Superb site, very nicely laid out with level hardstanding pitches, and the shower and toilet block were very clean and well maintained. A very peaceful location, within walking distance of the village and pub. Would happily stay again.

Woodlands

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our two night break at Woodlands. We found the site to be very peaceful and relaxed, just what I needed after suffering three heart attacks earlier in the year. The site is very well maintained and the cleanliness of the facilities is outstanding. We didn't try the tea room but did have a fantastic evening meal at The Hafod, a short walk from the site and booking is recommended as they were fully booked on the Saturday night. A very positive experience all round.

Excellent site

Fantastic site used it for touring. Everything about it was good. Not a single complaint.

Lovely campsite with great facilities

Can't fault our stay even in a wet weekend when the rain literally did not stop the shower block was always clean. The site is well lit in the nights too feel safe but not that it keeps you awake. The tea room on site was brilliant serving a group of 10 fantastic food, we all thoroughly enjoyed our chosen meals. The staff were very accommodating and attentive when we returned for an evening drink as well.. somewhere other than the gazebo to have a drink and chat. Will definitely return.

Lovely site

We really enjoyed the site it had good size plots, it was well looked after with lovely views. The toilets were modern and very clean, and there were some nice walks around the site.

Absolutely brilliant

From booking till we left, everything was fantastic. Great staff who were really helpful and knowledgeable. The pitch was extremely tidy and level, and the facilities were the cleanest we have ever seen. Absolutely brilliant, thank you.

Amazing location with lots of amenities

Had a three night stay and it was amazing. We enjoyed a lot. Our kids had amazing time as well, the playground kept them occupied. Lots of walking trails around to opt for and friendly staff.

Weekend break

Lovely campsite. Good location, walking distance to Devils Bridge and Hafod hotel. Excellent facilities, lovely tearoom. Spacious site but quiet and relaxed vibe.

Quiet couple days

A great location and great size pitches. We were in a large motorhome. The washrooms were five star. My only negative is there's no camp shop . A very small few things in the coffee shop when open, 3 miles from the shop if you forgot butter!

Perfect site!

Perfect site to stop whilst exploring the surrounding areas. So much room, so you're not cramped together like lots of other sites! The surrounding views are stunning, caught quite a few sunsets and sunrises whilst there! The facilities are perfect - lovely café with delicious food, and a shop which stocks all of your essentials. The toilet/shower block was the nicest we have ever stayed in! So clean, modern and just lovely.

Lovely site

Lovely site, nicely laid out, spacious pitches, quiet and scenic. The facilities are excellent, showers and toilets were immaculate and fab quality. The staff take serious pride in their cleaning standards and it shows! We're definitely going again.

Excellent site

Stayed at Woodlands Caravan Park for our first venture with our newly converted campervan. If all the sites are as good as this one we our certainly going to enjoy our camper. The site is spotless, the staff are all friendly and very helpful. Will certainly be going back to the site for a longer stay.

Perfect

An excellent find. We were in a motorhome on hardstanding, which was level and the plots are large. The shower blocks were clean, modern and spacious. The onsite cafe served excellent food and the cakes were delicious! The cafe has a small shop with essentials and some gifts. A 5 minute walk from Devil's Bridge and a pub/restaurant/hotel. Perfect spot for refreshments after completing the 675 steps down and back up from the waterfall. We didn't eat there, but food is available.

Great place

Great site. Beautiful exhibition of statues and agricultural equipment. Sheep everywhere around.

Spacious site with excellent facilities block

While not holiday park size, it is a large spacious site with good Wi-Fi coverage across the majority of the site, which was handy as mobile phone service on our O2 network was non existent. The pitch size was adequate, we were on an allocated grass electric pitch, which was not the most level we have encountered but manageable. The grass entrance to the upper field camping area we were based soon became heavily rutted, as vehicles came and went after some heavy rainfall. This could easily have addressed by a layer of hardcore being fanned out near the field entrance, however, only a small number of vehicles had difficulty exiting the camping field. The toilet and amenities block were modern and kept extremely clean during our stay. However, there were electrical problems during the last few days of our stay which resulted the whole block being without lighting throughout the night on at least two nights while we were there. This led to the use of a torch being mandatory if using the toilet facilities at night. Be aware that there is little to no food provisions sold on site, so bring your own for your first night. Furthermore, the cafe, which also acts as the site shop, tended to close around 4:00pm so again, just be aware and don't expect to find a meal at the site shop after this time. Overall and in general, the site was well maintained and what staff we did speak to were friendly and helpful. Facilities were clean, Wi-Fi good and the pitches large enough to accommodate most units.

Super welcoming

Loved the organisation and communication ahead of time from this site. It meant we could tour Wales without having to worry about arriving by 6/7 etc.

Fantastic day

We had a fantastic day at Woodlands, lovely location. Fantastic cafe, very friendly, nice staff and lots for the kids to do. Lovely walks, lovely pub round the corner - would definitely come again. Highly recommend.

A tradition holiday

Stayed at woodland caravan park August 2024. Nice site, very spacious in between tents. Facilities were lovely, very clean and tidy, on site cafe served lovely food, staff were very friendly and informative. Plenty to do outside the camp. If going into Aberystwyth I would advise you to book somewhere for food as it's very busy. I would recommend this campsite.

Amazing stay, lovely campsite

One of the best family campsites we have stayed on. Staff were very friendly and helpful, facilities were always kept very clean, location was good for exploring the surrounding areas, devils bridge/waterfall is just a short walk from the site. Overall a very good and very clean campsite an would recommend. Will definitely be heading back there in the future.

Pleasant stay with brilliant facilities

The site itself was very good and very clean. The toilets/shower facilities are fantastic and kept spotless. Other sites charge you for using showers, these had no charge and were brilliant. The site staff were helpful on arrival and even lent us an extension for our hook up. The site store doesn't stock much and closes at 5pm so that meant a 25 minute drive into Aberystwyth to go to the shops. Excellent site with great facilities. Only negative for me was the site shop wasn't great and location to nearest shop, which I was aware of when booking.

We recommend that you stock up with food and drinks before you arrive but there is a well stocked Premier Shop/Garage 3 miles down the road if a trip to Aberystwyth is a bit too far.

Beautiful site!

We stayed just one night and really liked it here. Nice big pitch and the facilities were great - really clean and tidy. Just next to Devils Bridge and Waterfall walk - perfect family walk on a nice day. We'd stay here again if in the area.

First time visit

Very nice site, clean facilities and helpful friendly staff. Great to have the café on-site and with music entertainment. Only downside was the large noisy party who didn't care much for the other guests.

Thank for taking time to review Woodlands Caravan Park. We are so sorry your time with us was marred by noisy neighbours. We do have a warden who does a noise check around 10pm but unfortunately, sometimes noise levels rise again after the warden goes to bed! Please do contact the warden on the camping field if you make a return visit and this happens again, we will ensure the noise levels are kept down.

Busy family campsite

Really nice family campsite. Busy but really good. Great facilities. Washing up area, microwave, laundry room, fridge and freezer. Lovely shower and toilet block.
