Bell Tent - Barn Owl Bell Tent with Hot Tub (Dog Friendly) May 2025 Absolutely amazing weekend at Alum House, Michelle and Glenn are the best hosts ever.
Glamping was luxury with the best bed/ mattress I have ever slept in!
Close to Robin Hood's Bay and Whitby.
What a great experience, can't wait to come back! Thank you.

Amazing place!
Bell Tent - Barn Owl Bell Tent with Hot Tub (Dog Friendly) Apr 2025 Just got back from a couple of nights staying in Barn Owl bell tent. My partner and I, our 7 year old son and the dog all had plenty of space to relax and enjoy this gorgeous space.
Private log fired hot tubs and private bathroom. A fire pit /BBQ and outdoor kitchen area. We had such a lovely time and the hosts, Michelle and Glen, were fabulously welcoming and helpful. Everything about this place is beautiful - from the interior décor and beds to the surroundings and animals.
We will definitely be back. X

Bell Tent - Barn Owl Bell Tent with Hot Tub (Dog Friendly) Apr 2025 We had a wonderful stay! The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made our whole family feel right at home.
A special thanks to Michelle who baked a cake for my husband's birthday. The setting was peaceful and beautifully maintained - plus, we absolutely loved the ducks! A truly lovely glamping experience. Highly recommend!

Relaxing and beautiful getaway
Bell Tent - Jenny Wren Bell Tent with Hot Tub (Dog Friendly) Sep 2024 Michelle was lovely, attentive and informative. The location was perfect. So peaceful and great for the dog with the river next to us.
The location had lovely walks and the facilities were perfect for outdoor cooking. We couldn’t be happier with our stay! Would highly recommend and would love to come back.

Wonderful little hideaway!
Bell Tent - Roe Deer Cabin with Hot Tub (Dog Friendly) Aug 2024 We stayed in the Roe Deer Tent for 3 Nights across BH Weekend.
As a family of 4 the tent was spacious with a comfortable double bed and fold out beds for the kids. Equipped with a fire, extension lead, fridge and kettle with the two gas hob kitchenette outside we had everything we needed!
Michelle had the Hot Tub ready for our arrival and I would definitely recommend the pizzas!! We made full use of the hot tub, the fire pit with the toilet/shower only a short walk away. We also took our projector, the kids loved enjoying a movie with the fire going as well!
With fabulous views overlooking Whitby before you head down into Alum House, we would definitely recommend a trip there with it only being a 10 minute drive away. We also visited and enjoyed cake at Falling Foss making Alum House a great base to be able to explore and enjoy the surroundings.
Finally, Michelle was the most wonderful and friendly host, we would certainly recommend Alum House for anyone wanting to visit the east coast!

Wonderfully relaxing
Bell Tent - Barn Owl Bell Tent with Hot Tub (Dog Friendly) Aug 2024 Beautiful surroundings. Well equipped. Very attentive host who went the extra mile for my daughter’s birthday. Brilliant homemade pizza. Everything was perfect and the hot tub was a treat in the evening under the trees and stars.

Relaxing stay
Bell Tent - Barn Owl Bell Tent with Hot Tub (Dog Friendly) May 2024 Great setting to get away from it all, very relaxing. The hosts were absolutely lovely, very friendly and genuinely wanted you to enjoy your stay. Fresh food delivered to your accommodation was very good. Facilities were spotlessly clean and plentiful.

A wonderful 2 night stay
Bell Tent - Barn Owl Bell Tent with Hot Tub (Dog Friendly) May 2024 We've just got back from a 2 night stay in Barn Owl Bell Tent. The weather wasn't on our side but that didn't stop us from having a fantastic stay. The location is perfect and off grid and still only a short car journey to Whitby or Robin Hood's Bay.
The bell tents are perfectly equipped for all you could need for your stay and the toilet/shower facilities, just a short walk from your tent, were lovely and clean, with hot water and a very powerful shower! Our hosts Michelle and Glen were very welcoming and we are already planning on going back! 5🌟

Bell Tent - Roe Deer Cabin with Hot Tub (Dog Friendly) Aug 2022 We are a couple with 3 children. Everyone adored our space in the bell tent! We used the hot tub and fire pit (the kids love a BBQ), and the bathroom & kitchen facilities were clean and well maintained. As we were enclosed, it was safe to let the children do their own thing without constantly worrying. Everyone was dry, warm and comfortable which is what we needed after a day of walking. The hot tub is lush and great for tired achy legs.
The kids have demanded we book to go again next year.
