Peaceful

Lovely little site, Child enjoyed the park and they imagination about the plane was wonderful. Family shower rooms are amazing with little ones too. Hoping to visit again soon. Thank you.

Great pitch!

We only stayed for the night to test out our tent, we decided to make a weekend of it and travel around the south of Wales. Great location and easy drive into Barry & Cardiff. Facilities were clean and my little one enjoyed playing in the park. Thank you!

Campervan stay

Lovely stay, but not sign posted very well to get to site. Spotlessly clean and would stay again. Yummi's takeaway delivers to site too.

Thank you for your kind review. Sign posting is restricted by the Council and unfortunately in their wisdom we are only allowed tourist signs from one direction. Yummies in St Athan is great for a family takeaway and delivery.

One night stay

Lovely little site, it was self check in which was very easy. When we did meet the owner she was very lovely. Family shower rooms are amazing with little ones too. Hoping to visit again soon.

Very friendly reception

A great place for a base to explore the area. We stayed here and then went to Barry Island for the Gavin and Stacey Official Tour. An excellent weekend, friendly hosts and the tour was so good… highly recommend.

Nice campsite

The good. The location is fab and the pitches are large, with plenty of space for kids to play. A tail pitch area very tidy and a play park was a bonus for my daughter. There were no staff at all the entire weekend Self check-in meant no campsite or local knowledge shared and shop was always closed - no Wi-Fi. When we left on the Monday, a cleaner had been in but that was the only person we saw. The facilities are located at the entrance, so quite far from the furthest pitches and with the weather blowing a gale, was hard to use them for washing up etc. Could use a few more hedgerows as very exposed to elements, we did not use our awning for fear of it blowing away. We always use the shop if there is one listed, so when it didn't open, was a bit disappointing. We would not return but would recommend to others with some knowledge of the above.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review. Sorry you did not see me apart from when I was cleaning the shower block. There is a bell on the shop door and the welcome board that can be used to access the shop or ask any questions you might have. I am glad that you located your pitch from the details on the welcome board. I did walk to your pitch on several occasions but there was no vehicle present. When the wind blows it does catch us but the wind during your stay was extremely strong and kept changing direction. Sorry if this spoiled your stay with us and made the wash up area difficult. We do not have wifi as stated on our details. Mandy.

Amazing little site!

Amazing little campsite for families and couples, facilities immaculately cleaned. Very friendly owners who made us feel more than welcome, very trusted and safe grounds.

Weekend camping

A lovely couple of days visiting Cardiff, a lovely campsite. Very clean facilities - and I'm super fussy! Very peaceful, each pitch had lots of space, I will definitely be returning. I highly recommend this campsite.

Friendly, welcoming and clean

We had a lovely visit to this great campsite. The bathroom facilities were very clean with lovely hot showers. We booked a tent pitch but on arrival realised we couldn’t park our car alongside our tent, which was a problem for us as our dog sleeps in the car. The owners were friendly and very accommodating moving us to a more suitable location. Note: This campsite is best suited to campers with an autonomous set up, as there is no camp kitchen/washing up facilities or areas of shelter from rain for campers.

Perfect peace

This was a quick break for us, we were so relaxed we decided to stay on for an extra 2 nights. Just loved it.

Lovely site

Lovely site. Owner was friendly and helpful when we struggled to find our pitch. There was a map but we hadn't looked it properly, at a second glance it was quite simple. The site was clean and tidy, water available close to our pitch. The toilets and showers were clean and tidy though we didn't use the shower as were heading home. Lovely walks around the area and not to far from the beaches. Definitely on my list to return if we are in the area again.

Holiday

Very clean, lovely place to stay. The owner was so welcoming and the campsite was set out perfectly. Our first holiday with our 1 year old couldn't have gone any better. We will definitely be returning maybe to stay in a pod next time for longer.

Lovely, friendly site to unwind

Lovely little site to unwind completely. In the countryside and near to the coast, great local knowledge from hosts. Excellent service, they were in the garden around 10pm in their own time and I mentioned I needed a pump for an airbed. Two gents went off to find one and had a good look until they did. It's a great place to switch off your phone and completely unwind. Will be going back for sure.

Happy Jakes certainly made us happy

Lovely level site, close to Cardiff airport but the planes really didn't intrude much at all. Owner is lovely and very helpful. Great phone reception so internet wasn't a problem. Fully accessible for wheelchairs even. We'll definitely be returning.
