Clear filters Beautiful location, well kept site
Motorhome - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Super Pitches May 2025 Hillside is a beautiful well maintained site. In the middle of the countryside, but only ten minute drive to lovely market towns of Northallerton and Thirsk. Great dog walks, little play park in big grassy area.
The shower blocks are very clean and there is also a bath. We loved watching the hares hopping about around the site.
The staff are so friendly and very helpful. There's even a dog wash area. We had a lovely week and will certainly return.
A gem of a campsite!
Motorhome - Fully Serviced Extra Large Hardstanding Super Pitches May 2025 An absolute fantastic gem of a campsite! This is the second time we’ve stayed at Hillside and it certainly won’t be the last!
It’s everything we want from a campsite… a relaxing place, great staff, very well maintained facilities, beautiful scenery and very large, fully serviced pitches.
We’ll be back again soon!
Immaculate site
VW-Type Campervan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Super Pitches Apr 2025 Beautifully maintained site. Spacious pitches well spaced out with views of the surrounding area. Very peaceful and nice dog walks from site. Would definitely return for a quiet weekend break.
Easter weekend
Glamping Pod - Deluxe Mega Ensuite Pods Apr 2025 Wonderful site in a beautiful location. Our deluxe pod was fantastic - comfortable, clean and well looked after. Great kitchen facilities and a shower room better than ours at home!
Our friends in their caravans also spoke in glowing terms about the campsite facilities too. Staff were super friendly and couldn't do enough for us. They also put on loads of brilliant Easter activities for the kids on Easter Sunday.
We will definitely be coming back.

Glamping Pod - Mega Ensuite Pods Apr 2025 The pod and facilities are beautifully maintained and clean. There's a huge field with short grass for the kids to play on and a great play area as well.
Everything is very spaced out so you are not on top of the other guests. We saw a hare visiting near our pod in the early morning. There is a lovely, warm communal lounge with loads of space and games and jigsaw puzzles if you want to have a change of scene.
Our pod was warm, cosy and comfortable.

A hidden gem in the heart of the Yorkshire countryside
Glamping Pod - Mega Ensuite Pods (Dog Friendly) Mar 2025 We absolutely loved our stay at Hillside. The dog-friendly mega pod was perfectly suited to our needs. It was well laid-out, and well appointed with a fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave, as well as a TV - this was a welcome addition when we came in from a day's exploring.
Having a bathroom was in the pod was quite a treat and the shower was lovely and warm. I think to make the pod even better would be equipping each bathroom with a little squeegee to speed up the drying process after showers and perhaps some basic cleaning supplies.
I did purchase Wi-Fi for two devices, but the pod seemed to be located too far from the router so I couldn't get online, but really it was a good excuse to unwind and enjoy the surroundings.
The site is very well maintained, and great to walk the dog briefly before bedtime. There are wonderful walking routes starting from inside the site and I was especially impressed with the dog wash, which we made good use of at the end of our walk.
All in all, this was a really lovely place, with lovely staff, and we very much look forward to staying at Hillside again soon. Thank you!
Tranquil break
Glamping Pod - Mega Ensuite Pods (Dog Friendly) Mar 2025 Took my mum for the first time glamping and she thoroughly enjoyed her stay. Beautiful views and peaceful vibes just what was needed to switch off and enjoy the surroundings.
Site and accommodation very clean, staff friendly.

A nice site
Single Axle Caravan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Super Pitches Nov 2024 Lovely big site, great for walks. However, don't miss the entrance to the site as it is a long way back round to get to the site and almost all is single lane traffic. I tried turning in the entrance to a field but there wasn't enough room.
The site is well kept and clean, we didn't use the facilities as we like to use ours in the van. The super pitches are massive but they are a bit of a walk to the washroom facilities if you want to use them. The site could also do with a few more dog poo bins as I can only recall seeing one.
Good location and quiet
Glamping Pod - Deluxe Mega Ensuite Pods Oct 2024 The location was beautiful, the pods we stayed in were on well kept lawns and a 30ish minute drive to lots of English Heritage sites.
The pod was really spacious. We chose the deluxe as it worked out cheaper than renting the bedding in the standard. The crockery is provided with the Deluxe Pod but looking at the pack there is an additional charge for the non-deluxe pods.
Just for reference it might be worth taking some cash as you have to pay a deposit for a TV remote. Also the WIFI was only supposed to available for 2 devices (in a 5 person pod). Although there was no WIFI signal to connect to.
I really liked the park on site, I can imagine in the summer the field gets a lot of use with the football nets.
The pods far enough away from each other to not hear any neighbours.
Peace and quiet in the Autumn

VW-Type Campervan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Super Pitches Aug 2024 Lovely stay at Hillside Caravan Park. We had a large pitch, fully serviced.
The shower block is good with spacious cubicles and this also had a hairdryer. There were also additional bathrooms adjoining reception which were ideal for people with children. Dish washing facilities were standard and there is also a laundry room. The site has lounge area where you can use free wifi and get a cuppa for £2. There is also a book/dvd exchange.
On the whole a good place for a relaxing stay.

Facilities good, nice little laundry room, even a dog wash area. Okay, our border collie wasn't impressed 😂 but l know plenty of pooches out there are. Very well kept site and relaxing, we will definitely be returning soon.

Twin Axle Caravan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Super Pitches Jul 2024 Beautiful, clean site in great location. Lovely walks. Wouldn't buy the Wi-Fi for television reception as it buffers all the time. Better to use personal hot spot on your phone, if data allows.
