About the site

A great location for visiting some of the UK's most popular locations on the outskirts of London. Thrill seekers can visit Thorpe Park, just ten minutes away, with easy access to the M25 for exploring further afield. Tents, trailer tents, campervans, caravans and motorhomes are all welcome on the site's grass pitches. The pitches are 9m x 9m and will be designated based on the size of your equipment. Some of the pitches also have the option of 6amp or 10 amp hook ups. With direct access to the Thames path, you can enjoy local waterside walks with places for kayaking and paddleboarding nearby too. Laleham village is also within a 20 minute stroll with charming pubs and a tea room. For connections to London, Staines train station is only five minutes away, where you pick up a 35 minute train into the capital. For evenings onsite, guests are welcome to enjoy a BBQ, just please ensure they are raised from the ground. Open fires are not permitted. Dogs can come along too, with up to two pups permitted per pitch. Do note, the site is located on the Heathrow flight path so you may experience some plane noise.

Laleham Camping Club is open from 30/03 to 03/10. Pitches from £30/night for 2 people.

VW-Type Campervan - Grass Pitches with Optional ElectricApr 2026

What a great site, everything you need with great staff. A special mention to Daryl who went out of his way to be helpful and friendly. Very close to the river with a great field behind for dog walking.

Very basic, but does the job!

VW-Type Campervan - Grass Pitches with Optional ElectricMar 2026

Overall, the campsite has the basics you need. Our pitch was disappointing as it was meant to be a grass pitch, but half of it was earth, so if it had been raining it would have been a mud bath. More generally, the grass in the middle of the site could do with cutting and the ground is very uneven, so would also benefit from some lighting at night when walking over to the shower block. The games room was the reason we booked the site as we have two teenage boys, but again a little disappointed with this as the pool table wasn't available for some of our stay, but there were other things in there to keep them busy. The site is a great location for Thorpe park and rather than move the camper we decided to get an Uber there and back which worked out really well (£20 return), but just be wary on your exit as there are other taxi firms scouting for business and wanting to charge up to £40 for a trip that costs £10 with Uber! Thorpe park was great we enjoyed that and the longest queue was an hour or so. The site is also great location for cycling, we rode to Windsor via Staines which was lovely, as the weather was good that day (approx 20 mile round trip!), we stopped at the Swan Hotel which was lovely for bar snacks. The opposite way we managed to get to Shepperton, but then got a bit lost, as the there is a break in the Thames Path. A little more knowledge from the camp warden would have been helpful as we did ask before we left. We visited several pubs including Thames Court (Shepperton), The Kingfisher (Chertsey), Three Horseshoes (Chertsey), all served lovely food, but not cheap approx £20 pp (maybe that we are just used to prices up North!). There is a local shop about 15 minute walk away, but we ordered a few Uber eats deliveries which worked out fine too! Overall, we had a good time, but unlikely to return to the site again, the staff were very friendly, but felt they were under prepared for the first day of the season. The shower block was clean and the water was hot in the ladies, but my husband said the men's were not so warm! If you have little ones then it's probably more appealing as you can sit and watch them play in the middle of the site which is good. It's a good location just feel it could do with a bit of TLC and felt it's overpriced for what it is.

Perfect stay, super easy to find, great location and they were very accommodating, sorting us out with power when our solar panels stopped working.
