shower facilities, spotlessly clean. They have thought of every detail, even shelves & hooks in showers and by mirror in toilets. Little on site shop has everything you need including beer and cider. There's a lovely little brewery next door. Only 10 mins walk into the town and 20 mins to the gorge itself. Lots of space between pitches. Very well organised campsite.

Amazing one night stay

My 6 year old grandson, in his words, had the best day of his life. Had a wonderful stay which felt very natural and relaxed.

Great site

Great site, booked on the day. Great takeaway Thai and burgers etc. Shop a bit limited but Cheddar is only twenty min walk through a cycle track. Car boot next door. Big pitches. Mobile ice cream van goes around. Fire pits with logs to hire. Will return.

Lovely, relaxing, family site

Staff were amazing already to help and made you very welcome. Well situated site, 10 min walk from Cheddar. Good clean toilet facilities, but did queue for showers due to a full site over bank holiday weekend. Pitches, well, very big. They say it's a free range site and I don't think you could it explain it any better, the kids just run around and play even well behaved dogs can just chill off leads. Food vans on site, good quality but breakfast's a bit pricey.

Great place

We came with family and friends. It was our first time but they have been before. What a clean and well-looked-after site, our toilets and shower cubicles were kept really clean. Will be returning with them again next year.

Fabulous campsite with amazing staff and location

Amazing stay. Great place with fantastic friendly staff. Ended up staying an extra night. Toilets and showers are spotless. Great location nice 10 minute walk into Cheddar. Great van serving breakfast and drinks. Well done all, we'll be back! xx

Brilliant campsite

A great stay

A wonderful campsite, family friendly, great staff. Love free range camping with hot powerful showers.

Fab place to stay!

Can't say enough to compliment the place and staff our stay was amazing, the kids loved it. Staff were well presented and they took pride with everything they did. There's plenty to do around the area within walking distance and driving for only about 20 mins takes you to Wooky Hole, which was great value. Food on site every day for breakfast and the Friday and sat night was pizza and burgers which were great. From our arrival to our departure you could see how well run this place is. Once again staff were amazing.

First time on a campsite!

First time on a campsite. Hired a motorhome and was impressed with the site. Jules was brilliant with the kids, driving them around for a bit of fun.

Convenient and easy

Nice, friendly campsite. Fairly large but spread across different fields, so doesn't feel too busy. Very convenient for visiting Cheddar.

Lovely campsite!

We had a 2 night stay in a quiet field, which was super lovely. Especially enjoyed the Cheddar Ales Brewery & Tap House, just 5 mins thru the gate! Loved that Jules the owner was out on his bike checking we were ok & the fire pit truck visiting!

Lovely campsite

It's a really nice campsite, and staff are very helpful. There is breakfast in the mornings, burgers in evenings, pizza on Fridays - even a classic car show on Sunday morning that has things for kids to do as well. It's only 5 min walk into Cheddar and have everything you need not far away. The firepits are a really nice idea and even provide firewood as well.

A lovely friendly and clean site.
