Clear filters Peaceful Stay before School Holidays
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric All Weather Hardstanding Pitches (Quiet Area) Jun 2025 We had a peaceful 2 night stay on our tour of mid and south Wales. The quite area was supper quiet. I'm sure it's more lively when the children are off school with a bar being open ect. but we enjoyed the peace and quiet but not the attention of the clegg flies! use repellent if they are in season.

Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches (Family) Jun 2025 What a great campsite. Me and my 2 sons (aged 4 and 13) booked a last minute trip here and being only 35 minutes away from me, I thought we would give this place a try.
Having a new tent, I rung the owner up early to see if I could pitch the tent earlier than the time I was supposed to have checked in. Her response was 'no problem at all'. I was there at 11am and the owners couldn't do enough for me. The toilets were spotless, in fact, the whole campsite was spotless.
Myself and my children would 100% go there again and can't wait until we get out again. Great campsite, would highly recommend.

Motorhome - Electric All Weather Hardstanding Pitches (Adult Only) May 2025 Such an easy site to get to from any direction, it was peaceful, relaxing and the bar was a great addition.
Plenty of places to walk, and the river is absolutely stunning.
Will definitely return to this site and recommend it.

Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches (Quiet Area) Oct 2024 We felt very welcome, we loved the warm and super clean facilities. The bar(n) was friendly and atmospheric.
Super friendly campsite
Sep 2024 The site is clean and well managed. The owner's made you feel welcome and ensured you had everything you needed.
They even offered to pick up items from the shops for us. The showers etc are excellent. There was always plenty of very hot water on demand.
Usually we use the facilities in our motor home, but on this site we used the site facilities 100%.
The beauty of the site is that it caters for adults separated from families if so desired. I will definitely be back.
Short but lovely stay and we will return
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Pitches (Adult Only) Sep 2024 We unfortunately only stayed two nights and headed out to Gower for our main day out. We loved Three Cliffs Bay beach and walked for miles.
The site was great and a last minute pitch move made us very happy. The location is great if you drive out for the day but not very close to amenities. Tony was so helpful in advising places to visit and even offered driving us to the pub and back. Thanks Tony.

Nice but not great Motorhome - Fully Serviced All Weather Hardstanding Pitches (Family) Sep 2024 Nice views though disappointed to find the park is sandwiched between some busy roads. Whilst noise is low in evenings and at night, it's very clearly audible early morning and through day.
Only one shower block based on the lower field, so not easily accessible from other fields via stairs and disappointed to find rubbish over pitch with rotting fruit, resulting in wasps and husband getting stung. Due to weather, which is no fault of the site, the dog walk was a mud bath.

A great base to explore from
Extra Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches (Family) Aug 2024 There's not much to do around the site such as walks. However, it's a great base to travel to wherever you want as it's just off the M4. The instructions to get to the site are spot on
The toilets and shower block was always clean and the showers are hot. It's peaceful and everyone respected the keep the noise down after 10:30 rule. Great stay and the weather was ok too!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Didn't realise electric was metered but our error for not reading details properly. We didn't mind paying the few pounds extra at the end of our stay. WiFi was not working for us.
Unusual bin/rubbish situation so check with reception for details. Bin area was very full and on the floor, but manager rectified the problem straight away.

The owners keep this site clean, tidy and well managed.
We were positioned in a large pitch with a hook up. We had neighbours but we all had our own space on the adult side. There is a separate side for families with children, which meant we could all enjoy our holiday, including children.
The facilities are kept spotless and they cater for able bodied as well as disabled. There is a shop on site and a bar, with opening hours displayed. We really enjoyed our stay and we would recommend it to others.

Single Axle Caravan - Electric All Weather Hardstanding Pitches (Quiet Area) Jun 2024 As this was my first outing with a caravan, I don't have not much to compare to. The site was great with an on-site bar and good clean facilities.
There was very limited mobile reception and although advertised as free Wi-Fi. It didn't reach my plot. Unfortunately, the quiet area was not so quiet either. The on site shop could have more essentials like milk/ bread, as site is quite rural.
But overall, was a lovely place to stay.
Pretty as a picture
Single Axle Caravan - Fully Serviced All Weather Hardstanding Pitches (Family) Jun 2024 This is a really pretty little site, broken into 3 small paddocks each with its own unique charm.
We were on the top field just below the large dog walking field. We had plenty of space, each pitch has its own hard standing and grass with a pretty view over a central grassed area with a small children's playpark. The site has only 2 showers per bathroom but having said that I was only ever the only person in at one time. The bathrooms are absolutely spotless with the hottest water of any site I've been on.
The site caters for caravans, motorhomes and has its own camping pods for hire. It even has a bar on site that opens in busy periods. There is a small brook at the bottom of the site and pretty walks by the stream.
I loved this site and would certainly recommend it but be aware that you have to choose carefully which electric appliances to have on at any one time as it is only 10amp. If you need to dry your hair wait to boil the kettle, it isn't a problem it is just a case of juggling and patience. There are loads of fabulous beaches and gardens and beautiful villages to visit.

Convenient but not very relaxing Single Axle Caravan - Fully Serviced All Weather Hardstanding Pitches (Family) Jun 2024 First impressions were good. We had a nice couple of nights (booked for 4 nights). The site wasn't busy and the limited shower facilities coped well. The close proximity to two main roads did mean that there was quite a lot of traffic noise but other than that, it was perfectly fine.
A large group arrived on the third day and things got very noisy! Music playing and lots of kids making a lot of noise until 11pm. It was due to this that we decided to leave a day early (not refunded). Note, the rules stated no groups, but this seemed to be ignored during our stay.
I'm afraid that due to these issues, I'm unable to recommend this site.
Wildlife and tranquility
VW-Type Campervan - Electric All Weather Hardstanding Pitches (Adult Only) Jun 2024 A tranquil site with plenty of opportunity to observe the wildlife. We saw a plethora of birds including very friendly robins, heron and chaffinches and squirrel during our stay.
Staff were helpful and friendly.
Facilities were accessible and clean.
Joe's Ice cream was a bonus!

Motorhome - Electric All Weather Hardstanding Pitches (Quiet Area) May 2024 We had booked for 2 nights and thanks to Tony, were able to elongate our stay for another night even though it was up to the bank holiday weekend.
We enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and the very clean facilities. It was no problem to bring our two dogs to the site. We would love to come back anytime.

Wonderful weekend at River View
Twin Axle Caravan - Electric All Weather Hardstanding Pitches (Family) Mar 2024 We stayed at River View Touring Park over the Easter bank holiday as a family of 4 in a touring caravan on an electric, hard-standing pitch.
We couldn't fault anything with the site and had a great stay.
When we arrived we had a few difficulties with the electric supply into the caravan (our fault, we had tripped it) which was quickly rectified with the help of the owners who went above and beyond to make sure we were sorted, despite it being a very busy time for them.
The site itself was quiet and we had a peaceful few nights sleep. The location suited us as a base to explore the area, with beaches and walks not far away. Swansea is also not far away with plenty going on for children and lots of places to eat.
Whilst we were there, the owners had organised for a local caterer for two evenings who served up burgers, hotdogs etc from their own farmed beef & pork and for breakfast one morning - delicious and a really nice touch. We especially loved the bar area too which is cosy and well laid out, with a log burner, dart board and plenty of seating.
There is a shower block with two showers and several toilets. This was kept immaculately clean and lovely and warm with underfloor heating. Never had to wait for the shower either despite the site being full.
There is a small shop on site and a launderette if needed. There are several water supply and waste disposal areas dotted around the site so you don't have to walk far. The site is really thoughtfully laid out and a lovely walk takes you around the top and side, through the woods to stretch your legs or walk dogs.
Would highly recommend to families or couples and would love to come back to River View.

Facilities are fabulous, hot showers, clean toilets. Site is next to the river which is so serene. The owners have clearly put a lot of thought into the place as everything you need is here, including a laundry room, fresh water and an Elsan point.
The only gripe I had was the road leading into the site is probably used as a quiet hideaway for motorists to enjoy their takeaways and leave their rubbish. I would have to clean up this up if it were my business, although perhaps owners are unaware of this.
