Good stuff
Motorhome - Large Hardstanding Pitches (Optional Electric) May 2025 Good size pitches, very clean and comfortable showers with under floor heating, great café and children's play area all positives.
1 negative is having to pay for electricity on top of the site fees. I would not have a problem with it if the site fees were reduced to compensate for the electric.

Quick stopover
Motorhome - Large Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches (Adult Only) Apr 2025 Very well equipped site set in beautiful surroundings. Well worth a visit to the local village. The site was our first stop on an NC500 tour and had the best amenities by far.

Peaceful stay
Motorhome - Large Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches (Adult Only) Mar 2025 Site is really big with a lot of seasonal and store and stay pitches. We normally go for smaller sites but this was a lovely surprise, really nice and peaceful. We stayed in the adults only part but the whole park was quiet. It is very well managed very clean and tidy
The facilities are immaculate, the nearest showers to us were unisex with plenty of individual bathrooms and free warm showers toilet and wash basin. Lovely licences, cafe open for breakfast and lunch, food was amazing.
Plenty of walks from the site and a dog walk. A new shop has opened on site just starting up but will be a really good addition.
Unfortunately, the nearby pub was closed for renovations but it is only a short walk away.

Weekend stay
VW-Type Campervan - Large Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches (Adult Only) Mar 2025 What a fabulous site the best we have stayed at. The staff are so helpful and friendly. The facilities are of a high standard and spotlessly clean.
We had booked a large pitch so that we could try out our new awning. The site is beautifully maintained and we enjoyed a pleasant walk around it. There is a good play park for children with a zip wire.
The on-site cafe is a real gem we had an amazing breakfast. On Saturday evening the cafe opens between 5-8pm, we enjoyed pizza and a beer.
We will definitely be returning.

Motorhome - Large Fully Serviced Pitches Feb 2025 We thought that this campsite was one of the nicest we have stayed, the site is beautifully kept and the location suited us.
The facilities are outstanding, built and made to last, with quality finishing.

Perfect
Motorhome - Standard Hardstanding Pitches (Optional Electric) Jan 2025 Lovely site with spacious level pitches.
The shower facilities are modern and very clean with large cubicles. Also, separate cubicles with hair dryers in. There's a lovely cafe on site but only had coffee and cake (which was delicious) as they had stopped serving food when we called.
There are some lovely walks nearby and only a 20 minute drive to Scarborough.
Booked again before we left as there is so much more we want to explore.

Fabulous stay
Motorhome - Standard Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches (Adult Only) Dec 2024 First visit to this campsite and it was great. I loved the lights on entry, check-in was easy and quick.
Our pitch was easy to find and ample in size. The toilets were first class, they were individual cubicles and had underfloor heating and music. Will definitely be going back, thank you.

Great site
Motorhome - Standard Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches (Adult Only) Nov 2024 We stayed 3 nights in a motorhome on an adults only gravel pitch. It had a water and electric hook up, the electric was pre pay which cost us £3.50 for the the whole stay,
We walked to the Dennison Arms in the next village which took 40 mins, although good shoes and a torch was needed the meal in there was lovely,
The bus stop to Scarborough is at the entrance of the site and run every 2 hours, all in all we will return to this site it was great.

Pod stay
Camping Pod - Camping Pods (Dog Friendly) Oct 2024 I had a really nice stay here at St Helens in one of the pods! Hadn't been in a pod before and this was really enjoyable!
The Pod was clean, the campsite was also clean! The toilet block was very clean and modern, I liked the touch of the radio playing at any time you went in there (even at 12am!!), it was a nice little touch!
The staff were friendly and the on site café had lovely food! All around a lovely pod to stay!

Brilliant
Single Axle Caravan - Standard Hardstanding Pitches (Optional Electric) Sep 2024 For our first time out in the new caravan life, we couldn't have come to a better start here.
The site was clean, well-managed, and everything was on hand to make our stay enjoyable. The café is amazing and a must-go for you lads who like a proper breakfast. I would 100% recommend it to family and friends.

Absolutely amazing
Camping Pod - Camping Pods (Dog Friendly) Sep 2024 We stayed just for a night so we could visit Scarborough the following day and it was absolutely amazing!
The facilities were so clean and the cafe on site was delicious. We will 100% be returning, especially for the price, thank you for having us :)

Camping Pod - Danby Ensuite Glamping Pod with Hot Tub (Dog Friendly) Sep 2024 We had a fabulous 4 nights.
There are a couple of things that I think need mentioning. We were disappointed that the shop wasn't open as it's quite a long drive to the nearest supermarket and it would have been nice if the cafe/bar had been open at night.
We had an incident with the barrier as reception hadn't logged the registration plate. This was frustrating but was sorted the next day

Hi Heather, so pleased you had a lovely stay. Apologies for the barrier! Our shop will be opening on the 21st March, but there is a Spar shop a few minutes drive away which stocks a lot of different items that the usual big supermarkets do.

Great site, disappointing customer care
Single Axle Caravan - Standard Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches (Adult Only) Sep 2024 Lovely site and the updated shower and toilet rooms are excellent. Used the cafe for takeaway pizza and great value and tasty. Pitches excellent.
However, experience tainted by experience beyond our control. Issue with car had led to it stopping without warning which, as we are both in our 70s, was more than worrying. Thankfully. a local garage said they would look at it. They could only do this on day we were leaving site. This meant we didn't know if the car would be back to us in time to leave site by 11am. Explained this to reception and paid for extra night. However, garage sorted car and we were able to leave before the 11am time and so the extra day was not required. We were surprised that site did not accept that this was a scenario out of our control and refused to refund unused day.

Hi Chris, so pleased you enjoyed our site and fantastic facilities. Unfortunately, booking another night meant that we were unable to then offer this to any other potential customers and we would therefore be losing a booking.
We do understand these things happen, however our refund system is all stated clearly in our policies and would have been explained to you in person. We hope to welcome you back again.
