Excellent campsite
Recommends site
The campsite is by a beautiful lake, with lots of wildlife and it very well maintained. The showers are perfect and the toilets are brilliant. Although the compost toilets can take a bit of getting used to, they are presented in such a lovely way and there are lots of lovely touches that make it feel natural, but hygienic and cosy. I love what they stand for, being as eco friendly as possible. They have thought of everything and the products they provide are amazing.
You can tell just how passionate the owners of the campsite are and they are such friendly and welcoming people. We felt like we had plenty of privacy, yet knew we could talk to someone if we needed anything.
We actually chose the site for the lake mainly as my husband and 7 year old love fishing, but it's beautiful even if you're not into that. It's the perfect place to just to relax surrounded by nature and hearing the ducks in the morning was such a lovely way to wake up.
The bell tents looked very nice, but we had our own large tent and had plenty of space. I can't thank the owners enough for how accommodating they were.
