Amazing place

It was our first time camping here there weekend , and wow what an absolutely amazing place ❤️ me my partner and daughter went with our friends and children and we had the best weekend ever we didn’t want to leave, the toilets and showers are spotless clean, the small little bar they have is a lovely idea it opens for a few hours in the evening, everyone was so lovely and polite and the owner is so nice she was amazing to us , it’s local to eveything the bird in hand do an outstanding Sunday lunch 😻 ponturdulais is down the road where Tesco is and also Kebab shops Chinese etc. Thank you for an amazing stay , we 100 percent be back Very soon we loved it and the children x

What a lovely place to stay our first time camping definitely made easy in such a lovely clean place all staff was very friendly and welcoming! Toilets and showers was so clean ! Will definitely go back it’s a 10/10 for us 🙌🏼

Lovely place to stay

Popular place, option of sites to stay, excellent dog walking, we camped but the pods looked awesome too. Lovely little Bar, prices very very reasonable. Spacious pitches, play area and room for children, this site has something for everyone. There was a lovely shop too, knew it was there, but so much lovely stuff to do at and around site we forgot about it. We are very grateful to the owners/ runners of the site, we can see why the lovely people who have permanent pitches return again and again.

The most welcoming campsite

Absolutely adored this site, the customer service was fantastic and they really do go above and beyond to make you feel more welcome! The bar area is super cozy and so is the little shop. Not one bad thing to say! Will be returning with our daughter, very welcoming to families.

Nice, well kept site

In my opinion, this campsite is lovely, but best suited to caravanners, it's clean and well maintained. We were in our motorhome along with our 2 dogs. There is a field where you are able to walk your pets. Unfortunately, there are no walks from the site. This is great if your unit is a caravan as you would use your car to get around locally, us being in a motorhome were less likely to drive out considering the logistics of doing so. The owners are lovely, it was just unfortunately not for us.

Very pretty

Very pretty site, easy to access from the motorway. Friendly and helpful owners. Only one complaint was the road noise. Very busy road and could hear traffic all the time but that issue wouldn't discourage me from visiting again.

Average

Easy to find and a good location as a base to explore the area by vehicle. No walking routes available from the site. Only 2 showers in men's and ladies so queues when busy. No toilet paper in the ladies toilets all week. Bar says seasonal but only opens Friday and Saturday 6-9pm and this was July!

Hi Keeley, Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback — it's really appreciated. I just wanted to respond to a couple of your points. Firstly, I completely understand your frustration regarding the lack of toilet paper in the designated holders. Unfortunately, we experienced a supply issue during your stay, and while I did place standard rolls in each of the toilets as a temporary measure, I agree this wasn’t ideal. I’m happy to let you know that we’ve since changed suppliers to prevent this happening again. In terms of the shower facilities, we do have two showers in each of the main ladies’ and men’s blocks, as well as an additional two individual rooms available for shower use — I’m sorry if that wasn’t made clearer during your stay. Lastly, as there were only eight other pitches occupied during your visit, the demand was low for opening the bar each evening. That said, we’re glad you were able to enjoy the Friday evening when it was open. Thanks again for your comments — they really help us improve. Best regards, Sian

Peaceful stay

We had a peaceful 2 night stay on our tour of mid and south Wales. The quite area was super quiet. I'm sure it's more lively when the children are off school with a bar being open etc. but we enjoyed the peace and quiet but not the attention of the clegg flies! Use repellent if they are in season.

Good size gravel pitches, well kept site, toilet block and showers spotless with really good heating.

Camping

What a great campsite. Me and my 2 sons (aged 4 and 13) booked a last minute trip here and being only 35 minutes away from me, I thought we would give this place a try. Having a new tent, I rung the owner up early to see if I could pitch the tent earlier than the time I was supposed to have checked in. Her response was 'no problem at all'. I was there at 11am and the owners couldn't do enough for me. The toilets were spotless, in fact, the whole campsite was spotless. Myself and my children would 100% go there again and can't wait until we get out again. Great campsite, would highly recommend.

Booked extra 2 nights

Decided after first night, ease of location and facilities were great so extended our stay two nights more.

Excellent campsite

Such an easy site to get to from any direction, it was peaceful, relaxing and the bar was a great addition. Plenty of places to walk, and the river is absolutely stunning. Will definitely return to this site and recommend it.

We have been to River View a few times and will be back. Lovely, clean site. Toilets and showers are always clean and lovely hot water.

We felt very welcome, we loved the warm and super clean facilities. The bar(n) was friendly and atmospheric.

Super friendly campsite

The site is clean and well managed. The owner's made you feel welcome and ensured you had everything you needed. They even offered to pick up items from the shops for us. The showers etc are excellent. There was always plenty of very hot water on demand. Usually we use the facilities in our motor home, but on this site we used the site facilities 100%. The beauty of the site is that it caters for adults separated from families if so desired. I will definitely be back.

Short but lovely stay and we will return

We unfortunately only stayed two nights and headed out to Gower for our main day out. We loved Three Cliffs Bay beach and walked for miles. The site was great and a last minute pitch move made us very happy. The location is great if you drive out for the day but not very close to amenities. Tony was so helpful in advising places to visit and even offered driving us to the pub and back. Thanks Tony. Outstanding welcome and service and highly recommend.

Nice but not great

Nice views though disappointed to find the park is sandwiched between some busy roads. Whilst noise is low in evenings and at night, it's very clearly audible early morning and through day. Only one shower block based on the lower field, so not easily accessible from other fields via stairs and disappointed to find rubbish over pitch with rotting fruit, resulting in wasps and husband getting stung. Due to weather, which is no fault of the site, the dog walk was a mud bath.

A great base to explore from

There's not much to do around the site such as walks. However, it's a great base to travel to wherever you want as it's just off the M4. The instructions to get to the site are spot on The toilets and shower block was always clean and the showers are hot. It's peaceful and everyone respected the keep the noise down after 10:30 rule. Great stay and the weather was ok too!

Nice and peaceful

Lovely peaceful site with easy access to river for dog to enjoy a paddle. Very friendly and helpful staff. Didn't realise electric was metered but our error for not reading details properly. We didn't mind paying the few pounds extra at the end of our stay. WiFi was not working for us. Unusual bin/rubbish situation so check with reception for details. Bin area was very full and on the floor, but manager rectified the problem straight away.

Really lovely and relaxing site

What a lovely campsite. The owners keep this site clean, tidy and well managed. We were positioned in a large pitch with a hook up. We had neighbours but we all had our own space on the adult side. There is a separate side for families with children, which meant we could all enjoy our holiday, including children. The facilities are kept spotless and they cater for able bodied as well as disabled. There is a shop on site and a bar, with opening hours displayed. We really enjoyed our stay and we would recommend it to others.

All that's needed for a welcoming site

Pleasant location, easy access, secure with barriers. All info ready on arrival, easy set up. Good dog walking field. Shower and toilet block clean and good hot water. Easy waste, water etc disposal. Easy check out.

Good

As this was my first outing with a caravan, I don't have not much to compare to. The site was great with an on-site bar and good clean facilities. There was very limited mobile reception and although advertised as free Wi-Fi. It didn't reach my plot. Unfortunately, the quiet area was not so quiet either. The on site shop could have more essentials like milk/ bread, as site is quite rural. But overall, was a lovely place to stay.

Pretty as a picture

This is a really pretty little site, broken into 3 small paddocks each with its own unique charm. We were on the top field just below the large dog walking field. We had plenty of space, each pitch has its own hard standing and grass with a pretty view over a central grassed area with a small children's playpark. The site has only 2 showers per bathroom but having said that I was only ever the only person in at one time. The bathrooms are absolutely spotless with the hottest water of any site I've been on. The site caters for caravans, motorhomes and has its own camping pods for hire. It even has a bar on site that opens in busy periods. There is a small brook at the bottom of the site and pretty walks by the stream. I loved this site and would certainly recommend it but be aware that you have to choose carefully which electric appliances to have on at any one time as it is only 10amp. If you need to dry your hair wait to boil the kettle, it isn't a problem it is just a case of juggling and patience. There are loads of fabulous beaches and gardens and beautiful villages to visit. A lovely site and a gorgeous area to visit.
