Clear filters Just perfect
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2022 The perfect base for a weekend on the Suffolk coast - with beaches at Covehithe, Walberswick and Dunwich a short drive away and the Five Bells in Wrentham for dinner, what more could you want. Nicky was fabulously welcoming and the site was well kept and immaculate - much like the facilities! We'll be back for a short break again I'm sure.

Great stay with a great host
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2022 I got back from my stay at Field Farm Fisheries today and I loved every second of it. The owner was extremely friendly and gave me so many nice suggestions of what to do while I was in the area. I was also provided with all the information I needed to make my stay seamless. The campsite was relatively quiet for a bank holiday weekend and I would absolutely come back again if I was ever in the area.

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2022 Lovely, large, well-maintained campsite. Friendly, welcoming and helpful owner who was available throughout the day and evening. The facilities were clean and checked throughout the day. You can choose where to pitch- within reason and within your allocated field - and because the owners do not overcrowd the site, you have plenty of space and privacy. Great location for visiting Southwold and Lowestoft. Will definitely return!

Great place to stay
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2022 We had a lovely 2 nights away. Lovely and peaceful grounds, toilets and showers were spotless, will definitely be returning. The owners are lovely and friendly. All in all, a great place to stay.

Good campsite, attentive owner enjoyable stay. Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2022 The owner was very attentive, and a good source of knowledge on the local area. The camp site was clean and well maintained. The fishing on site was good, the 6 small lakes were well stocked with a good variety of fish and some good size specimen fish.
The only downside was no facility to freeze ice packs. Other than that, I would definitely recommend this site, and stay there again.

Thank you for your review. We have tried freezing ice packs in the past, but people found it inconvenient if they couldn't find me when wanting them back, if I'm dealing with another customer.

Amazing stay
Trailer Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2022 I felt extremely welcomed and 4 of us stayed for 4 nights for an amazing price, and we are sad to be leaving such a beautiful area.

Everything you need is within close range of driving and the owner is lovely - made us and our puppy feel very welcome.

Lovely family fishing holiday
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2022 6 fantastic ponds in scenic surroundings, accessible and enjoyable fishing for all ages. Well stocked with a variety of carp and even a few giant goldfish! Will definitely be staying again.

Overall a really nice stay with great fishing Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2022 We had a had a weekend here and thoroughly enjoyed it. Here is my list of the pros and cons of the site:
The pros would be the excellent fishing and cheap fishing and a bait shop on site. It's great value for money, it's in a great location with beautiful scenery, there is a calm and relaxed vibe, we were able to pitch where we wanted, there's always someone around to help you, and it's very easy to find - only 10 mins from both Lowestoft and Southwold beaches.
There are beautiful fishing ponds with lots of species and sizes of fish. The ponds were really nicely kept. My partner caught 18 fish (7 different species) in about 2 and a half hours
It's also not crowded, had enough people to give it a nice atmosphere but we had plenty of space and there was minimal noise.
However we thought the toilets were fairly dirty, showers were also quite unclean, and tap by toilets had a very weak flow. Shower block was also a mission away from non electric camping...
We were woken up in the morning both days by a nearby rooster (around 6am) and the ground was extremely hard (not the sites fault as we have had some unprecedentedly hot weather) but it made it very difficult to put up windbreaks.
Overall we would come back as we had a great time and I cannot stress how lovely the fishing ponds and outside areas are!

The shower blocks and toilets are clean each day and checked regularly throughout the day which our other reviews will confirm. If we put in brick buildings in your camping fees will be considerably more expensive. The facilities we have at the moment are clean, showers are powerful and do their job. They had a part refit in winter with new toilets, new sinks and new floors.
You are told on arrival that the furthest tap is a little bit slower than the rest, but there are plenty of other taps to use.
If you were woken up by a Cockerel in the morning it would be from at least four fields away. Unfortunately there's nothing we can do about that and none of our other customers have ever commented on this. As you have stated, the ground is very hard but this is due to the weather conditions and all campsites are finding the same problem.
We are happy that you have said you've enjoyed the site and would love to see you return

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2022 Lovely and quiet. Plenty of space between pitches. Fishing ponds are well stocked and good size fish. Perfect location for visiting Southwold (well worth a visit).
Nicky and Ash were very welcoming and friendly.

Peaceful, clean and beautifully natural
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2022 Good site with a friendly and informative owner. Very peaceful and relaxing with beautifully set fishing lakes. The fishing was excellent with well-stocked pools and plenty of pegs. Would recommend this site. The facilities were basic, but there was always hot water for showers at any time of day and very clean. Plenty of good places to visit a drive away.
