Medium Tent - Large Electric Grass PitchesJul 2025

Very friendly staff, answered all questions positively, hot and powerful showers, clean toilets, quite large pitches, a few different well maintained fields, a handy cafe onsite with super friendly staff, easy to book, easy comms, pretty straightforward to find, wild ponies and sheep on the moorland behind, close to the Britannia pub which served nice food (a 6min drive away). Could do with reflectors on the posts as we nearly drove into it by accident, some of the pathways to the toilet block are uneven getting puddles/muddy/slippery when it rains. Shop was ok, not extensive, wish the showers opened earlier, one main shower block, bit of a stroll for some situated further away. Not really vanity areas, quite no frills sink areas. A decent, clean, friendly site.

Medium Tent - Medium Electric Grass PitchesJun 2025

This was the first time at Kennexstone and we could not fault it. The staff were lovely and friendly and eager to assist. All the facilities were modern and exceptionally clean. The on-site cafe and shop were a bonus which we used and found them to be of good quality and value. The grass pitches are of large size and well spaced out. Would highly recommend and if we were ever back in the Gower we would not hesitate to use again.

Single Axle Caravan - Large Electric Hardstanding PitchesJun 2025

During my stay, the site was relatively empty and as such there were no problems encountered accessing the facilities. If the site was even half full I believe that there would have been some pressure put on the facilities. There are only four male shower cubicles for the whole site. For the number of pitches I do not feel that is enough. There is only one Elsan disposal point for the whole site so if you are pitched on the far reaches of the site, this may present a problem if like me you have walking difficulties. For a more able bodied person this may not present a problem. But taking the above into consideration, I still feel it is a wonderful site. Very peaceful and well located for the wonderful coastal walks etc. The staff are excellent and nothing seems too much trouble. I would not hesitate returning if I were able to guarantee a pitch a little nearer the facilities.

Very impressed indeed!

Small Tent - Medium Non Electric Grass PitchesJun 2025

First time visitors for a 3-night camping stay at Kennexstone. Very impressed with everything, hence all the five star ratings in my review. Will definitely stay there again in the future.

VW-Type Campervan - Standard Electric Grass PitchesJun 2025

Great location for local beaches and a variety of walks. I booked Kennexstone due to availability & the option of electric hook up. The campervans seemed to have their own field which was mostly empty & felt peaceful which was great! The only downside was the neighbouring field which had large groups of families and kids playing loudly - which is lovely to hear during the day, but when it goes on until gone 11pm, it feels a little inconsiderate to other campers. It didn't bother us too much but others may have complained. Shower blocks & toilets were basic but pretty clean. The cafe looks good, we only bought a coffee (it wasn't the best) but would try the food if we stayed here again and they serve ice cream too. Staff on check in were super friendly, helpful & the site overall is well maintained with lovely grassy fields.

Amazing cafe and shop. The owners are lovely and very down to earth. enclosed dog field, allows you to run your dog safely off lead, which or us is perfect. Great options at the restaurant. Rum and Raisin ice cream and local cider too. We cant wait to go back. Thank you for having us.

VW-Type Campervan - Medium Electric Grass PitchesMay 2025

Booked a medium grass hook up pitch for four adults in a VW T6 and a small two person tent. Had to pay extra for the tent which surprised us given the pitch size - if we'd all stayed in the van we wouldn't have paid more. Don't quite follow the logic hence the 3 stars. Everything else was great.

Perfect for our first camping trip

We chose Kennexstone as the location for our first camping trip and it was exactly what we needed. A quiet site with clean facilities and an on site shop and cafe. I’m sure we’ll be back!

Small Tent - Non Electric Backpacker PitchesMay 2025

I booked "out of season" so to speak and as such the site was pretty quiet, and unable to experience the cafe - it closes at midday, after I arrived. The shop was very convenient - open until 6pm - and managed to pick up a couple of essentials. I'd say the site is a good half hour walk from the coastal path - turn right at the entrance, walk along the main road to the next village. There is no pavement though.... Excellent shower and toilet block. Definitely recommend.

Lovely site, locked in if you want to leave early

Motorhome - Medium Electric Grass PitchesMay 2025

This site is lovely, really close to the beach and not too far from the mumbles. We stayed here as I was competing in the Mumbles triathlon, on signing in at reception, I was told the main gate is locked at 11pm and doesn't open until 7am. We had to leave the site at 5:30 to get to the Mumbles in time. I was told to leave my spare vehicle in a lay-by around the corner which didn't feel safe, no lighting or no security.

VW-Type Campervan - Standard Electric Grass PitchesMay 2025

Arrived and greeted by friendly staff who provided information about the amenities on the site. The site was well kempt, lovely clean shower blocks and toilets. Adequate water access for campers to use. We took the dog, which was great - so very dog friendly even selling doggie ice cream. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely go back again. Only gripe, we were in the shade at the bottom, so will ask to be placed elsewhere. Otherwise - loved it!

Such a lovely peaceful site. Lots of flat pitches, nice clean facilities. Reasonably priced shop. I enjoyed being in a central location in the Gower, in striking distance of many beautiful beaches.

VW-Type Campervan - Small Non Electric Grass PitchesApr 2025

Very clean and friendly staff. Would have liked the facility of a microwave. I felt it was quite expensive for low season, for just a non electric pitch with no café. I would return.

Lovely quiet site, showers and toilets were clean. The showers were not very warm, but that wouldn't put me off returning. Wi-Fi would have been a bonus.
