Great campsite in a breathtaking location
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jul 2023 Idyllic location and great facilities.
We arrived late and only stayed one night, but the shower facilities, kitchen and laundry room were all spotless and in great working order.
Electrical hookup and hardstanding plot pitch were easily accessible and our host was very friendly.
We wish we could have stayed longer.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jun 2023 Outstanding campsite. A little bit away from the town but with a great river walk and restaurant nearby.
The facilities were well maintained and very clean.
Great place Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2023 Great camping site with clean facilities. It got a bit busier on Friday, but overall, our stay was enjoyable. Not many walking paths near by.
Nice spot - not always great if a light sleeper Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jun 2023 Bala is a lovely place and the site is in a good location near to a water sports centre and walk trails you could pick up along the river.
Staff member was lovely on arrival. We stayed on a hard standing pitch next to the river. Although the surroundings are lovely, if you are a light sleeper the river could keep you awake. It flows fast and is noisy.
The facilities are kept clean. The site isn't very big. The main reception block was where we used the toilets, showers pot wash etc. Women's had 5 toilets, 3 showers, 3 sinks. There are also 3 pot wash sinks.
Couldn't see a motorhome service point to drive over for grey waste, but might have missed it.
We stayed for 1 night as the site we had stayed on the 2 previous nights was full.
Although nothing was wrong with the site, we wouldn't stay again due to the noise and nothing much on-site to do. With the price not being much cheaper than some others near to the lake also. This is just personal preference though.
Very nice campsite

Only downside was there was never any hot water in the camping field facilities and had to walk a little further to the main facilities.
Beautiful family stay
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2023 Beautiful clean site, located on a river with lots of space, great value for money. Perfect location as a base to explore North Wales.
We came with our 2 year old son and felt that the site was very safe for little ones, perfect family memories created.
Lovely campsite
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2023 Clean and tidy shower and bathroom area, we hired a fire pit which was a lovely idea. Very impressed we will be back thank you.
No play area for kids but they made their own fun.

Easter get away Trailer Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2023 Not a bad site if you want to be close to the white water sports centre!
One toilet block had hot water the other toilet block was dirty and had no hot water. Not the best entrance to the site and I think you would struggle with a large car and caravan.
Small pitch with nothing to show your pitch markings. There was some fly tipping on the dog walk. Could do with more fire pits!
Lovely Site
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2023 Very good campsite, beautiful location within a reasonable distance to surrounding shops and a water activity centre within walking distance. Provides the perfect place for families, friends, and adventure seekers.
The tent areas are flat and spacious and the shower and toilet blocks are clean and warm.
Unfortunately, there are limited fire pits, meaning a lot of people go without, so it is advised that you queue early to claim one.
They no longer make their home made pizzas and instead have a small, limited shop, however you are able to order home made pizzas at the activity centre.
Overall, it is a lovely campsite with lots of different trails to follow, surrounded by a beautiful scenery and nearby farm animals.
Nice quiet site with amenities close to pitches
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2023 Nice quiet site with local walks. Additional washing up area with two toilets, in addition to the main block which is handy, as we went with young children and were pitched very close to the additional block.
Toilets/shower blocks checked between 11-1 and would benefit being checked twice daily as towards tea time, the toilet/shower blocked appeared very used and not as clean.
Staff very friendly and helpful. No play area on site so best taking outdoor toys/equipment such as footballs, frisbee.
Lovely stay
Camping Pod - Riverside Camping Pods Oct 2022 Loved the stay, however felt uncomfortable walking around at night, even with a torch, as there is no lighting, especially being a woman.
Fantastic area, pods are lovely - would highly recommend.
Excellent campsite
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2022 Would highly recommend this campsite. It had everything you need and very clean. 2 nights was not long enough, deffo 5 next time. It's was great watching all the kayaks and rafting on the local river. Will be going again very soon 😀

Beautiful stay
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2022 Absolutely stunning stay. Headed there for our birthdays with our dog in tow and had the most amazing time. Weather was gorgeous. The sound of the river lulled us to sleep nightly and we were grateful for it to keep our dog (and us) cool during the blazing heat. Couldn’t recommend enough. We’ll be back again!
Great location for all
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2022 Beautiful surroundings, set amongst woodland and large stream.
Great family run site, perfectly located a less than 10 min drive to Bala Town centre/lake and 2 minutes from the white water rafting centre. Small, quiet site day and night, right next to large stream. Large field for kids to play and for dog walks. Site in a lovely wooded location and felt off the beaten track. Electric hook ups available for tents, campers or caravans.
Also, the two glamping tents available looked really good.
Great time
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2022 Lovely site, great couple who have the site. Clean, great location. Had our music playing which could be heard from the house, and this lovely young couple were so nice about it. No frills greeting, you are shown where to go and what's what, but that's all that was needed. Had a lovely 3 days would definitely return. The couple who have this site work hard and it shows.

Weekend break
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2022 We had a lovely two night stay here. The only minor negative was that the toilet facilities were quite a walk from the camping field for young children needing the loo during the night, but that wouldn't put us off staying again.
Great campsite, very relaxed and love the firepits
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2022 The camping field was lovely and we enjoyed the picnic tables dotted around, and the use of firepits, which really added to our stay.
The owners were really relaxed and made us feel very welcome.
We loved the ice-cream vending machine as well, and the availability of breakfast and pizzas.
Great location, near to Bala and to the White Water Centre, with easy access to the river, which we enjoyed.
On the downside, there was an issue with the boiler while we were there and the showers were freezing the first two days, then never made it above lukewarm for the remainder of our stay. Also, the office only being open 2pm to 6pm was an issue, we were not at the campsite at that time on any day and couldn't talk to the owners.
All in all, I would definitely use this campsite again - they just need to turn up the heat on the showers.
