Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 Great campsite, very friendly couple who run it are super helpful. There was plenty of room to pitch up. The campsite sits right on the edge of the woods so plenty of walks to be had.
Would recommend and will return again next year.

Only rated 4 for facilities due to no shower, however, that wasn't a problem as we knew that up front. Will definitely be back.

In the middle of nature
Motorhome - Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 Beautiful setting. Everything you need, except for showers, is there. A bit difficult to get your motorhome level, but that is minor importance.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2025 Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. As well as the Savernake forest and the fabulous heritage trees, was nearby access to the Avebury circles National Trust site, which was superb, plus the facilities and eateries in Marlborough only 25 mins walk away.
Will definitely come again.

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2024 Wow, what a place for staying one night or several (if a lack of showers is not a problem). Very good area for walking under old frees and enjoy well kept grass areas. Nice staff, all works well.

Beautiful site
Motorhome - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 A beautiful woodland and basic site. It was lovely for dog walks.
There was no Wi-Fi. Shame the signs say no ball games, this seems like the best way for kids to play in that natural environment .

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 Excellent campsite, well maintained, well run, clean and staff very helpful. Good recycling facilities and information provision. My only wish is that there were showers.
Lovely site
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 This site was just as it was described - and that, in itself, makes a refreshing change. You really can choose your own spot and there are plenty of nooks to park up and have a good distance between campervans and motorhomes. A lovely warm welcome, a quiet site and a forest on the doorstep. A return visit will definitely be made.

Lovely spacious areas to pitch up all within easy access to water, chemical disposal facilities etc. Nice little walk into Marlborough through the woods. Will definitely be going back.

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2024 This is a nice, basic site. There’s no shower block, but that’s only a minus in some ways; it attracts a different kind of camper, which is a plus! The location is great; the surroundings lovely.
A warm welcome and back to nature
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2024 We were greeted by a lovely lady who explained all about the camp site set up - she was warm and seemed to genuinely care about why we were visiting and told us about the 1000 year old oaks.
We will definitely visit again to spend more time in the amazing woodland, what a special place to wake up. We saw deer in the woods and had a lovely walk to see the ancient trees.
Facilities were clean and adequate - nicely spaced out and I think family groups camping together could have great fun getting back to nature here.
Lovely site next to Savernake Forest
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2024 Really enjoyed our brief visit. This lovely site is within easy walking distance of Marlborough and immediately next to the beautiful Savernake Forest. We plan to go back and stay longer. Only downside is the lack of showers.
Really good campsite
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2024 We had a lovely time. The place is huge so despite being half-term, we had enough space for a peaceful stay. Right in the Savernake Forest, you can start your hike or cycling tour straight away, which is lovely. The town with shops and pubs is just 20 minutes away on foot, so that is very convenient.
We missed the fact the campsite gate is closed overnight, but despite that, one of the staff opened it for us at 6:30AM so kudos for that, and sorry again for waking you up ;)
Will visit again.
