VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2025 Really nice campsite set in great country side surroundings, easily accessible straight off the A65, a great base to go off and explore the Dales.
Rules! VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2025 Nice enough campsite, but what put me off was the over emphasis on their rules. Reminded me of school.
Didn't create a relaxing experience. Lord forbid you left the bar in anything other than a quiet manner or let your child climb a tree. The toilet/showers are a little cramped, but otherwise it's ok for a day or so.
Lovely campsite
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2025 We're just home from our first stay at the Dalesbridge site.
Staff were very accommodating even before we arrived, when I had to contact them about a potential last-minute change to our booking. They were very friendly on arrival, and came over to let us know we had inadvertently parked between two pitches before we had got too many things out to easily move over. They also lent us an extension when our cable couldn't reach the hook up point. The pitch was a good size and there was a nice central space in the field for children to play, which was very well-used when we were there.
The site was bigger than I had expected but doesn't feel 'too big' as it is arranged into smaller areas that are each quite contained. There are plenty of facilities around the site and we never had to queue. They were also kept clean throughout the day and there was always toilet roll in the cubicles. The on-site shop is small but has key essentials and the bar is a very pleasant space. We didn't order pizzas, but they looked good! I would thoroughly recommend a walk to the Game Inn in Austwick, which served us the nicest meal I've had in a long time.
Our only minor issue was with a family playing quite loud music after the 10pm curfew, but staff came along and asked them to turn it off. It felt as if there was a constant staff presence, which made the site feel very safe. There is a phone number to contact someone whenever needed too.
We didn't venture far from the site as it was our first trip in our van, but it is well-located for plenty of days out (to Ingleborough, Malham etc). We will definitely be back!

Very good stay overall
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Feb 2025 We are not seasoned campers, so wanted a site where we wouldn't feel as though we were wild camping. We picked here after a Google search. We pitched up at A12, close to the toilets and showers. The location of the site for ease of hiking is incredible. There are loads of good trails on the doorstep.
It is however also next to a major road and there are a lot of wagons that drive past during the night so sleep was disturbed.
I can't fault the value for money, £40 for two nights with the dog, in a safe location with toilets and showers- perfect. Check in was detailed in the email and we knew we had to go to the bar by 9pm. We made it with 15mins to spare and the barman was expecting us. Gave us a clear map and circled our pitch options then left us to it. Exactly what we wanted, very happy!
Checkout however, well, we couldn't find anyone to checkout with. The reception and shop were shut, the bar hadn't opened by the checkout time and no one answered the phone on the number given, we felt rude just leaving but we did.
During the stay the toilets and showers were available 24/7 which was very handy incase of a late/early shower or for the midnight wee, but the users throughout the day as they returned from hikes or laziness, brought this standard down. They left it dirty (floors and toilet bowl included) and the door open causing any warmth to escape. So a clean, warm shower room wasn't on the cards. They could have been tended to more often I believe, even in off peak times (February).
Overall we will absolutely be returning again as none of this has put us off and it shouldn't put you off either. It's a great non electric camping site!

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2024 Had an amazing weekend stay at this site. All the staff were so friendly and helpful (especially the 2 Marks).
The toilet and washing facilities are kept clean and tidy. We had pizza on Saturday night which was super tasty. Not one bad word to say about the whole site. Beautiful views and a great location.

Two night stay for Three Peaks Challenge
Single Axle Caravan - Electric All Weather Pitches Sep 2024 Really lovely two night stay at Dalesbridge at campsite picked for our Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge. Only 15 minutes away from the meeting spot for the morning.
Brilliant location, woman who checked us in recommended a spot that had the best view of the sunset.
The campsite isn't too big either. We had our dog with us, most people had dogs so very dog friendly. We arrived about 30 minutes late and they were very accommodating.
Lovely little bar/pub on site and on Saturdays, they do pizzas. Lots of local pubs nearby.

Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 Excellent campsite, it just needs something for the under 5s to do like a small play park. Well organised with welcoming staff.
Very good cheese shop just up the road as well and Settle 10 mins away.
Well worth a visit.
Great location

We did feel a little crammed in on the outer edge of the field. Couldn't erect the awning until somebody moved their car which meant a later set up than anticipated.
Pizza was nice, could have done with more topping for the price. Facilities were very clean however, a bit of a stroll from where we camped. Could have done with a more central block.
I would return but would consider asking for a different spot. Overall, very satisfied.

Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 Disappointed not to have a reply to my email sent prior to our visit and I guess now the answer is 'no, that is not a problem', but a reply would have been of good service.
Staff when you saw them were friendly and helpful. Very noisy road all night which didn't help with sleep.
Charming
Camping Pod - Large Camping Pods (Dog Friendly) Aug 2024 Lovely pod. Very cozy and clean. Great for our dogs also. Surrounded by some fantastic traditional villages. Also, the site is historic and comes with an interesting history of its origins.

Very decent
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 Stayed for two nights whilst climbing the Yorkshire Three Peaks. The campsite is lovely, spacious and clean and above all, flat, so great for tenting.
The staff are very organised at check in and at the pizza oven. Lovely pizza. Slightly tongue in cheek, but someone could do with coming round at 2am and telling people who are making a lot of noise to pipe down or they'll be going home early.
Other than that, everything was excellent.
Great few days away
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 Site was large and flat, great for the children to run around. Great facilities on site but we made the mistake of not ordering pizzas in advance, so we missed out.
Toilet and shower blocks were cleaned regularly but water pressure could be low when many showers were in use at once. Shower block could use an upgrade and more hooks to put clothes / towels on.
Great location for exploring the area, great walks and a great cheese shop a few miles down the road.

Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 We are new to camping, but for our first family trip, we loved it at Dalesbridge!
On-site bar, shop, and pizzas definitely were a game changer! Lovely, friendly staff who couldn't do enough. They came out straight away when we had some selfish neighbours who ignored the noise time and partied on until 2am!
The only downside is it's location to a busy A road. The traffic noise went on into the early hours. This wouldn't stop us coming back though, we'd just bring ear plugs!

Only comment I would make on the negative side is that it is very noisy from traffic as the campsite is off a very busy and fast road. Still had a fabulous 3 nights here.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 Lovely campsite, facilities lovely and clean. Never really had much interaction with the staff as we were up and out 5am but the man who checked us in was very helpful. Lovely bar. All round good stay!
