VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding PitchesAug 2026

Fabulous site, friendly staff and excellent toilets and showers. Bar open 12- 10:30 doesn’t serve food however there are a couple of pop up food vendors that are on site some nights. A 20minute walk into Bakewell with shops, pubs and restaurants and a market every Monday. Will definitely be returning.

Clean and Tidy site.

Great little site. Close walking distance to Bakewell. The Stables bar is lovely and the visiting food vans great we tried the Pie Man would recommend. Toilets and showers kept clean and tidy. Whilst there 2 full days we cycled the Monsal Trail well worth doing and took a day trip to Chatsworth house via local taxi very accommodating. All in all good location for visiting Bakewell and surrounding area.

First time campers and it was really nice. As a single mum and 13 year old autistic son, greenhills was amazing little site for us to start our camping journey.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass PitchesJul 2026

Only our second time away camping in our VW and again, we picked a very nice site. No complaints at all, all very clean, toilets and shower facilities were spotless. Only get dirty when some very unhygienic people leave the toilets in an unacceptable mess. The Stable Bar and seating area was really nice and the Burgers from the burger van were really tasty, a very good idea. As it's a hilly area, I'd certainly recommend taking levellers. One thing I'd recommend that could make it better would be to extend the length of time the showers stay on for before you have to press the button again, but that's only a minor detail. A great place to go as well if you have a dog as it's very dog friendly. Many thanks.

Great campsite

Medium Tent - Electric Grass PitchesJul 2026

We had a great 2 night stay camping at Greenhills Holiday Park with electric hook up. All the facilities were spotless, great friendly bar selling a selection of drinks. The only reason I've scored as a 4 is down to the slope of our pitch, think we paid £87 for 2 night stop over. Would definitely go again would just ask for a level pitch if available.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass PitchesJul 2026

So we have just stayed at this site. The check in was quick and efficient with no issues. We were on grass with our campervan and the pitch was a good size, in good order but on a slight gradient, which was fine for us. The site was busy the first night with a bit of noise after midnight from what sounded like young kids? Obviously, the parents didn't care! The toilets and showers were in really good order and immaculately clean if you get in before other people, as the men's soon looked dirty but this was down to other campers and not the fault of the site. There appeared to be very little in the way of rules as we had kids booting a full size football near where people were pitched up, and near cars and campervans. Other campers had filled their pitch with vehicle, awning, tent and dog pen which clearly was way over the allocated pitch size. But if the owners don't check then people will push the boundaries. There were some lovely campers either side of us which was nice. You can walk into town and back without any issues. All in all, I really liked this site and has been included in my "sites within walking distance of town" which is shared with others. Looking forward to a return visit.

Medium Tent - Electric Grass PitchesJul 2026

What a lovely two nights. The facilities were always clean and plenty of toilets and showers. The pitches are marked out perfectly, no possible confusion. We didn't use the laundry area but it was available. The bar was a lovely addition and we had a lovely view from our tent. We chose this campsite because of its location to the Thornbridge Tap - walking distance so no one had to drive. We were not disappointed and will visit again.

First visit to this campsite, but will definitely be back. Lovely on-site bar, perfect distance from Bakewell. Toilets & shower blocks were spotlessly clean & I didn’t see one spider!…that makes me a very happy camper 🙂

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding PitchesJul 2026

I stayed with my family at Greenhills for the first time and had a great time. The site is situated about a 30 minute walk from the centre of Bakewell and is surrounded by the beautiful countryside. Amenities on site are clean and modern, offering two toilet/ shower blocks, laundry and a bar that was open during our stay. There is a small shop at reception but it only offers a few items, however there is a an Aldi which is a 10 minute walk down the road. We had a hardstanding pitch which was well laid out and maintained. Make sure you bring good pegs and a decent lump hammer if you want to peg anything out though as it felt like I was hammering into a concrete plinth! It had been very hot and dry before we stayed so the ground had probably been baked. We had two different food trucks visit while onsite and we received emails prior to our visit detailing prices and how to order in advance. We arrived around 2pm and were the only ones checking in. Reception was friendly and explained where everything was. Overall very happy with out visit and will look to stay again so we can walk the Monsal trail.

Nice stay

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding PitchesJul 2026

The site was very welcoming, good size pitch. The only downside was that the toilet block was always flooded with dirty water in the shower. The mop head left to use was very dirty, plus there is nowhere separated for teeth brushing. The shower block by the bar with separate cubicles was cleaner, but need something to hand shampoo etc on.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding PitchesJul 2026

Beautiful site, in a fantastic central location for seeing many of the local attractions. Clean, tidy and great facilities. Shame the bar area was only open our last night (Thursday) as we were away early in the morning, so couldn't make use of it. Would have been nice to be able to use throughout our 4 days.

The site was really clean as were the facilities. Hot showers and lots of them. The site was a 15min walk into Bakewell which was a great location. There were food trucks available on the Friday and Saturday which were handy and really good food.

Can't fault the place

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding PitchesJun 2026

Our only opinion was the shop not being well stocked enough, but this was the least of our worries. Really helpful staff. Also had a nice, fresh, stone baked pizza for £11 which I didn't think was bad at all. The next day was freshly made burgers, so had a nice variety.

Large Tent - Electric Grass PitchesJun 2026

Great stay for a first night away for our two year old. Stayed slightly off season so the site wasn’t rammed which gave us some privacy in our little pitch. Each pitch was well thought out and had easy access to power. Showers and toilets were always clean and great to use. Great pressure and temperature. The park was a hit for our little one. Aldi literally a roll down the hill. Great access to so many other local amenities in Bakewell and Chesterfield is only 30 mins away.

Lovely stay at Greenhills in Bakewell

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding PitchesJun 2026

Lovely site in a great location near Bakewell . The Barn pub was fantastic as was the pizza and pie vans. Could do with signs asking for people to leave things nice for the next person, especially the toilets and pot washing sinks . Will definitely visit again soon 👍🏻

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding PitchesJun 2026

This is a great location. I visited on a quiet midweek day so had masses of space to myself. The available facilities were excellent - showers great and really clean. But I wonder what it's like when the place is full as there are a lot of pitches. I chose the site because it offered an onsite bar / cafe so I was very disappointed to find it was closed. I can understand it may not be worth opening when the site is quiet but there really ought to be a discounted price. Its very expensive just to have a shower and water / disposal facilities.
