Single Axle Caravan - Gravel Touring Pitches Aug 2024 Excellent location, situated near all the major towns. Jayne is very helpful, lovely lady. Loved the peace and tranquil surroundings, could do with the Elsan hoses being about a meter longer. Did not want to come home, definitely stay there again! See you soon xx

I will definitely put a longer hose on the Elsan wash tap as since your comment I have asked a few other visitors and mostly they agree with you, although a few people have said they don't like them to be touching the floor. Will give a longer one a try and follow the general opinion for the future!

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Gravel Touring Pitches Jul 2024 Really lovely spot, very relaxing.
Very clean with all necessary facilities. Easy walk into town with Co-op, takeaways and pubs.
Plenty of walks from the site for you and your dogs. Was quite a few flies, which did irritate us and the dog, but can't really expect anything else near trees, sheep and a river.
Jayne is lovely. Would definitely recommend and hope to come back.

Lovely, quiet little site
Single Axle Caravan - Gravel Touring Pitches Jul 2024 A lovely quiet little site with just six gravel pitches (dry, despite heavy rain) and plenty of room. Nice view over a field with mature trees, good dog walks and close to pubs, restaurants, shops in Kirkbymoorside. We have added it to our list of preferred sites!

What a gem
Single Axle Caravan - Gravel Touring Pitches Jul 2024 A lovely, well-kept site, grass nice and short, lots of maps for walks in the area. Jayne is very welcoming and there if you need anything. Great location, nice walk into Kirkbymoorside.
Great recycling centre, fire pits to use if wanted. Lovely views from the caravan and very good value for money. Highly recommended.

Lovely, clean, well-kept and small site
Single Axle Caravan - Large Gravel Touring Pitch Jul 2024 We were welcomed by Jayne to a very well-manicured and well-organised site. The pitches are large and very level and the site is in a lovely setting, overlooking pastures with trees at the back catching all the tea-time sun. Jayne was very helpful, checking we were ok but without being intrusive.
It is in such a beautiful location, walking distance into Kirbymoorside, with their quaint and traditional shops. We visited York, Rievaulx Abbey and Byland Abbey. We called for afternoon tea in nearby Hutton-Le-Hole whilst out on a walk from the site. There is so much to see in this outstanding area and we would highly recommend and will definitely visit again. 😀

A Yorkshire treasure
Motorhome - Large Gravel Touring Pitch Jul 2024 We had a lovely peaceful 2 nights here, I'm only sorry we didn't book for a longer stay.
A great base for exploring the surrounding area and nice private bays with lovely evening sunshine. Jayne has organised everything so well, even right down to little local maps with suggested walks, trips and local restaurants.
Myself, the other half, our two kids aged 13 and 9 and our big German shepherd will definitely be back.

Our stay
Single Axle Caravan - Gravel Touring Pitches Jun 2024 Would definitely recommend this site, it is well organised about the information onsite, local area and the recycling of waste. Hardstanding, level pitches with nice views over a paddock. Standard width caravan & 2.4m wide awning fitted perfectly on the pitch, with grassed area adjacent to caravan to park your car.
Jayne is very friendly, keeps the site up to a very high standard and goes over and above to ensure her guests enjoy their stay.

Great location, shame about the pig farm Single Axle Caravan - Gravel Touring Pitches Jun 2024 The site is well located just off the A170, so is a great base for exploring the area and the host, Jayne, is very welcoming.
However, unfortunately, we cannot recommend the site to others, because of the neighbouring pig farm. The pigs were constantly screaming, but worse than that was the smell, which at times, was really overpowering and unpleasant.

Thank you for your review. I am sorry that you found the pig farm over the road reduced the enjoyment of your stay. We do sometimes get feeding time noise when the pigs are excited, but we very rarely get any smell as the westerly winds are dominant which takes any smell away in the opposite direction - the buildings are a fair distance away so we aren't usually affected.
I can only apologise if this wasn't the case when you were staying on the site. Best wishes, Jayne.

Fantastic location
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Gravel Touring Pitches May 2024 Great location, allowing cycle rides to Pickering and beyond. Quiet, easy accessible site for those who want to be self sufficient with access to power, water and waste disposal. Beautiful view from each pitch, and very friendly owners.

Lovely site
Motorhome - Gravel Touring Pitches May 2024 Had a lovely 4 day stay here, the weather helped. A lovely site, although it didn't have toilet and shower but we had our own anyway.
We didn't get to meet the owner as she was away, but communicated with me via text with information and directions to the site. A nice touch on the pitch was a wallet with information and walks in the area.

An absolute gem
Motorhome - Gravel Touring Pitches Feb 2024 We booked this site at the last minute and the owner could not have been more helpful.
The site is perfect for a few days of peace and quiet. Only five pitches, all facing the open pasture with sheep and lambs in season. No toilet or showers, so suited to caravans and motorhomes. Walking distance to Kirkbymoorside with shops, bars etc.
As others have said, Jayne could not be more welcoming. Fabulous place, where we will definitely return for a longer break.
